Now its a different race, essentially. Adam schiff could run steve garveys campaign in the top two primary system. Now steve garvey has to find his own voice. Lets check in with Steve Paulson for a look at our weather today. What can we expect . Well, theres a lot of low clouds. It wont be as active as yesterday. Thats the good news. Santa rosa went from three quarters of a mile to eight because i think a north breeze kicked in same for the napa airport. Theres a slight northerly breeze. They were dows eight, but theres an extensive fog bank, especially around parts of well peninsula livermore down to san jose. I mean, theres over the bay as well, but if that northerly breeze can stay with us, then north northwest, but its northwest for many here in northerly, except for a few, but most locations are favoring at northerly breeze, especially on the coast. There Half Moon Bay 18 gusting to 26, still, though most locations sfo is west, that wont do it, but if we can get that northerly breeze and you can see its there, but its having a hard time scouring out all that low cloud deck, 40s and 50s on the temps, a couple of 30s to the north, but mainly 40s and 50s. If you can get somec clearing, i think well get a few more 30s to the north. 21. Truckee 19. South lake tahoe 49. In los angeles 36. Crescent city. Thats really cold for them in early march, no doubt. Uh, the system is taking the turn. Theyre heading exit stage right, for las vegas. And also into arizona. Should be an active day for around phoenix, scottsdale and around prescott and sedona. Maybe flagstaff as well. Is that low is out of our forecast zone. But give it credit. That overachieved yesterday by a big margin say mostly sunny, partly sunny pattern here thursday and friday. But lo and behold, forecast models have trended wetter for the weekend. Im not surprised. Uh, starting saturday could be some sunday night. More likely late sunday into monday, and then one more system on tuesday. This is a big ramp up from santa rosa, ukiah, up to Crescent City. My goodness, even redding and more. Snow. Now for the mountains again. So this is this is taking quite a turn there in the last 24 hours. So lots of low clouds, fog, mostly cloudy in the morning, chilly, but i think well get more sun here with that northerly breeze and a little warmer, which is why im going 66 for santa rosa, 65 for napa napa airport in fairfield as well. But i think that low cloud deck may be rather obstinate and not burn off as soon towards areas down towards Santa Clara Valley. It looks good on friday. Then we cloud it a lot of cloud cover and rain will take us into the early next week. Thank you. usteve. An east bay mother was killed inside her own home. It is a close race in Silicon Valley to fill the seat of retiring congresswoman anna eshoo, former san jose mayor sam liccardo, leading the way with the Santa Clara County supervisor joe simitian. Assemblyman evan low is behind that, with just about a couple thousand votes behind the top, two candidates will face off in the november general election. We got a competitive race and i know that a lot of folks will be watching the county carefully. Uh, the good news is at least the early results, uh, are good news for me. And so ill continue to press ahead and prepare for the next eight months. It was a crowded race that at one time had 11 candidates. The Santa Clara County registrar of voters saysuit will be counting spthose ballots for days alone. Among the candidates i have represented 14 of the 15 cities and towns, so these are places i know pretty well and people ive represented, and i know their views, their values and their needs. Weve seen close to historic lows in a president ial primary. And so as the votes are still being counted, im hopeful to see the potential to be in the top two primary. All three candidates say if they are on the ballot in november, the plan is to get some rest for now and then spapproach this next Campaign Cycle like its an entirely new race. San jose came in behind ann arbor, michigan, which was ranked number one. Two. Madison, wisconsin was third, and after san jose in fourth place, portland, maine was ranked fifth. The report looked at crime, weather, health care, and education to determine the rankings. All right, 518 is the time. Back over to Steve Paulson. What are you keeping an eye on in weather . Well, you get a little breakn by the weekend. A lot of low clouds in place here, although some of it is beginningc to dissipate because of a northerly breeze. Santa rosa theres an extensive fog bank over parts ofuthe peninsula and also the south bay. But i think over time it will take care of itself. Friday, the weekend we start to cloud it up again. I think rain returns yesterday though, was just it was all about in the morning. Santa cruz, santa cruz mountain, san jose up towards peninsula and San Francisco, marin county in the afternoon it was all about areas to the east. Moraga that was at saint marys college, an inch and 18 100 east dublin near dublin, over an inch of rain. Fremont. East fremont near ohlone. College. 91. Calero reservoir 85 100 san leandro reservoir, almost three quarters of an inch. San jose itself had two thirds. San ramon not only rain but hail 59 100 in hayward. Also with a half inch of rain, little northerly breeze is kicking in that should take care of that low cloud deck. May take a while for some, but look at Half Moon Bay 21 north to 31. That will make a warmer day once we get going here, but not everyone is in on that northerly breeze yet. Our system is now almost into arizona as it starts rosa 46 napa. They get a little north breeze. Petaluma those 41. So the cooler temps are to the north. That low cloud deck keeping 40s and 50s for a lot of locations though. 2119 truckee, south lake tahoe, 54 las vegas, palm springs and 36 in Crescent City. My goodness, thats cold for early march. Uh, the system is out of the picture, but it left behind a lot of moisture. But that north breeze will allow for more sun the next couple of days here. Warmest day looks to be friday by far, and then well start to cloud it up again as we head towards the weekend. Look at i mean, this has gone from a little bit to a lot a bit if you will, as we head into saturday and then again, looks like sunday night into monday and maybe one more on tuesday. Thats a lot of rain being forecast there, projected for santa rosa ukiah. C look at Crescent City. My goodness in redding. Thats a huge change from yesterday. So well see if they hold on to that. But i would not be surprised. Its that kind of a year. A lot of low clouds and fog, chilly lows, but low clouds will give way to more sun, a little warmer, especially if you can get that breeze on the coast. Maybe Higher Elevations and areas to the north. 50s for a few 6ps, maybe some mid 60s. Tomorrow looks to be the warmest day, but here we go again for of cloud cr and some rain. All right steve.
