Yes, abbott, we should say that as schools are well kids back at least one thats dealing with a teacher shortage. So either teachers, this is a problem facing not just San Francisco Unified School District but School Districts across the country. Now, let me show you video of the students and the parents arriving. There was so happy. Were talking about 50,000 students coming back to school this morning for San Francisco Unified School District. A lot of them are new and they will see their teachers for the first time and returning students. Many of them wont be seeing their teachers again because a lot of them have left the profession. Now, i can tell you from 2019 to 2021 across the country about 233,000 teachers left the industry for many issues, including behavioral issues inside the classrooms, strict hours, not feeling supported the pandemic. And that is why School Districts across the country are scrambling to get their hands on teachers to get them inside the classroom. Abraham lincoln high school, a few miles from this location. They are already dealing with the problem and they sent out notices. So the parents that classes like spanish mask a math physics, english biology. They are having problems as well. We got a chance to talk to the superintendent. Heres what he had to say about trying to hire more teachers. You dont know exactly how many teachers you need until all the numbers to calibrate it. Right . So we know its its very small percentage of teachers. But seeing exactly shows up and then well be able place teachers where needed. And then well have an exact count of how many more. That i necessarily feel. So at this point he doesnt know when to a little bit down the road, just how many students and teachers. Well make up the full pot. So in the meantime, as far as Abraham Lincoln and im sure other schools as well, they will have administrator ys and substitute teachers inside the classrooms to meet the needs of the students. But he also says this is not a problem just for San Francisco, but a little bit. Something is unique to San Francisco, the pay and they have resources to try to get those teachers to entice them to come to San Francisco because lets face it this city a little bit costlier than other places that might also try to lure teachers to come to their school district. The group called save alameda for everyone officially filed their notice of intent after the Alameda County registrar of voters certified the signatures theyve collected so far. Millions of dollars, but the people behind it say theyre doing it for the safety of the people in Alameda County. And many people being and we day oakland, chinatown, chamber of commerce, president carl chan is leading the effort to recall Alameda County District Attorney pamela price. He says shes failing to get justice for those who need it. And crime is spiraling out of control. Some proponents of the campaign that ended the filing of the notice of intent, including lori moats. Her son blake was shot and killed during an attempted shoplifting incident in pleasanton back in april. She advocates. For the people that murder trial. Why isnt she out there advocating for us . The group called save alameda for everyone says da price has reduced sentencing for criminals and even refuse its charge. Violent felons with crimes. Brenda grisham says her son christopher jones, was killed back in 2010 at the age of 17. Came outside of the wrong time. Were going to church 2 games, decided to a rift in the gunfire. And im crystal ran back to the car to get my granddaughter and he was from got a call from the das office saying his case wouldnt be charged. But she says shes going to fight for other victims have been advocating for these families. And im not going to stop. And i told her that personally. So she nowhere stands on that. Somebody coming out the woodwork trying to stab chants as they need roughly 98,000 signatures to get the recall on the ballot will try to collect 140,000 to be safe. In that letter, they go on to say that if the mayor wants to get to the root cause of crime in the city, she needs to look in the mirror and bear some responsibility data from opd shows crime is up. 28 overall this year compared to the same time last year, Violent Crime is up 17 while slayings are down 8 . Mayor thao has not yet commented on the naacp is letter. Its 907. And in the south bay, Santa Clara County is moving forward a plan for bay ship, a basic income for people who were formerly incarcerated. And its expected to help Young Mothers and House High School seniors and incarcerated or justice involved clients offering to your monthly income of 1200 and the cost will ultimately 4 million dollars. 2 million will be coming from the American Rescue plan act and the other 2 million will be supplemented by the state in a Nonprofit Organization destination home. Officials say the idea stems from the county successful guaranteed basic Income Program they put together back in 2020 to help out former foster youth and is still in motion today. Take a listen to what they had to say yesterday as they voted on it. Proposal fall so successful bringing creation into society, but providing a financial safety net. Our goal is to reduce recidivism support, rehabilitation the from the valley with every individual, no community. This is an investment to help former justice involve crimes. Now, former foster youth are already getting help right now. Next spring, young moms are set to get help. And then next summer justice involved individuals will get help. Theres not going to be a city worker strike in san jose. They struck a potential deal with the city and as you know, was supposed to start on tuesday. But then it was held off by this lastminute agreement that should last. If its approved until the summer of 2025, the unions representing the workers say the tentative agreement includes a wage increase in the first year by 6 . And then 2 more years of pay increases after that, an increase from one to 8 weeks of family paid leave more competitive, bilingual pay and an expansion of retention and recruitment improvements. But san joses mayor matt mahan says he does not like this deal. He says the council buckled to politics and pressure from the union. He says in the weeks ahead the city manager is going to reveal what services may have to be cut because of the agreement. Union officials are government going bring the deal to their members for a vote in the coming days. Firefighters are now investigating a fire that started early this morning in a building that houses different businesses in santa rosa. It happened shortly before 12. 45 was on 4th street. Santa rosa fire says they found water coming from both floors of this 2 Story Building when they first arrive. Then they heard a fire alarm going off on the second floor and notice that the windows were stained with smoke. Firefighters say they found the fire burning in the restaurant on the second floor. Found water pouring from that restaurant on to the business directly below. But they didnt see the fire. Fire crews say the fire caused about 150,000 worth of damage. Now weve been out so unsettled lately because this low pressure area sitting to the west of us tends to be dragging up some of this moisture rich air from the western edge of the coast off of mexico and dragging it up into Southern California and year, especially were barely skirting the edge of some of that monsoonal activity in the bay area. Today is a whole lot calmer, but we are still going to be seeing some of that warm air and cutting off a lot of access to that cool ocean air. So today is the last day those really hot temperatures. Now tomorrow we are going to start to see temperatures sliding downwards a little bit more of that sea breeze kicking in closer to the bay shore is definitely going help or bayshore cities out. Still going to be hot inland. Just not as hot today. 60s 70s for San Francisco and right up and down the coastline. Well, looking at some 80s for most of the bayshore burlingame at 86 degrees, redwood city at 89 today while the south bay looking at temperatures mostly in the 90s, san jose in ch at 92 80s to 90s for the east bay with Livermore Pleasanton as well as conquered in danville, just shy of 100 degrees. Well, antioch in vacaville and the triple digits are only spots actually getting there. Although a lot of the rest of us are certainly close now, looking ahead tomorrow as temperatures will be little cooler inland as well as along the bay shore and will continue that gradual slide into the weekend. So i dont like reading a lot and august or september stocks were mixed target is jumping after having bad quarter because the margins are improving. But they talked about economic malaise. Well talk about that in a second. Mom. The feds going meet didnt want meet today. Were going give out the notes from the meeting a couple weeks ago in whats called the fed minutes. That comes out at 11. Thats something wall street will look at. But its kind of stale news at this point in time of note, mortgages are down. 26 yearoveryear as far as originations co because rates at some 0, 1, 6 , which probably means of were not issuing mortgages. Theres not a lot of people selling. If people arent selling prices are probably stay high because theres lot of buyers. But very few sellers. So thats the big stories of the day h m times. Yeah, i was just looking because you mentioned target stocks. Up right now a little bit. But yeah, youre talking a malaise. What . What are their numbers look like right now . What are the projections Going Forward . Yeah, this is a little complicated, but i think i could pull it off the lower their guidance. Thats malaise. That kind their margins are great, which is lovely, which means they have the right inventory for the right seasons in the past. Its been a problem. Sales were down 4. 9 . Even the prices of caught up with inflation. Thats the malaise 24. 8 billion dollars. Not shabby. Theres been backlash on pride which reduced foot traffic down by about almost 5 . Hard to believe. But thats whats when their problem still sticking around. Its not a lot of people Walking Around their stores. Of course, with high inflation, which the average family, its apps are sending power and the higher Interest Rates on credit cards at are spending power. So there people are staying away from Consumer Electronics in from home furnishings. Thats areas where party does really well. I own shares of target because all the bad news is out there. It has a nice dividend boring stock. But i as i see the economy get sparked with lower Interest Rates in 2024, i think its a good position. I dont think people should go out and buy it on the professional investor. But targets tell us a lot about the u. S. Economy. Its just far going into the into the air. And then lets also talk about you just mentioned credit cards a moment ago, visa mastercard. They seem to be the only Major Players in town been that way for a long time. But the i am i reading this right there, some lawmakers now theyre looking to try and break that up a little bit. Yeah, but they the Lawmakers Congress could do in fintech are all trying to stop visa mastercard which basically the monopoly board one of half the other and the other half. If you go into any sort of us its going to land on visa or mastercard network. Congress wants to open up networks merchans to allow them to use cheaper networks lowering the fees that merchants pay. Thats the merchant doesnt have to raise prices because visa and mastercard get one to 2 per cent on every transaction. Thats pretty amazing. Look at the numbers. Visa made 4. 2 billion in income in the last 90 days on 8. 1 billion in revenue. Thats almost 50 margins. Thats amazing. A mastercard to the same thing. 2. 8 billion in income on 6. 3 billion. Their margins arent as good bite. I own shares resets berry company. I own it because its half monopoly on the other half is mastercard. And i dont see that changing cash. Isa, just going down for the last 25 years. Its down to 18 of all transactions. Animals love the stocks are both expensive in the short term, but long term, they dont have a lot of competition. And that tends to do well in the game and not play. Then the game of investments. And i just dont see congress is having the appetite to really get any traction on change. Crypto is supposed to take a bow. Using crypto for transactions at this point in time and fintechs like paypal 3rd, a 5 year lows. Their stocks because they just cant get the traction either on their networks for now, it loos like hes got these monopolies are just a monopolist or plus to this case to a for. For a while to come, weve got a little time left the kind of circle back around. Theres a story i was interested in getting your take on. I find it fascinating. Apple has always had strong ties for manufacturing in china, the foxconn factory, all the iphone seem to come out of there. But it looks like as theres more more pushback against american tech in china, it looks like theyre starting to push their iphone 50 production over india. You see in that. The iphone 15 just started production in india and this is tied towards what happened during covid where factory shut down for long periods. Time in china, iphone 14 would have sold a lot more phones, but they just couldnt get the manufactured out of china. If you remember, but last time this time of year, iphone, 14 pro demand, it was a week for 16 weeks when it first came out because there just wasnt enough of them to be made and just not enough profits to be realized by apple, which is unfortunate. So, yeah, i think the Global Supply chain continues diversify a little bit away from china, but china will stay important for the longterm worthy of note. But indias also i were invest in one country, one for infantry, this point in time probably be in theyve got great universities, the kind of Strong Political system. Theyve got a good worker and a lot of the world wants to work with them. Think they could be the next manufacturing powerhouse of the world, but not even just manufacturing like theyre theyre tech their computer. The Fulton County sheriff in georgia says former President Trump will be booked into an atlanta jail when he surrenders. The former president and 18 codefendants have until august 25th to do so. They are all facing now racketeering and conspiracy charges. Trump has not publicly said when he will surrender. The sheriff says that trumps mug shot will be taken just like everyone else charged with a crime in Fulton County. The former president plans to hold a News Conference on monday to address this. His 4th criminal indictment since march. In San Jose City leaders were supposed to talk about whether they were going sever ties with pg and e in create their own utility company. But instead that discussion has been deferred to a later date. Mayor matt mahan has been vocal about his concerns and frustrations with pg and e the new utility would be called san jose power. Its 9. 31, story that is tragic out of San Francisco that were covering an suv struck a family in a crosswalk. They were crossing the street near saint francis, their oracle park in San Francisco last night. And the little girl was his stroller was killed. Yeah, the mama never pushing their daughter in that stroller across the crosswalk. Kron 4 Sarah Stinson has more on exactly what happened. Were here at the corner of 4th and king streets where a driver struck and killed a 4 yearold girl crime scene. Techs are on scene trying to wrap up this area because its been closed for hours now. We know a driver struck this 4 yearold girl was in a stroller at the time. Her father was pushing her in the crosswalk. Here and the mother was alongside them. Now the stroller was pinned between a pull and the suv. Mercedes, the girl and dad were rushed to the hospital after they were able to get the girl out from between that poll and the suv were told the father has lifethreatening injuries. Were still waiting on an update on his condition. Police say the mom was not injured this crash. Happened one block from oracle park at 5. 15, an hour and a half before the game started. Crowds are really starting to grow here as they do right by the caltrain station. Muni Police Crime Scene techs have been gathering evidence. They really concentrated a lot of their efforts on the right side of the suv. Theres a lot of Traffic Cameras in this intersection. So im sure investigators are going to be coming through that video gathering the evidence they were not able to confirm what led up to the crash, but they did say the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating. They also said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be involved at this time. Patrols were out here. Muni was quickly on scene since the game cause a lot of crowds. They commonly stay in this area and guide pedestrians through this busy intersection. We know it was chaotic situation where the vehicle may have been and with was unable to move for whatever reason. Everyone on scene, including our parking control officers did everything that they could to assist in that chaotic moment. Were still waiting to find out the condition of the father and find out from police about their investigation to see what led up to this crash. The time we have some breaking news, word of Major Police Activity happening right now in san jose kron fours Michael Thomas just got to the scene and tells us whats going on. Michael. Yeah, hi, everyone. You know, right now were at oconnor park in san jose. Take a look at were talking about at least 2 dozen Police Vehicles along with what appears to be a swat team when it comes to the officials that are out here on the scene, i would say at least anywhere from 30 to 40 tons of lights, neighbors around here. We dont know exactly what has gone on yet. And just to give you a location of where were at, this is near meridian and saddle rack street. Its near a safe way. Thats right. Off of west san carlos street. Again, we dont know exactly what happens. Just a heavy police presence. Neighbors are all out here. Were trying to get more information from them. We started to get here, maybe about 10, 15 minutes ago. This is also near 2. 80, during which time we saw at least 4, 5, cruisers speed past us with their lights on to get to this destination. You can hear the sirens in the background as of right now surrounding oconnor park, meridian street is completely closed off. Weve got officers on all ends of you know, on race street, saddle rack street and west san carlos. Those are the 4 streets that surround this area. This park specifically is in the middle of an apartment complex. You can see neighbors are out here. And like i said, we dont know details of exactly whats going on, but it does appear that swat team is out here. We see San Jose Police out here and everybody is in all of their gear. Theyve also got the canine unit here. So were working to get more details. But thats what the scene is looking like right you can see this officer here heading over to that situation. Now. They all appear to be over closer towards the west carlo, race street area of this complex in oconnor park. Thatsta very latest that we have here in san jose darya. James, well send it back to you. Michael, ask you real quick before we let you go, we see the police response. We see the swat teams, as you said. Have you noticed any . Ambulance personnel and a firefighter standing by to to render aid. Should it be necessary . Do we know if anybody is hurt . I we do not have any of that information confirmed as of yet when it comes to ambulance. We didnt see any on this end. But again, keep in mind that there are cops surrounding this entire block. So they could be on the opposite ends of where i am and just on this site alone where im at, like i said, i see multiple police cruisers, but i dont see any ambulances of here yet. But a fish are excuse me. But people here, neighbors here tell me that they did at some point. See ambulance leave about within the hour or so. But that has not been confirmed by. Something else that im curious about is. The danger. Is there any danger to the Community Say theres an apartment complex in there and youre standing fairly close. And so whats going on with that . Does it . And they dont seem to be in a hurry that the ones were looking at here. That as of right now, were not hearing you can see officer here. Look at. He just rolled in at very heavy speed. Hes running over towards that situation. Theyre our neighbor standing where im at. But keep in mind, were probably i would say at least maybe 30500 yards or so from where they are located on there and where theyre at. I dont know if their neighbor standing out there right now. So im working to ask them if there is a threat to the community or at least 2 this specific apartment complex. But i havent been able to walk over and get in touch with them and wait. The neighbors that youre standing with or near with a told to get out of their apartments or no. They know the neighbors that i that im standing near on this side of the apartment. If we can pan the camera that way, theyre just more. People that are coming up because they saw all of these cop cars. You know, enter into this park which normally doesnt have any type of, you know, vehicles on the grass. So thats kind of what were looking at. And unfortunately, if we can pan the camera this way, henry back over here i dont know if well be able to get a shot because this playground is in the way. There we go. But on the other side of that is where we see that what appears to be a swat the other side of that playground certainly looks like theyre staging for something but no indication yet what direction they might correct. Exactly. There is a lot of staging going on, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. So were working to get those details. You can see people are running. These officers are running back and forth. From that location down that way over to where we are now. Im trying to talk with neighbors to see if they back yes, of course i was wondering about so nobodys told you so they are evacuating us at point. You know, they told you to move at that. Yeah, they are. Theyre not telling you why. And they will. And youve obviously the cops are passing you and theyre not there tonight. Yes. Correct. Yeah. San mateo county sheriffs deputies are looking for a man whos accused of sexually assaulting a woman while she was out on a walk. Yes, this happened sunday evening on the spur trail in millbrae. Its pretty popular destination for people who live in the area. Investigators say a woman was walking alone when she was approached from behind and groped by a man who then rode off on what was described as a Black Mountain bike. Investigators say after the assault, a man matching the description of the person who committed the assault was seen in the area, in fact, was captured video and images. If you think, you know who this person was, youre asked to contact the San Mateo County sheriffs office. Well, the man accused of killing cashapp founder bob lee has pleaded not guilty. Many is accused of stabbing and killing the tech mogul back in april in San Franciscos Rincon Valley neighborhood, rincon neighborhood prior to stabbing. Police say lee had been hanging out many sister and that caused an argument between the 2 men. It was back in june many pleaded not guilty to the charges with his former lawyer. After that attorney left the case due to a conflict of many that hired the new legal team thats currently representing him. A trial date hasnt been set. For those who dont have a place to live in the south the Santa Clara County and Salvation Army are teaming up to add more shelter beds. We have kron 4 Justin Campbell with a look at what theyre doing. Santa clara county board of supervisors announced they will partner with the Salvation Army. Define more shelter for people in need. The ultimate goal is for the Salvation Army to take their 2. 3 acre property in downtown san jose and convert that into affordable housing. The Salvation Army with the help of Santa Clara County is planning on transforming there. And will house Emergency Shelter in downtown san jose from 70 to 112 bands on tuesday. The county board of supervisors directed the county administration to come up with Funding Options this fall to help further support the Salvation Armys mission. Whats different here is that. The folks who participate in this interim housing. Well have an opportunity to get into a pipeline for permanent housing supervisor. Cindy chavez says in order for interim housing to work. There must be up at the permanent housing. And the goal is to permanently house men and women on the Salvation Armys 2. 3 acre campus in downtown san jose. So critical because the Salvation Army has a great track record of keeping people house once they move through their interim projects. A programming. And so were confident that partnering with them is going to allow us to pipeline to getting people who are high need into permanent housing correction is expected to take roughly 10 on so that extra 40 plus bed space will be available early 2024. Take a look. What theyre telling me right now is that it is an officerinvolved incident. Theyre using the word incident. We dont know exactly what happened. This is at oconnor park, which is right in between meridian avenue and ray street. And were actually now just hearing a helicopter right above this area. Neighbors tell us that they did evacuate part of this complex. So to give us some, i guess visuals of this, you can see this park that youre looking at is in between apartment apartment complex. And right now it looks like the helicopter from Police Officials is up in the air above us circling around neighbors are out here. This part of the complex has not been evacuated, but they tell us that the other end has been on the opposite side of this park. There is a safe way that its right off of west san carlos street. We have not gotten any word from officials of exactly what happened or exactly when it happened. Neighbors tell us that all of these Police Officials started to arrive around 8. 20, or so. So within the last hour, and you can see i mean, theres just dozens. And when it comes to the streets are blocked off meridian avenue, which is just one of the street on the side. If youre is completely blocked off and then theres Police Officials at all 4 corners of so we do know that it was an officerinvolved incident as to what the back story of what happened. We do not know when it comes to medical emergency. We have not seen any here as of right now, but keep in my neighbor say that theyve been out here since about 8. 20, or so. We got here around 9. 15, so emergency could have already coming on in between that point. Were hoping to chat with officials at some point right now that this is what the scene is looking like. They evacuated part of the complex right . So the quick, but we heard a helicopter. But so it seems like theres 2 things, right . You can we show well, you would think you can see. Yeah. And and, you know, when somebody when a suspect on the loose looking for somebody put up a chopper. Youre above an area and you let everybody know. And im just wondering if you have any indication that lillians to either one of those chu, an active manhunt, interest. I i would say from the visuals here. You know, we do see what appears to be swat team. There are a lot of people Walking Around with their guns drawn in gear. So i say that it feels like a standoff, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet. But i mean, these cruisers are, you know, going significantly fast in and out of this parking. Keep in mind, theres theres no road pavement for vehicles in this area and not only that every cruiser that comes up. These officials not only have their guns drawn out there in their full on swat uniform. So there is obviously some type of situation that is happening on that. And again, this is the closest we can get and we dont even really know exactly whats on the other end of this because its such a big situation thats kind of roped off in that sense because on the opposite end of us is a main street and right there is a safe way and we cant get to that area to see what is on that side. But the helicopters still continuously going in circles. And i would say i dont know what the population of San Jose Police department is, but its got to be at least half of their department here right now and then also show all they told us officerinvolved incident and im looking around and james got the map up on looking a school nearby because that typically. When theres a danger to the community immediately say like a school nearby these to lockdown. We havent heard anything about that. So we just its a its a curious about standoff versus are they looking for somebody that they know where they and half of the complex looking like actually move . It looks like you cant see from where youre at, but it looks like what appears to be swat team. Theyve got their shields and everything and theyre all walking this way. I dont know if henry, if if you have a visual from their. Yeah. Lets take a least 12 of them are making their way walking. Take a take a look. See. Henry, can you see though that great . Again, it its a its intense and that not only that theyve got people on this end, but got a lot more on the opposite end with the helicopters circling and from my understanding what neighbors tell me that area where youre looking at right now is been completely evacuated from neighbors. And crews are still arriving right now and theyve been arriving. Ive been here for 25 minutes. Ive been seeing more arriving throughout this entire time. And then these guys all went up the stairs. The money went down the stairs. I mean, it almost seems like they are. Squeezing the area like theyre circling the area and they have the seems like theres theyre circling go ahead. And within the last within the last 15 minutes when i went last live, you know, multiple canine units also showed up. So i would indicate that is they are searching for somebody because the canine units are all here and theyre out there on the other well, i mean, just by looking at the map across from you looks to you businesses and singlefamily homes as opposed to the apartment complex that surrounds the actual. Part of counterparts so there would be plenty of places to hide if for whatever reason, the person they were looking for randolph that direction its not surprising you would police begin correct do that sort of grid search where they start right and down alleyways looking for potentially somebody. Its fascinating because the park youre in all those police cars are not on a through street, ok, we know this kind of just park on the order to and i dont know if this is news to you. We just got word in the newsroom. An officer has been shot so that when they said it was a Police Involved in incident. And we do know that an officer has been shot in san jose. All we know yes. And and now that that and since that has been confirmed before i went live, a neighbor had mentioned that and i said i needed to confirm it with police. So that verifies. With what neighbors were telling me that they did hear gunshots. So hopefully i can chat with some people here to hear and see exactly. But they did tell me that everybody arrived here around 8, 15, 8. 17, or so. Thats what neighbors tell me. So now that we do know that an officer has been shot, it would explain why so many agencies are here on u. S. As to is the person behind the gun. We do not know. And also if there had been captured or not, it doesnt appear so from that from the looks of michael, ill tell you that weve just seen a series of tweets now issued by San Jose Police department. All while we have you with me, im just going to read you some of these tweets and that might help fill in some of the information about 5 minutes ago, san jose pd tweeted that officers are currently in the area where you are there to connor park for a report of a family disturbance. Upon arrival, officers contacted residents at the door and immediately began taking gunfire resulting in an officerinvolved shooting. We can confirm that an officer was shot by the suspect and has been transported to a local hospital media staging locations in the talk more about where the media should position themselves so that they remain safe while theyre covering the story and then the police go on to say that theyll provide more updates as they become available. So. And they say this is an active scene. Please avoid the area. So again, reading the what they say here is it seems that this could still be a family disturbance in the suspect is inside right thing. He shot from inside and there was so that implies that the suspect is not yet in custody and still being an active scene. Michael. Yeah, no. And that makes sense. I do have one gentleman that i spoke with who tells me that im going to call him over in this way because he tells me it all started around 8. 17, or so. And hes walking over towards me. So give me just just a second or so before we can interview him. Yes, sir. What was your name . When i got here . You told me that everett, ok, and you live in this complex, correct . Can you talk about a little bit what happened . We just got confirmation from police that this was an officerinvolved shooting. What happened on your and or would okay . My my neighbor, he said that. Cops came to the door this morning and they said jose, come out. And at that point he shot a female officer. And im not sure how bad she was injured. And ive asked them shes going to be ok and they said they dont know. Once once the shooting happened, we werent. We had just left and and evacuated your side of the complex at all. Im not sure they wont let me near, but i just got a phone call from sjpd and they asked if anybody was in my unit because the guy lives next door to me, basically the guy could get it and you know anything about the unit that theyre searching at all or that they may be a in front i just know that its a 2 bedroom unit thats faces the driveway and the couple was pretty quiet. I think the guy lived there. But ive also heard that he has a hostage and i dont know if that we have michael you know that yet . Weve only confirm miers been doesnt does she know if one this guy who lives there is still in there . Did they take him out . Is that thats what hes saying. He he do. You have before hear youre saying that, you you think that the the person who may have been doing the shooting is still inside the apartment, believe so. Thats a my neighbor said that he saw the guy looking out the window and he saw my neighbor and then he closed the blinds. So it looks like hes still in the and so youve been evacuated from your apartment completely because youre so i had already self evacuated this morning to take my son to school. But when you got back, you were able to get back right . Never been able to get back in well, thats what were hearing from neighbors here. Thank you so much for they an officer just called me and verified who i was got me to assure him that nobodys in my unit. Are they entering your unit . I hope and he and his unit is over this way. Were going to pan the camera. So its closer towards a safe way off of the san carlos street where so you make an error hangover wondering since he knows the neighbor from his understanding. Yeah. Go ahead. He knows the neighbor who lives there. A wife a kid will slip. Hes hes saying hes saying that theres 2 people that live in that unit from what he knows of it. Its a man and a woman from what he is familiar with. But he does not exactly know, but from his memory, he does believe that it is a man and woman police have called him to tell him that, you know, asking if anybodys in his apartment at all. And you said that when you got here around, he got here around 8, 15, 8. 17, or so. And how many units would you say . Were here at that time. We we left at 8. 15. The incident must have occurred at 8. 16, or 8. 17 because it was right after we left. And then at that point, we saw 2 cruisers come to the intersection with lights on. So they were already police in route. So i believe it already happened at that point. Keep in mind, you know, when we talk about the amount of cruisers that were here, i started to get on, you the way here probably around 9 oclock. And there were multiple Police Agencies with their have sirens on heading over to this exact seen and you can see. Right here, people are still showing up. Officials are still gathering in that helicopter is still circling. It appears that theres now starting to put up tape to block people off. So we may have to move at some point. But i mean, you know, and sir, how long have you lived here . 21 years and have you ever had any incidents like this before . Nothing like this. Pretty from from what he tells me. Its a pretty quiet and did you or your neighbors at all . Did you hear any shots fired . One of my neighbors did see it happen. Well, that only one fired for it from the door.
