Compliments of several buses they received at 8 50 last night, up at Travis Air Force base in fairfield, about 37 miles from here. We know they are going to get more people going up there today. The one thing we are sure to be noticed of was the fact that travis says if anyone tests positive for the coronavirus, those folks will not be going to Travis Air Force base. They will be going elsewhere, they are only going to take people that are going to be put into courting. Thats in order to protect people themselves that are being quarantined, not to mention their own staff and people like that. That is the situation here. At the boat, as they say, there has been a lot of activity. Some people have come off, and there are a bus or two there, just not the fleet of vehicles there were yesterday, was suggests they dont have a system. Apparently, that system has to do with color coding. If you are a certain color wristband or whatever device they have, you will be called and it will be your turn to go through this process. As we speak, people are coming up the book, some of them, all of them that we saw were being swabbed, and also had a device put in their ear, which was most likely a thermometer of some sort. There are probably, as we say, from the latest reports, about 570 people have already been taken off of the ship. Of the 2400 or so passengers, their 18 or 1900 more people on the ship that have yet to leave. That makes it very clear this is going to be a multiday process. We can see the driver and several passengers wearing protective masks. Some people that live near travis and they dont like what is happening. The need to stay away. Its a city within itself there as it is. They could get medical people on board. The passengers at travis are not showing any signs of infection. They will be closely monitored over the next two weeks. Before he been a large gatherings in Santa Clara County goes into effect, there is a meeting with county leaders to extend a local health emergency. She also reminded everyone to cover their cough and to also leave as soon as possible. This is one of many ways that Santa Clara County is preventing the spread of coronavirus. This morning the board of supervisors heard from people about whats being done to address the virus. Santa clara countys original plan was to focus on containment measures. Tracking cases and tracing contacts. Now Public Health officer dr. Sarah cody says they are also taking mitigation measures, figuring out best ways to slow the spread of coronavirus. Santa clara county so far has 43 positive cases and one death. Dr. Cody says they cant event everyone for being affected by coronavirus, but their goal is to protect vulnerable populations like the elderly, foster children, and the homeless preachy so the county has been effective in collaborating and mobilizing resources and its that teamwork mentality that has to keep them going through this outbreak. This is all hands on deck. We each have a role to play. We need everyone coming together and doing everything that they can, and i think whats extraordinarily difficult but so important is this is moving so fast, we each have so much information, but its incredibly important that we stay calm, and we stay unified, and we minimize the chaos as much as possible. Only people that are going to be quarantined are going to be taken there. People on this cruise come from all over the United States. The majority of them or at least the greatest number are californians, which should not surprise anybody. California is the biggest date in the most convenient for this particular port. But folks that would live in the south, i would say would probably go to Lackland Air Force base, folks in the southeast, Huge Population center these days. They would probably go to georgia and Southern Californians, Southern Californias population is bigger than most other states would probably go down to miramar, all very large bases, theres plenty of room to do things like this, provided that they have the facilities and apparently the cdc has determined they do.
