Firefighters are trying to contain three huge wildfire complexes that have been burning across the bay area for a week now. One of them, the czu complex fire covers five counties. Here is a mac of the czu complex fire compared to the scu complex fire and lnu complex fire. Here is a map of the latest evacuation orders in santa clara and alameda counties. The areas in red have evacuation orders. Meaning you have to get out immediately. The areas in yellow, they are under evacuation warnings. So be prepared to evacuate at any moment. The evacuation warnings do not include the cities of livermore or pleasanton. So far firefighters have been successful in keeping the big flames away from heavily Populated Areas and only five buildings have been lost at this point. The cal fire commanders say about 20,000 buildings are in the path of the fires. They also say its already tired of writing firefighter battle and its far from over. We have an messaging to all of our cooperators that we are going to have to set manageable paces because this is going to be a very longterm incident. Firefighters say battling these big wildfires will be a major challenge in the days and the weeks ahead. They save resources are stretched incredibly soon all across california. For what they fear could be californias worst fire season ever. The time is now 403. Well the lnu complex fire is the second biggest wildfire in california history. It includes the tennessee fire in napa and lake counties. The walbridge fire, and the myers fire. More than 543 square miles have burned in the Rosemary Orozco. The woodward fire near point raised is not considered a part of the lnu complex fire. More than seven firefighters are battling the lnu complex fire and even more are coming to help from outofstate. Cal fires priority, keep any new fires from becoming big ones. We do have a plan in order to immediately attack those fires but it will take some work. Now more than 870 buildings, including homes have been destroyed in this fire. Cal fire predicts the lnu complex fire will keep running for weeks. That area near the town of davenport and big basin state park has been under of a mandatory evacuation order. Cal fire says it is burned 115 square miles it has destroyed 163 buildings and 12 others have been damaged. Still not clear how many of those buildings, or how many of them or homes. I had an opportunity today to go out on the line and just do a little bit more of the fire area. And its pretty devastating the amount of destruction that has occurred. Several People Living in and around the town of bonnie doon are defined evacuation orders and plan to stay so they can try and save their homes.
