As you can see there between the mayors security detail and a pedestrian in an email sent only to kron 4. San jose police say that the situation begin when the man started displaying erratic behavior toward the mayor and the staff and then grew hostile. They say a plainclothes officer assigned to the mayors security detail tried to de escalate the situation several times. But the suspect grew more agitated and eventually hit the officer. Several bystanders helped in detaining the suspect. He was eventually taken into custody. The officer was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The man is facing several charges now including felony battery on a police officer. And were told that san jose police, they do plan to hand the case over to the County District attorneys office, our camera crew, of course, as use either captured the entire incident. Tesla announcing a wave of layoffs after a new report showed a steep decline in sales kron fours grant lotus here studio with how. Just how many bay area employees are expected to be. Let go. Can. So tesla says theyre going to be making sweeping layoffs, affecting every sector of the corporation in the bay area. Thousands of workers in fremont and palo alto are expected to be laid off more than 400 of those are just from the freeman facility. Todays Earnings Report showed teslas sales dropped nearly 55 since last year. So its not surprising that tesla did some their sales have declined significantly in the last quarter. Its an area and a neighborhood where the mayor tells me there is a significant number of unhoused people there. And he says if they do not accept the citys repeated offers for shelter when this new Housing Project is built, they will be swept. Right now, its an empty lot. But soon a housing complex will stand with 150. Thats a small step to help bring the thousands of currently unhoused people in san jose. Get off the street. Yes, it is very difficult the people. Some people here are not very nice. So still unknown and the trash is not going to pick has been at this encampment between and monterey road for a year. Okay. Hes speaking outside. Scary. She says volunteers used to take trash out of their encampment. That stopped 3 months ago. She also says there are rumors that this camp will be swept. I was on the waiting list since. 2018. A plea agreement has been reached with naps, pleading guilty with the sentence of 19 years to life and guillory pleading guilty with a sentence of 7 years and 4 months.
