'Places of Worship Act Does Not Apply,' Says VHP, Claims Gyanvapi Mosque has Always Been Temple

The Places of Worship Act states that the nature of a religious place cannot be changed and will remain as it was on August 15, 1947. The mosque committee has cited the Act before the Supreme Court to halt the ongoing survey proceedings.
