Killed his wife and unborn son. It has been said that there is no honor among thieves. The Sacramento County da joined other top das in denouncing edd for failing to check inmate lists like its done and 35 other states. They also failed to check where the funds are going. There was money sent to prisons. Even names that were clearly phony were not flagged. Even names like john doe, in one case someone had the audacity to put their name as poopy purchase. Several people have been convicted but the da says even with clear evidence of fraud that edd could not take action. Under the regulations they were all bound by, they could not cut people off until we file the charges. The El Dorado County da said another cruel irony lies in the fact that those truly out of work are having problems getting through to edd. They are unable to get money because they dont know the system the way inmates do. Assemblyman Jim Patterson says he wants edd officials to testify under oath about their systemic failures. We will be the laughing stock of the United States that we are sending potentially, 1 billion to criminals with names like john doe and poopy pants. They say they are working on suspicious claims and they said we are also pursuing how to integrate Going Forward as part of enhanced preventative measures during this pandemic fraud happening across the country. Edd also told me that they are working with state Cyber Security officials. Those das meanwhile have launched a task force to try to crack down on edd fraud behind bars. It is crazy to think that this could be happening. So what happens now to all the money that was sent to prisoners . The da says all that money is just about unrecoverable. Its been burned by the inmates. We will continue to follow this and see what happens. Ktvu has been following the problems with the edd for months. To see our reports just go to ktvu. Pickle ball. It gets him out running with no pe class. Its both important and fun. But for many of those living near the four Pickle Ball Courts, fun is not an word that pops up much. Pickle ball is extremely loud, and its constant. It goes from, at best, eight in the morning until the parks close at eight at night. Thats the sound of pickle ball, although the harder a player hits with a paddle the louder it gets. When i come home from work i just want quiet. Not bang, bang, bang. It is a fun sport, its lively and pretty easy to pick up. It needs to be somewhere else. Neighbors have become activists, they have up petition demanding that it turns back to tennis ball courts. That situation where the rain is working its way in, that will most likely undercut write in through here and that is our opportunity for rain. That is a ways off. Live outside there is a little bit of fog at the coast. It will be around a little bit tomorrow but not a very robust layer. It will be gone pretty quick. And we will set up another day tomorrow a lot like today. A little bit of frost, north facing, especially in mind, and then the coolest locations are in the mid30s. You will find low 30s and maybe some valley fog. Theres that system that just kind of brushes to the north. And look at all this activity up here. I talked about this last night. Surfers love this. There is big surf forming along the coast, a High Surf Advisory will go into effect and we may see some pictures, but that said with the warmer weather in this big surf and the holiday and people going to the beach, it is dangerous. The plan is to transport doses in insulated boxes similar to these with a layer of ice, several flat boxes of vaccine, then more dry ice. Will help keep the vaccine cold from 48 to 72 hours. And this is basically to protect it from one super deep freeze transported to the next super deep freeze. Yes sir, exactly. Business slowdowns have already put stress on the ice industry, the Paul Carpenter hopes this investment will pay off with some normalcy when its finally all over.
