Label suspends Wallen's contact after using N-word; radio axes his songs
Wednesday, February 3, 2021 – Big Loud Records announced Wednesday it was suspending Morgan Wallen's contract after he was caught on camera Sunday night using the N-word in front of his home after a night out with friends.
Big Loud Records said, "In the wake of recent events, Big Loud Records has made the decision to suspend Morgan Wallen's contract indefinitely."
"Republic Records fully supports Big Loud's decision and agrees such behavior will not be tolerated."
Wallen issued an apology on Tuesday, but received blowback from country radio and from artists, including Maren Morris and Mickey Guyton.
