Were expecting similar conditions. Theyre calling this the swag art fire because it was reported off the road. Thats a good distance from where we are. Behind us is calaveras road in milipitas. Were told you have to drive to the open space preserve to get to where this happened. First reported 5 30 yesterday evening. The good news, this fire is 45 contained. And threatened by the fire a li bit. But firefighters kept the flames from spreading. And now, no homes or buildings were threatened by this. No one was injured. There are hot and dry weather conditions expected again today. Again, cal fire firefighters were able to keep that grass fire off swagart road contained in the hills here. East of milipitas. And they are going to continue to do that work today to make sure no hot spots or anything flairs up again. But a little later this morning. Were going to try to get closer to where this all happened to give you a better look. But for now, no one had to be evacuate the. And no building evacuated. And no buildings were threatened by this fire. In solano county, the marsh view fire has burned 183 acres, south of cordelia. Skyfox shot this video of flames running up a dry llside, threatened by the fire. Its now 60 contained. The area frequently gets very strong winds. So crews have not estimated when that will be fully contained. New information this morning, about a highspeed car crash in san frathat San Francisco that turned a city canal. Police told us that there were four people inside that silver mazda, when it crashed at third street. Between highway 101. Just before 1 15 this morning. All of them were taken to the hospital, with nonlifethreatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation. But police do believe that speed factored into the crash. And that means the traffic at the metering lights is slow. In fact, im going to move to the toll plaza. You can see its pretty steep here. 20, maybe even a 25minute delay because of that stall in San Francisco coming off the bridge. So there we have it. Someone is having a bad day. Some San Francisco businesses are crying the blues over all the money theyre losing because of all of the Construction Projects going on in the city. Well, now, city officials are looking for ways to help those businesses stay in business. Ktvus Cristina Rendon is along van ness avenue in San Francisco now. You have more on this. Good morning, cristinna. Good morning. Yes, if you have driven on van ness avenue you have seen the construction. Businesses say this is hurting their bottom line. Ask theyre not sure if some of them can survive. In fact, a committee is going to be talking about this exact topic. This is an Improvement Project going on, on van ness avenue. Its going to bring San Francisco its first bus Rapid Transit system. But there are a number of businesses on this avenue between market and bay street. And some of these owners say the construction is really hurting them. The vanness Improvement Project is three years in. And earlier this year, the projected completion was pushed back. Its now scheduled for 2021. Ive had barricades and and less foot traffic. So just darker. Someone recently told me that they thought i was a few months. This project is dismantling its crashing. To help businesses like cross fit golden gate stay afloat. We know that 5 million has been set aside in a Small Business fund. And that could either be used to possibly issue 0 interest loans or create a grant system to save those struggling businesses. We understand the city leaders and the sfmta are expected to formalize their plan. And tonight that, meeting is a committee that oversees the project. Also today, legal arguments over a proposed travel ban on muslims, by the Trump Administration. The 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco will hear the case. The proposed ban would be for people coming into the u. S. From seven mostly muslim countries, including syria, iraq, iran, and libya. The group called Muslim Advocates is arguing one behalf of 34 individuals who claim their families being torn apart. Because their waiver applications have been denied or on hold for a long time. The government, on the other hand, argues the ban is legal and wants the case thrown out. Another judge on the 9th Circuit Court, temporarily blocked the Trump Administration from enforcing new restrictions on immigrants, applying for asylum here in the u. S. The policy would require migrants to pass through another country to pass through asylum in the u. S. , to first apply in the other country, before coming to the u. S. But the judge called that policy inconsistent, with current laws. So it is on hold until a lawsuit is settled. Time is now 6 36. There are now reports from the Associated Press that hundreds of Central American migrants who have applied for asylum here in the u. S. Are being loaded onto buss and dropped off in the buses and dropped off in mexico. The Associated Press says its reporters saw the buses in recent days, carrying at least 450 Central American migrants, from a border town, across from laredo, texas, to the city of monterey. The a. P. Says the migrants were not taken to shelters and were not given any assistance at all. They were just dropped off at the bus terminal. Cal fire is dealing with two wildfires in the bay area this morning. One started south of the calaveras reservoir.
