Reporter magazines and letters were pulled from her mailbox in the long lounge when a former student opened one of the letters. She said this one has white powder in the envelope. At first, it didnt register what she told me and then i realize that i needed to tell the authorities. Reporter both women got powder on their hands and they were concerned about it being hazardous. They washed their hands with soap at the sink and called Stanford Police. Hazmat teams shut down two classrooms, tested the powder and examined the note that contained this threat. Police said the incident was reported last week and the student had abrasions afterwards. The School District fired her and now she faces charges of felony child abuse. A San Francisco men charged with killing a dog was in court. The 35yearold suspect is accused of breaking into a car last weekend and throwing a chihuahua dog from the seventh floor of a parking garage in stockton. He faces charges including auto burglary, cruelty to animals and vandalism. The prosecutor wants him to be ordered to stay away from all animals if released and the judge plans to consider this before the next court date later this month. The family he had been living with, the family of a current student, said they had no idea what he was planning. His name is Nicholas Cruzan he was arrested about an hour after the shooting yesterday in parkland florida. First he was taken to the hospital, then he was released to the police. Authorities say his mother died in november and then later moved into a family friend. According to the family they knew he had a Assault Rifle and made him walk in the cabinet although the suspect had a key. Spec the young man accused of the shooting has lived here about 90 days. His mother recently passed away in november and this family took him in. They knew him from douglass high school. They are shocked, cannot believe this. Dont know what to say. And they are just cooperating with Law Enforcement in every way that they can. Police searched the home where the suspect has been living. Authorities say he posted disturbing material on social media before that deadly shooting rampage. One student said cruise was expelled after fighting with his exgirlfriends new boyfriend last year. The students describe a terrifying scene of the school during that mass shooting. He ran up and down the hallway, just banging and shooting into the classrooms. He shot through my door. I broke the window. 17 people were killed. The victims include both students and adults. Another 14 people were hospitalized with injuries. The school has grief counselors available to students and staff. But now its a crime scene and will be closed for the rest of the week. Last august 23yearold Abel Esquivel was shot to death near 26 in south van ness avenue. In San Francisco. Police arrested three men for the shooting. The family claims that even as all that was happening the officer whose gun was used still did not know it was missing. They know that what happened when they dont take care of their weapons, is a crime, Violent Crime and potential death results. San francisco policy require officers to place firearms in a locked metal container affixed to the vehicle or inside the locked trunk of the vehicle out of public view.
