Thanks, rosemary. Emoryville Police Continue to search for two police accused of ramming into two police cars after 8 30 last night outside of the home depot on who will hollis street. When officers arrived they saw two people inside that car trying to hide in the floor and brass knuckles in plain view. When they refused to come out, officers broke the window and one of the suspects started the car and rammed into two police cars. No officer were hurt. Police think the suspects may be have been casing the store. It is 7 32, criminal charges will not be filed against the driver a berkeley city vehicle that hit and killed a 70yearold pedestrian. The collision happened on friday just below the cal campus. While investigators believe it was a terrible accident. Neighbors telling amber lee, the intersection is extremely dangerous. On this day a large sewage maintenance truck blocked the intersection while crews worked in the area. It may have made it difficult to see for both the driver and the pedestrian. We are investigating if that truck was a contributing factor as a possible visual obstruction. The Highway Patrol says the prix use went around the prius went around the truck. The driver stopped and was cooperative. We dont believe speed was a factor, proceeded through the intersection. We have plenty of witnesses that the maintenance workers, in fact, they were able to inform us the vehicle was traveling approximately 15 Miles Per Hour. Neighbors tell me they avoid walking or driving through that intersection. They say the addition of bike lanes in recent years created hazard, a three way stop sign at the intersection is not enough. Its a very narrow street that people can drive through. And so you never can really see whether a car is parked or a car is driving through. So i never cross there. Why . We do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision. Well the man accused of hit and killing a chp officer on Christmas Eve is out of the hospital and this morning he is waking up behind bars. We know that that is a bad inch, what is a more telling number, people less than 65 are doing poorly. Because they shouldnt be dying. When someone younger doesnt die of flu. People who do poorly with the flu has an underlying condition. Bacterial knew only i cant, heart or lung failure.
