There Quality Centers picked up on the changes on this was the case for today. We check out there quality and we would like to be reporting green conditions in the good range. Of course that is not the case. Unhealthy and very unhealthy and basically the headlines, you could limit Outdoor Activity for both of these groups. These are the current observations. Right now we are showing you a bunch of red indicating unhealthy air across the bay area for san rafael, San Francisco, oakland and livermore toward the peninsula, fremont, san jose. You cant really do that in a restaurant. Reporter Public Health experts as the study did not impact tables facing, air circulation and other cautionary protocols. All of those are not the same. If youve got a restaurant that has excellent air circulation moving away from people exchanging the are frequently in the room, thats probably a much lower risk. Definitely open up all the doors and windows and we have a lot of air flowing through the restaurant. I feel like as long as i am able to distance and there is flowing that i feel safer. Each of us has to make an individual decision about our risk tolerance. Reporter bottom line, the researchers say their study reinforces the need to comply with masking, social distancing and other Public Health measures. A ucla study finds its doctors may have been treating covid19 patients weeks before anyone knew the virus arrived in the u. S. An analysis of medical records says doctors at ucla reported a significant spike in patients with respiratory problems in late december. But there is no way to determine if the patients have the virus. The First Official coronavirus case was recognized by the cdc in midjanuary. A lab worker with the San Francisco medical Examiners Office is facing several charges after allegedly being caught with an evidence bag of methamphetamine. Justin volk was arrested in utah on august 31st. He was pulled over for speeding. Authorities said they found meth pipes in an evidence bag containing crystal meth inside of his car. Tonight San Jose Police released by the camera footage of three separate incidents during Racial Justice protests in may that they say are of extraordinary public interest. During demonstrations on may 31st Police Responded to reports of possible looting and a bank of America Branch at fourth and san fernando. Police fired a foam baton around at one of the suspects. They said the suspect then ran to the street and into the path of a police motorcycle. He refused medical treatment, and was taken into custody. The other two incidents happened friday may 29th at around 5 00 p. M. Police say they had ordered the crowd to disperse. One man refused and an officer pushed him back with his baton. They say there was a scuffle and the protester tried to grab the baton from the officer. They say the confrontation continued until officers wrestled the man to the ground. He was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries. Half an hour later police were outside city hall. They say a protester had thrown a water bottle at an officer. Officers tried to arrest the man at one point filed fired a fromm projectile at him. Officer ran off. San jose police said the video depicts one officer using offensive and unacceptable language during the protest. Internal Affairs Investigators are delaying investigations. The videos are being released to offer the public more clarity into each incident. The San FranciscoPolice Officers who shot and killed mario woods in 2015 will not face any punishment. According to the citys police department, excuse me, the Citys Department of Police Accountability, the officers used unnecessary force, but will face no discipline. Police suspected woods and a stabbing and he was holding a knife when he was shot 20 times by five officers. The department of Police Accountability found the officers did not deviate from flawed policies that existed at the time of the incident in 2015. Here in the bay area San Francisco firefighters held ceremonies to honor other firefighters who lost their lives trying to save lives on september 11th. Some of the departments newest firefighters took turns reading the names of the First Responders who lost their lives. Ceremonies took place at every fire station across the city at 6 59 this morning to mark the moment the south tower of the World Trade Center collapsed. Police in the south bay have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a downtown park. Ktvu jesse gary tells us the incident happened in broad daylight and a witness intervened. Reporter pictures from a passerby sell video show an alleged Sexual Assault taking place in the middle of downtown san jose. The suspect denies wrongdoing and refuses to come out of a public restroom in st. James park. Officers ultimately used tasers to make the arrest. 41yearold Takuma Bashir is facing three charges related to Sexual Assault. There may be other victims linked to him. The downtown area is very crowded, lots of people. Our hope is there are no additional victims. But if this post helps bring in witnesses or other people who have been well advised victimized we want to address those issues.
