La Crosse Mayor makes two proclamations recognizing the Hmong Community

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – At a time when those in the Asian American community have been the target of violence around the country, Thursday La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat made two proclamations recognizing the Hmong community.
The mayor recognized the Hmong New Year and the HMOOB Cultural and Community Agency on Ward Avenue as being vital for the community.
President of the HMOOB Cultural and Community Agency, Nao Houa Tony Yang says, “We are your neighbors, we are your colleagues and we are people that work in the community. So it is important to work together and that we show respect toward each other and I think that we are stronger when we unite and work together.”
