Its been a dry morning commute, at least. But look at what weve got sitting just to the west of the bay area after a weekend of heat and sunshine. Right back to fall. We go line of showers centered up just to the north and west of us. This is a cold front thats sliding through and along with it is also going to Cool Temperatures down. Weve seen some fairly heavy rainfall just to the north of the bay area. Lets zoom in on some spots that are actively seeing rain because most of the bay area has been dry up to this point, which was good for your monday morning commute for sure. Were getting some lighter showers right around point. Raise at the moment as well as up along the in Sonoma County lines. Look at this around bodega bay up to guerneville rainfalls really picking up now. So if you are traveling right through that direction, you are about to see some really slick conditions on roads just to the north of these areas. We been seeing pretty steady rainfall in northwestern Sonoma County as well as into Mendocino County already this morning, you kaja on up to will its along highway 101, is pretty soaked already. And now that energy is gradually shifting further and further southeastward monte rio guerneville as well as up to cloverdale. Youre really seeing it coming down. Pretty heavy now. What does this mean for the rest of the bay area . Well, were kind of getting the leftovers, the remnants of this cold front thats sliding through that energy is definitely more concentrated just to the north of the bay. So you can see theres a little less of the orange on the map. The further southward you had along this frontal boundary as this gradually slides or direction. That means the bay areas in store for some light to moderate showers this afternoon. Im anticipating areas like San Francisco only get a 10th of an inch of rainfall.
