Governor newsom has announced a new, first of its kind Program Helping seniors during the crisis the. This would provide restaurants with emergency funds to deliver fear meals to homebound seniors at risk of the virus. County and city agencies handle the initial rollout of the program. It would require changes for many california restaurants in charge of the home deliveries. When you deliver food there is additional cost than just the food, you have delivery, gas. These are 17yearold so, you can be passionate, driven by do well in school, but who you are and how you do things during this time and what your act of these are to showcase your passion is what will help you get in. Organizers of the testing event say the Latinx Community has been disproportionately affected and the study will help them better understand the extent of infection in the community and connect to those infected with services. The goal is to test 6000 people for free. You have to fill out a questionnaire, do a nasal swab and blood test for antibodies. Swab result will be ready in 72 hours and antibody in 24 weeks. People who are tested will get the results and instructions on what to do next. Organizers say it is important to test those vulnerable communities. New state data shows more than 5000 confirmed cases and Skilled Nursing facilities across california. There are 3100 residents and 2100 Staff Members. There have been at least 500 deaths so far linked to Nursing Homes within the state. Nationwide, the numbers show more than 10,000 people connecting to Nursing Homes have died. That is one fifth of all u. S. Coronavirus deaths. One of the bigger outbreaks in San Francisco involves a Single Room Occupancy Hotel. 24 people have tested positive, 22 residents and many who live there are spanishspeaking with limited access to other housing. Homeless advocates also want london breed to begin widespread testing on people who are living on the streets and in shelters. They are looking into one of the deadliest outbreaks in the area. 10 residents at the Residential Home located in redwood city have died from the coronavirus or complications from it. One of the People Killed is the former stanford president donald kennedy. Faculty says at least 20 residents and seven Staff Members have tested positive. In oakland three residents have died at the xl energy Healthcare Center. 17 of the Staff Members at the facility all tested positive for the virus. Officials in Santa Clara County say they are stepping up measures to protect People Living in longterm care facilities, as well as other facilities like that. They are doing that by supporting the directors and managers who run those facilities. Public Health Nurses are being assigned to each facility to share Infection Control guidelines and help protect residents and staff. Officials say they are in constant communication with sites of potential cases are reported. It is almost impossible that cases would not have appeared in the facilities. But, we also know that with good Infection Control practices, we can minimize the spread of further transmission and the impact into the communities. Details on cases of Long Term Care facilities cannot be found on the coronavirus data dashboard on santa claras Public Health website. The governor has announced a new first of its kind Program Designed to help restaurants and seniors during the crisis. It would provide restaurants with emergency funds to deliver meals to homebound seniors who are at risk for the virus. County and city agencies would handle the initial rollout and it would require some changes for many of californias restaurants who would be in charge of those home deliveries. In when you deliver food there is additional cost than just the food. You have the delivery, the gas. Can help our own budget and the senior programs we have rolled out. It all depends on what the governor has laid out in terms of who qualifies for the program. Both state and federal agencies would fund the program which will pay for three meals a day seven days a week.
