Thats not negative, but he was thought to be the future ceo of the company that i find that actually kind of surprising zach or corn. I i listen to him on the Conference Calls for their earnings calls and that i didnt realize that was happening until. I saw youre going to talk about that today. Now it so i guess the stock kind of react to that news in the same way. Wall street kind of doesnt like the demon on now. And we deal with companies losing billions. But we dont know who the new cfp is going to be or what type of his evening, aggressive or conservative kind of shoot. First ask questions later. Of disney reports on wednesday they had awful 2 and cpi, inflation for the consumer thursday, nasdaqs up almost 34 for the year. So it had a great year. P 517 . Gallup, what do you anticipate when disney reports i think the company slowly start to turn around. But the you how we do have some questions like why are their parks its not that im a lot of americans are taking their kids to europe this summer instead of to disney. So thatll be a turnaround, but also their movies just flat out staying can last. A couple of iterations. Im getting poor reviews and give poor attendants so well asking a question of whether or not the ceo plans to keep abc. So theres lot of trauma on wednesday for sure. In the afternoon of know, you know, isnt become the weight loss appreciate my brotherinlaw season hes a big x uci swimmer up. German guy and he increse point us looks like you starving, but this is changing the medical Industry Companies that do help replacements companies that use tents for your heart and theyre seeing their stocks go lower because people are losing weight on things like medtronic and stryker and zimmer on conditions that they may have to get fixed due to all that extra weight. Its pretty interesting going on there. The ripple effects, the domino effects that happen out of Something Like that. All right. We did a story early this morning about how Rising Interest Rates are making homes a little more expensive. And i know you wanted to talk a little bit about that and its impacts to in this second story, which is in year loser column. I just want the kron bjoergen know that were all spending more over the last basically 18 months as the fed has raised interest rates. Very boring topic. But the reality is it hits us to the tune of about 900 more on average. And bay areas could be higher than that because their homes are higher cost average. But rates have gone up over 15, 16 months from basically 0 up to 5 and a quarter percent. Then theres some mark a point get a loan or a credit card. Get the idea. But home loans are up about 782 a month for the average 416 home. Thats up with a 6. 9 interest rate. So thats a lot of money, james, for the average americans making 55,000 new cart, a8,808, theyre seen payments up. 56 bucks per month. Used cars are seen payments 30 for dollar used car. And again, these numbers feel small. Me. I feel like a new car. 48,808. That doesnt seem right in the bay area where foreigners, 60,000, our home credit cards, the average american 5733 in credit card debt. Thats extra 20 bucks a month. So it does really start to hit the bottom line of a household with the spending 900 more per month about 55,000 a year in salary. To see why that was in loser column this morning. Lets end on a on an up note. Something on the winning side of interesting. Yesterday talking about life. And so that could be another hot day tomorrow. And she said, you know what . Lets go see i wanted to see barbie. Can we go see . Barton like sure one. Seen it yet. Its making gobs of money. A lot of people like so thats what were going to do today. We have won 10 showing. And youll be able to beat the and this is where the weatherman meets the businessman in 1920, basically the Summer Movies were a disaster because the were too hot and then 1925, theater in times square, put in an air conditioner. They would leave the door open so the cool air would blow out onto the street as people would walk by. They go, oh, lets go see a movie. It feels cool in there. So barbie passes a billion dollars. Its the 50th movie ever in the u. S. To hit a billion but la phoenix, tucson, theyre seeing 100 degree days. And if you see a barbenheimer double feature, james, he could be in a c for 5 to 6 hours. Which sounds pretty good to and the movie industry is doing better than it was last year at this time up by over a billion dollars in the Box Office Records the box office revenue. So the heat, james can keep bringing it la is kind of love because its putting people in the movie theaters of those 2 movies, certainly hitting theaters just the right time with temperatures the way they are. So 10 days under their belt, we got to see a lot of quarterback brock purdy, which we werent sure we were going to see during the summer because he was recovering from that elbow surgery. But boy, he sure did come out strong, get better better every day. Fact reporters asked him about that. How his progress is and where his mind is right now. I just look at it as a process. You know, the first day you come in, youre not going to be all pro and you know, killing it right off the getgo. Its like a process of formations operation getting on track with guys, the receivers being on time rhythm. And so from there, you progress and so at camp right now. For me. Its like, we have a good day. Great, but i have to continue to, you know, try to stress myself and get get to another level. Its a bad day and you wish you would have been better. Okay, good. But you know, again, you got to continue to try to get to the next level the next day. And so its a long process. Hes hes cool. As a cucumber, of course, questions have been answered. He is clearly the qb one is getting all the first team reps. As for qb to whos going to be got trey lance and donald. Theyre battling it out right now for that. Well see what decision that he makes. Okay. Be hard to play football today. And all those pads and all runner out. Yeah, hes going to another one morning. Were at good morning, john. Yeah, it will make you much better practice whether after today for sure. A good day to day to maybe head out to the coastline. Its beautiful out there at the Golden Gate Bridge this morning, but love and just taking a look at the bridge without any of that fog through it. Even on these clear days, sometimes you have that little string of fog, but none of it this morning. We havent had much access to that ocean. Cool there. This past weekend, which is why its been so Crystal Clear from the coast inland, maybe a little too sunny for areas inland where that he been scorching hot, High Pressure still in place for today, but it really starts to move eastward gradually through the week. And this allows a dive of cooler air across the west coast really changing up the pattern and cooling us off across the region. In addition to that, were going to get that sea breeze kicking back into gear. So today were not really looking at much of it. Thats why were already seeing temperatures climbing so much inland. But late this afternoon, youll start to see fog returning to the coastline and that marine layer pushes its way inland through the evening tonight, meeting tomorrow morning. Were starting the day with a lot of low grade, even some mist drizzle and fog for your tuesday morning. So a whole lot different of a look and the field to start the day tomorrow. 60s and 70s for sf today. 60s at the coast. Better get out there early because that fog returns this afternoon at the coast. Well, a tease for a whole lot of the bayshore saying palo alto, 87, san jose at 91 today. 90s as well for the inland east bay close to triple digits in livermore, san ramon in concord. Well, oakland up to richmond in the 70s 100 degrees for antioch, oakley and brentwood, while vacaville and pittsburgh close in the upper 90s, low 90s from sandra fell the santa rosa. A look ahead shows temperatures leveling out right at seasonal averages from tuesday through saturday. So really the rest of the week after today, we wont see 90s again until sunday of next week rain. All right, john, thank you for that. Will track in one problem spot down in the south bay. Northbound 101, south of yerba buena road in san jose. Pretty much the only area that were seeing major issues the rest dont want to want to 82 pretty smooth sailing. The bay bridge right now about 11 minutes maze to that fremont street exit san mateo bridge at 13. Residents in davis county were invited to come out and test drive a bus. Its demanding yes, but its very, very rewarding. The Chicago PublicSchool System has only half the bus drivers. It needs the district prioritizing rights for homeless students. And those with special needs forcing many other children to walk to class. The Driver Shortage exploded during the pandemic. Many drivers choosing to retire or quit because of low pay or the dangers associated with shuttling young kids unsupervised, leaving transportation officials struggling to hire talent, now paid training and more money are just some of the incentives being offered to attract new drivers.
