More of a technical problem than a manpower issue. Bay area state senator was the chair of the Labor Community which oversees the edd. He wants people to know that the office is moving as quickly as possible during this unprecedented moment. What are some of the things in addition to oversight that you and your constituents or peers at the legislature could offensively do if we continue to see some of these slowdowns or have you explored some of those options . We will make the changes and adjustments as necessary to meet the demand and certainly make sure people are not unnecessarily waiting for those allimportant checks. Worker advocacy groups also have seen a surgeon calls from people struggling with unemployment. Their advice is to apply online, if you cant, be patient, persistent and make sure you keep track of everything. To really document their attempts of trying to get through on the phone if they havent been able to get through and absolutely that would be considered good cause and their claims should be backdated. When they eventually get through and get their monies it should be retroactive. We still have to pay bills, we still have to survive and live life read its not like they are being completely empathetic to our situation. The edd is expecting another search starting april 28 when independent contractors can begin applying for pandemic unemployment assistance. Just something that resembles normal and we have it tonight. The clockutting together a with their first pick. It didnt come simply, they as you probably know had the number 13 and 31 pics, they just made a trade less than five minutes ago with tampa, they wanted to give tom brady a little more protection on the offensive line at right tackle. They selected tristan works from iowa. So the 49ers move one picked down to number 14, and they are literally on the clock. So before we go off the air we will be able to deliver that pic for you. With the number one pick we pretty much have known who it would be for months, and there were no surprises with the very first ever virtual nfl draft. The Cincinnati Bengals select joe burrow, quarterback, lsu. Of course there is no such thing as a sure thing, but joe burrow is about as close to it as it comes. Finally at lsu he had a perfect season, national championship, won the Heisman Trophy in a runaway. As for his skill set, hes got 64, athleticism, great accuracy with his throws, the mechanics are all there. Sensational attitude, his decisionmaking is great, and simply put, he had his best games against the very best teams that his lsu tigers played. Hes gone from playing a tiger to a cincinnati bangle. Changing the subject for just a second. You youngsters probably think Shaquille Oneal is just a guy on the nba post game show and pushes a lot of products on tv. As oldtimers, remember a little more about the big diesel. He brought the whole thing down goodness. That really happened, april 23, this date in 1993. For more on this day in sports april 23, joe fonzi and another memorable 49ers draft day. It was 15 years ago on this day that the San Francisco 49ers select alex smith. 49ers fans might always wonder how things would have turned out if they got aaron rodgers. In 2015, it was the day that carries 40 points led the warriors to a 30 lead in the series. On this day last year the sharks player was bloodied by a cross check with the vegas serving a major penalty, san jose scored four powerplay goals in four minutes. Then another one in overtime. Thats this day in sports april 23, im joe fonzi. We will have the pic for you tonight at 7 oclock and more input, thats the sporting life. See you later everyone, good night. Good night. Mummies and zombies are the exact same thing. Oh, yeah . Mummies are wrapped in bandages. Thats called a fashion choice. All right, you brought this on yourself. Sheldon, get him. If a zombie bites you, you turn into a zombie. However, if a mummy bites you, all you turn into is some schmo with a mummy bite. So, like a zombie, thats been eaten from the waist down, you, sir, have no leg to stand on. Good boy. Heres a cookie. Oh, thank you. Hey, fellas, whats going on . Mummies and zombies again. Oh, theyre not the same thing. You get a cookie, too. Thanks. Guess who picked up his new car this morning . Koothrappali congratulations. Does it have that new car smell . Yep for as long as i can keep my mother out of it. If you want to check it out later, its parked right out front, space 294. Im sorry 294 . Yeah. Thats my parking spot. Why do you have a parking spot . You dont have a car. You dont even drive. It doesnt matter. Thats my spot. Maybe they reassigned it because you never use it. Well, im not using my nipples, either. Maybe they should reassign those. Sheldon, someday, if you get a car, im sure theyll give you another parking space. I dont want another parking space. I want my parking space. Its perfect. Its a corner spot, cutting the risk of doordings in half. Its a mere 28 steps from the building entrance. The nearby tree provides shade on hot days and is also home to a delightful squirrel. Which is fortuitous because most squirrels are real jerks
