An Airdrie youth managed to overcome pandemic restrictions to continue her yearly support of the Airdrie and District Hospice Society, raising $1,820 in the past year.
14-year-old Kia Brown has supported the Hike for Hospice for five years now, starting when she was nine years old. She has since kept up the yearly tradition of raising funds for the Hospice Society.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)-Apps like Nextdoor are becoming the new way neighbors report things they are seeing in their neighborhood. Many may wonder if neighborhood watch programs still exist. In the city of Lafayette, they are alive and well. The Lafayette Police Department says they can be helpful during investigations. When they see something and they report it to us it gives us the ability to come out and investigate suspicious incidents, said Lieutenant Randy Sherer with the Lafayette Police Department.
