You can see the road there is blocked off with police tape. Weve reached out to the police to find out what led up to the shooting and any other details they could share. We will update you as soon as we hear back from police. Also breaking at this hour, firefighters right now are on scene of 2 separate brush fires that are burning in antioch. You can see the smoke here from this pg e camera. Its been sped up, but you can tell the wind is a factor here. One fire is off slayton ranch road. Another is near marina plaza, which is currently about a half acre in size. The other one a bigger still burning at this hour or so. Its unclear if there is any containment on the fire. Its also unclear if there could be any connection between the 2 fires. But well certainly continue to keep you updated on air and online as we learn more. So if you do get fires and boy and some of those grassy areas, thats where these fires can really begin to run through. So. Out there right now, we are looking at those winds picking up. You can see in the antioch area right now were seeing some of those winds blowing to 25 miles an hour that delta breeze working its way right on through. And so thats a concern because that can get those and blowing through these a grassy field and push that fire along fairly quickly. So watching very closely as will see those Winds Continuing to ramp up here probably through the next couple of hours before the sun set and then begin to die down after that. Theres obvious a lot of amber frey, because, you know, a lot of our members, whether the same thing during the Great Recession where they had layoff notices and everything else. The owner of 2 longstanding restaurant at Fishermans Wharf is now suing San Francisco alleging the city failed to do its job of maintaining the wharf in the suit. The owner of fishermans grotto and tarentino is asking for financial reimbursement for improvements made to the 2 restaurants claiming nearly 2 Million Dollars was spent putting in floors, making kitchen upgrades and much more. The lawsuit says the port of San Francisco has not brought the area to code to protect against erosion or earthquakes. They also blame homelessness and crime for preventing restaurants from being successful. The City Attorneys Office released a statement in response to the suit saying, quote, over the last year herringbone the owner has attempted a number of maneuvers to get out of paying the 1. 7 Million Dollars. It owes the city in back. Rent. This appears to be yet another attempt. However, once we are served with the suit, we will review it and respond in court. She found these keys and just just driving around as if it was only able. Detective fegley says the woman was identified, arrested and charged with felony vehicle theft. A man has pleaded not guilty to firstdegree murder today in connection to the death of 29 yearold sarah tillman. Tillman was found dead in her home last may. Investigators say they found Text Messages with her alleged drug dealer. 56 yearold philip teen, according to the lawsuit. 2 months before her death, tillman had warned the suspect he had nearly killed her with the drugs. He had sold her. Then last may he salter drugs laced with fentanyl again and she died. Court records show tell men worked for a silicon valley. A Pharmaceutical Company after graduating from harvard and earning her masters at usc, the suspect does remain in custody with no bail. Hes set to return to court in september for a preliminary hearing. Meantime, university of San Francisco has published a first of its kind study about the fentanyl crisis in San Francisco. And the key takeaway is people arent injecting center. Now theyre smoking and theyre smoking at. And despite a yearlong crackdown on street drug dealers and users, the deaths hill. Has not significantly dropped. Here are some of the latest findings. So from january to april of this year, 258 people died from accidental overdoses in the city. Same time period last year. The number is a bit higher. 275 people. The researchers say more and more people are smoking fentanyl because of the difficulty injecting it and the fear of overdosing. And they say has become a social scene to smoke it. They observed people sharing equipment, drugs and info. They found that fentanyl was extremely cheap as chief is 10 bucks a gram. The study is the first to explore smoking. Fentanyl is a key contributor to overdosing. Well, this memorial day weekend could be your last chance to hit the slopes.
