Theyre each being held now on a Million Dollars bail. Both san jose daycare where 2 toddlers drowned was ordered to shut down immediately. State officials suspending the license of happy, happy day care. They say that 3 children fell into the daycares backyard pool on monday. 2 of them, both young girls one yearold girls died. Regulators are also considering whether to impose an 11,000 fine against the owners in connection with those drownings. Its a 34. We have an update now on a story that we have been following. A swimmer who disappeared turns the he is presumed dead. It was a shark attack off of point rays. Friends of the family identified him as 52 yearold felix, luis j this. He was a popular foil kite surfer and on october first, he was off of well cat beach with his friend saw a shark in the water and blood in the water as well. And he was nowhere to be found. And now Officials Say he is presumed dead and they are trying to recover the body. A former teacher is accused of assaulting a child at a san jose middle school. Matthew gonzalez was arrested earlier this week. The alleged assault happened at Herbert Hoover middle school where he had previously been. A teacher booked into the Santa Clara County jail. On the peninsula. 5 people, including a teenager been arrested now in connection with an attempted stabbing in san mateo. Police say the victim was waiting at a bus stop in front of the wells fargo out at the Hillsdale Shopping Center he says he was surrounded by a group on wednesday. 5 men who then started punching him. One of them pulled out a knife. You can see a picture that here, the victim ultimately was able to escape and then call police in. Here. You see when officers arrived, they were able to find the 5 people and detain them. Its a 36 in the east bay. Oakland, police say an act of vandalism on an lgbtq bar does not suggest a hate crime. But the owner begs to differ. Here is a look at what happened. The port barre on broadway in thomasville berkeley, way close to lake merritt. You can see somebody threw rocks, smashing the front window of the bar. Well, the police say theres no known threats or issues to suggest a hate crime. But the owner, sean sullivan, says that he thinks this was a targeted attack. Council member Rebecca Kaplan released a statement saying that while we dont know yet the motivations of the attack targeted violence against lgbtq people and places is rising meantime, sullivan has set up a gofundme to help raise money for the repairs and theyve gotten so far more 10,000. Up in the north bay, firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a 3 acre brush fire near fairfax.
