Yes, so weve got a real tight race between the 2 candidates, both of them of course already addressed their supporters. Over the past day and a half is theyre both still anxiously awaiting the final count, the Trump Campaign has filed lawsuits in michigan and pennsylvania they want a recount already in wisconsin. Even as the votes around the nation 4 key states are still coming in thats right. So lets give you the latest on where we see these like fans. As of 7 oclock this morning if youre just waking up President Joe Biden 264 points. President trump 214 here are the states that are still at play. We have nevada the race is tightening joe biden in the lead by about 8,000 votes were looking for another update this morning from the secretary of state fact we have a live shot with a chip yost coming up in about 10 minutes so stay tuned for the latest there arizona also tightening. Bidens lead went from about 80,000 earlier to now about 68,000 pennsylvania, thats a big state that were tracking for you this morning, the race also tightening theres a matter of fact in the hour or so weve heard that the trump lead which was about a 164,000 now has dropped well about 20,000 or so as more votes keep coming in weve got another update from the secretary of state coming in at about 8 oclock this morning. We also understand the governor of that state well be addressing the media at 9 oclock were going to try to bring that to you live as that comes in and then also georgia thats been fascinating to follow because we have the president ahead by about 18,000 about 99 of the precincts have reported so far but in the final analysis, it looks like that lead could shrink even more we have heavily democratic areas that are still reporting in and around atlanta. And as those results come in it looks like joe biden is continuing to eat away at the president s lead, which means by the final hours says theres actually a pretty decent chance that georgia could go blue which is something that the Trump Campaign never invision they didnt see that as a possibility just one week ago and here we are you know todays past the election day and the votes are telling us a different story, yeah and then there are the legal challenges that will further complicate things the Trump Campaign filing lawsuits. And pennsylvania, georgia and michigan claiming that their observers havent been given up access to areas where the ballots are being counted. Jim sutton isnt elections lawyer in San Francisco and he says the Trump Campaign is trying to find something that will stick in court. But with no claims of widespread voter fraud Voter Suppression or concerns brought up before tuesday night. Sutton thinks its going to be hard. Has turned. Hes doing right now is trying to find some basis to get in court and said that if he finds pena that theyre all the signatures that on the house about the registration cards dont match and theyre all being thrown out. Yes, some hawk. Yeah can get court. Sutton says the president s move could be part of a strategy to contest the results of the election one certified. The Trump Campaign is also as i mentioned requesting a recount in wisconsin. Hes currently leading but that lead is of course shrinking just a little bit weve been tracking that this morning we are expecting another update from the secretary of state around 9 or 10 oclock this morning and we just heard from chip yost our reporter out there that the Trump Campaign is also expected to hold some sort of a press conference at 8. 30 in advance of that announcement of the latest poll numbers. The rumor is the speculation is it could be another lawsuit that the president connected to file well have to wait and see it would be out of character because hes already filed a lawsuit in pennsylvania in michigan and in georgia as well. Yes, so weve got the lawsuit yet and weve got the numbers is all adding to the uncertainty so even when any of these are decided theyre still going to be more uncertainty to commit absolutely lets take pennsylvania for instance as we zoom in that state right now the president does enjoy a lead. But that lead is also shrinking in fact a drop by about another 22,000. Earlier this morning, its now at a 142,000 with more than 700,000 votes still left to be counted. We are expecting this morning. The secretary of state there to update us again at 8 oclock so keep it to kron 4 for that we also got word that at 9. 15 the governor of pennsylvania is also expected to address the media maybe its in response to the lawsuits that the president has filed maybe update on the election. Well have to wait and see are a lot of things that are going to be or the air as we speak. Plus then you got factor in recounts when were this close the popular vote as millions, a par, but the actual vote could be determined by thousands which would mean recounts it in least a couple of state thats right wisconsin being one of them where the vote total. A vote spread is within one percentage point and that makes it available for a recount should either of the candidates ask for one and the president has already indicated he wants a recount in wisconsin and hes also turned his sights to on the state of georgia because georgia. Defying conventional wisdom for the republicans has a chance of turning blue now in favor of joe biden because the president s lead is only about 18,000. We heard from the secretary of state within the last hour that there are still 60,000 outstanding votes that still have to be tabulated those votes are coming in from the heavily democratic area around atlanta, proper and the surrounding suburbs if those votes continue to come in at the margins. Theyre coming in for joe biden well the math says that he could very well turn that that state blue we are looking for a press conference in fact any moment now the secretary of state is expected to maybe we can go to georgia right now, heres the live pictures as the feed has come all right there my ready yet yeah and again the president has also filed legal action here to try and stop the count before ryans blue if that is in fact the way its going to play out as the final votes now are being i mean its interesting hes waged this battle on many fronts in some cases saying stop the freeze it where it is in other cases saying keep counting keep count. Yeah example of that would be both arizona and nevada because as these final counts come course the lead for as weve been seeing the lead for joe biden has begun to shrink a bit so yes, the president. Is all in favor of counting every single vote. In those 2 states because hes hoping those will turn red for him but hes against it in places like pennsylvania and in south carol georgia where his lead is shrinking as those votes are being counted to see sort of that dichotomy the mixed messaging there does he want a full count of the votes right does he not it could hit the pens on which state youre tall and i think the Biden Campaign is across the board though said keep counting keep cotton. No matter what whether its jim Trump Country or by country they just want to count and again there is a path to victory for both candidates still it is diminishing a bit but its still there as we mentioned joe biden only needs. Nevada and he wins or he could get pennsylvania or georgia and he went he only needs one state hes only 6 votes shy. The president however will need pennsylvania. Hell need. North Carolina Hill need georgia and hell need one of these 2. Whether it be arizona or nevada, which is why hes desperate to keep the count going in those 2 states. Hes hoping that he can run the table and claim one of those and that would give him the 2. 70 he needs to win okay. Well a lot could happen as we continue this morning 7. 36 just talk about some live. Locations that will see things happen well bring them im in the south the city of san jose is going to start welcoming students back into classrooms, starting january 5th. It used to be a hot spots and clear though now the county is seeing a decline in cases, currently in the states orange here indicating a moderate spread of the virus that allow schools to reopen for in Person Instruction with restrictions, san jose the Vice President there is assuring preparations are in place to keep the students and teachers safe. There are counties in the state that have a parttime employee be the director of their elections and it takes time and effort to do these things and we have. Counties have over a 100,000 registered voters in all states time to process those thinks so as we move forward another couple is going to put into context for you as people have asked why has a number not move more quickly. Well as you all know law calls for all absentee ballots to be accepted by 07 00pm on election day. Obviously on election day itself. Election officials are very very busy actually running the election day voting. So norman will do that to come back in the evening and into the next day and except those ballots by accepting have to get the signature mash and although the process to confirm the validity of epas and in our case in georgia, especially when it come in right before or on election day itself. We have to get notifications out to those people that they have 3 days to come in im sure there that all takes time it all takes effort. Theres only so many people who are involved in this process and the 109 counties in the states. Questions about my numbers and move around her 25,050 1060 the reality is its about 60,000 folks that are out right now and were working with the counties to make sure that they have properly put their stuff into their system and a as like many of you all during this election cycle. Next email and telephone calls to our liaison and the Elections Office to make sure they have uploaded everything and with that we just had new tranche of votes come in from Sumter County which lower the overall i give you what we have with every copy of the world, best numbers are right now for the states knowing that theres going to be a handful of those ballots and small counties here in there that will aggregated into the system over time but these are big tranche is that they could affect the outcomes overall. And some of you might start seeing some of these already working to get this done today as possible. And were working with the countys who might be having questions about how to do this properly because the main thing we want to fastest rate and we appreciate fast or appreciate accuracy. Accuracy is going to be the bedrock upon which people will believe the outcomes of these election either on the winning side of the losing side. So accuracy is vital as the key to all of our processes make sure we told everybody in this room in this state and around the country. This is the first time georgias use paper ballots in 20 years. We told people do not they can expect some results of election and weve got lot of them out there. In fact we got down to few 1000 yesterday were down to about 60,000 today. Forsyth 4,713. Fulton county 11,200. 7300. 3,641. A lawrence county. Putnam county 1552. Taylor county 456 for a total right now fox really just over 60,000 bucks the anticipation is we will continue to go through the process throughout the day into the evening if necessary, another large counties in the state the state overnight. Fulton county being one of those to process these and theyve not their numbers down to 11,200. We anticipate being getting through this process today, one of the reasons that our friends in Chatham County take bit longer as they have a unique system for their Voter Registration is separate from their Elections Division and the handle different sides of the absentee ballots and the reporting process thats one of the things that help them up i think were through that process today and i anticipate getting the majority the 17,000 today as well.
