LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)-Apps like Nextdoor are becoming the new way neighbors report things they are seeing in their neighborhood. Many may wonder if neighborhood watch programs still exist. In the city of Lafayette, they are alive and well. The Lafayette Police Department says they can be helpful during investigations.
"When they see something and they report it to us it gives us the ability to come out and investigate suspicious incidents," said Lieutenant Randy Sherer with the Lafayette Police Department.
