Everett jamison is in custody accused of plotting a terror attack at pier 39. He faces charges on friday in a federal court in fresno. The fbi says he targeted pier 39 and knew it was crowded around the holidays. A source first alerted the fbi in september about a facebook account that was under jamisons name that was liking and loving posts that were pro isis and supported the october terror attack in new york city. Over the next several months he communicated with someone on social media but it was an fbi undercover employee. Court documents said he asked for ammunition, timers, and an Assault Rifle and said he could operate a tow truck later applying to operate one in the city of modesto. He sent maps of the pier on monday. He claimed he wanted to use explosives, which he described to use explosives, which would tunnel or funnel people in a location where he could inflict mass casualties. Reporter pier 39 brings thousands of people to the waterfront for the holidays and according to Court Documents, that is why 26yearold Everett Aaron jamerson, a former marine from modesto, named pier 39 as a target location for a possible terror attack on Christmas Day. Saying he had been there before and no reconnaissance or site survey would be necessary. A source alerted to the fbi in september about a facebook account under his name that was liking and loving posts that were pro isis and supported the october terror attack in new york city. Over the next several months, jamison communicated on social media without source and someone he thought was an isis official but actually was an undercover fbi employee. Court documents say jameson asked the employee for ammunition, timers, remote detonators and an Assault Rifle and said he could operate a tow truck. Later applying to operate one for the city of modesto. The fbi did what they had to do which was to put undercover agents in contact with him. Reporter jameson allegedly sent the employee maps and photos of pier 39 on monday. Court documents say jameson explained he also desire to use explosives and describe the plan and which explosives, tunnel or funnel people into a location where jameson could inflict casualties. Authorities say the suspect fired at a Capitol Police car around 4 00 yesterday afternoon and then at a Pennsylvania State trooper a few blocks away. Authorities say the state trooper was injured but is expected to make a full recovery. The suspect was killed during the shootout with the police. As you saw there are police cars here from throughout the region. Everyone responded quickly. It sounded like firecrackers at first and then i heard a barrage of shots and i assumed that was the officers shooting back. Authorities say the suspect was directly targeting Police Officers and he was armed with two handguns. The fbi is helping in the investigation. The chronicle reports three shoppers called 911 from a safeway supermarket the night of december 11 reporting that a man had collapsed. One caller told dispatchers the man was the mayor of San Francisco. A Santa Clara County Medical Center emergency room doctor is walking after a surfing accident last month left him paralyzed from the neck down. Doctor Matthew Wetschler was surfing at ocean beach when a wave knocked him into the shallow waters headfirst breaking his neck. Another surfer who was in icu nurse was able to help them get to shore. Doctors at zuckerberg San Francisco general performed a procedure called alter early surgery and it was a success. Weeks later the doctor took his first steps. Doctors say the procedure will be used as a template for treating spinal cord injuries in the future. Those first steps were joyful. Marine graduating in 2009 after going through basic training but he was soon discharged after lying on his enlistment paperwork about his asthma history. Still, jameson qualified as a rifle sharpshooter. He is smart. Hes very bright. Reporter he was close to his aunt. She said he was married and had two kids but everett and ashley were divorced in 2016. Right now ashley is in jail for robbery. His family says there was a history of Domestic Violence. Records show charges have been filed against her. A nasty custody battle led to jameson losing his children. Thats when everything about him kind of changed. He was different. Reporter his children ages 2 and 3 were adopted. Then jameson decided to become muslim. That was two years ago at merced islamic center. He is a gentle and kind muslim. Reporter Court Documents say he took to social media supporting isis terrorists, liking posts related to the october terrorist attack in new york city and developing radical jihadi beliefs. The 26yearold pledging his support and offering his services as a tow truck driver. Something his father doesnt believe. San Francisco Police are searching for four robbers, suspected of shooting someone inside a pawn shop in the mission district. Police in Sergeant Philip sanchez entered a not guilty plea during his appearance and his San Francisco warehouse yesterday. He is facing several felony charges including negligent discharge of a gun, vandalism and brandishing a gun. He has several restrictions following last weekends incident at the Market Street hotel. The court today ordered that mr. Sanchez stay away from the Four Seasons Hotel. 150 yards. He also ordered that mr. Sanchez turned over any firearms that he had as well to ensure that any behavior like this could not happen again. Prosecutors say sanchez fired a gun at least 10 times within his room at the hotel early sunday morning. No one was hit by the gunfire and police say he surrendered peacefully followed a 90 minute standoff. Sanchez is due in court next month. Violent clashes have erupted between protesters and police for the fourth day in bolivia. When i met her she was crying day and night but now she is a light. Reporter Menbere Aklilu or menbe saw her story on facebook. Mesi arrived in ethiopia two months ago. Her scars are visible in the pain goes beyond the beauty that most overlooked. Mesi used to see this face in the near but that changed last year when her exfianci threw acid on her. She said when she was in ethiopia everyone was afraid of her. Reporter the acid burned her face, chest and arms. She and menbe ares from the same village in ethiopia. Menbe said when she heard of the attack she had to help. First, sending money. Then flying 20 two hours to meet the woman shed only heard of online. But the two had a shared story when menbe, she also was a victim of Domestic Violence from her then husband. He burned me with the cigarette and then after that he gave me three days to pull my own teeth. Reporter menbe said she was lucky and able to get away. Thats why its important that she hopes this young woman get back on her feet, opening her home to a total stranger , paying it forward, arranging medical treatment and operations and helping to make mesi whole again. A source alerted the fbi in september about a facebook account under jamesons name that was liking and loving posts that were pro isis and support of the october terror attack in new york city. Over the next several months, jameson communicated on social media with that source and someone he thought was and is isis official but was an undercover fbi employee. Court documents say jameson asked the employee for ammunition, timers, remote detonators and an Assault Rifle and said he could operate a tow truck and later apply to operate one for the city of modesto. The fbi did what they had to do which was to put undercover agents in contact with them. Jameson sent the fbi employee maps and photos of pier 39 on monday. Court documents say jameson explained he also desire to use explosives and describe the plan in which explosives could funnel people into a location where jameson could inflict casualties. The Richmond Police officer accused of shooting a gun inside San Franciscos Four Seasons Hotel is free on bail as he awaits his next court appearance. Police in Sergeant Philip sanchez entered a not guilty plea during his appearance at a courthouse yesterday. He is facing several felony charges including negligent discharge of a gun, vandalism and brandishing a gun. The court today ordered that mr. Sanchez stay away from the Four Seasons Hotel, 150 yards. He also ordered that mr. Sanchez turned over any firearms he had as well to ensure that any behavior like this could not happen again. Prosecutors say sanchez fired a gun at least 10 times inside his room at the hotel early sunday morning. The hotel confirmed he was a guest. No one was hit by the gunfire. Police say he surrendered peacefully following a 90 minute standoff. Some violent crashes have arrested between protesters and police for the fourth day in bolivia. Demonstrators are in response to a new law that imposes tougher sanctions on doctors found guilty of causing physical harm to their patients and a doctors strike that has shut down local hospitals. Doctors could face up to nine years in prison as well as a suspension of their license. Protesters want the law repealed. In addition to the violence, doctors have begun a Hunger Strike as well. The scars are clearly visible and the pain goes beyond the beauty that most overlooked. Mesi used to see this face in the mirror but that changed last year when her exfianci threw acid on her. She said when she was in ethiopia everyone was afraid of her. Reporter the acid burned her face, chest and arms. She and menbe are from the same village in ethiopia. Menbe said when she heard of the attack, she had to help. First , sending money. Then flying 22 hours to meet the young woman she had only heard of online. But the two had a shared story. When menbe was pregnant, she was also a victim of domestic islands from her then husband. He burned me with a cigarette and then after that he gave me three days to pull my own teeth. Reporter menbe said she was lucky and was able to get away. Thats why its important she hopes this young woman get back at her feet. Opening her home to a total stranger, paying it forward, arranging medical treatment and operations and helping to make mesi whole again. Menbe, i forget what happened to me sometimes.
