So for today, daytime hours, nothing to worry about. We do have showers centered up up in the pacific northwest, but thats where they remain during daytime hours today. So your friday, pretty good to go be getting outside, enjoying what is going to be the hot start to hardly strictly out in Golden Gate Park. All the other stuff going across the bay today, 50 60s for todays daytime highs. Alameda at for our current temperatures. Officers say they responded to the area of tom or sunset avenues on wednesday afternoon after receiving a call about a man handling a gun. They say they ordered him to drop the gun but instead e pointed it at one of the officers and then an officer shot him. That man was hospitalized with nonlifethreatening injuries and was later released hours later. He was identified cyrus santos. It was arrested for felony assault on a police officer. It was later determined that his fire on was actually a bb gun designed to look like a real semiautomatic handgun. The officer who shot him is now on administrative leave. The nearby grand middle School Campus put on lockdown during that incident. Shots 45 on officer. These are videos from previous rallies that weve seen from these Health Care Workers and Kaiser Permanente workers ultimately authorized to strike weeks ago, including workers not only in washington, colorado, oregon, but almost 60,000 right here in california and 20,000 of those workers are right here in the bay area. Workers biggest demands they want better pay and a solution to the Staffing Shortage that they see theyre facing. The last statement that we received from kaiser. Were putting it up on your screen reading, quote, the Coalition Unions are position to strike in october. However, for the last 26 years of our historic Labor Management partnership, we have reached agreements with the coalition every time with no strikes. They go on to say that its top priority is caring for its members and patients and that it does have a plan in place, should this strike actually occur and they want to continue to provide High Quality Health Care for those patients that they have. But they also say that they remain bargaining in good faith. Now, this battle gone significantly bad between the 2 at some point earlier this month over 20 Kaiser Permanente, workers were actually arrested down in hollywood for protesting outside of the hospital there.
