Around for a little while longer lets check in with john and get more about that. Yeah guys winds definitely still present for a large part of the bay area while some of us have calmed down so its a mixed bag this morning as opposed to yesterdays generally windy conditions all across the region. We have seen some improvements and well continue to see those in the days to come so that your good news for sure you look outside from center tower shows you just how clear those skies are a brilliant sunrise whether youre at the coast or further inland as marine layer, not really a factor this morning, its dry and it is breezy for many areas. The combination of those 2 factors resulting in the heightened fire danger for especially the north bay and then upper elevations in the east bay, our breezy a spots right now being Vacaville Atlas peak calistoga and sonoma danville in petaluma also notably on the breezy side. Later this morning still windy for these same areas while still calm for the other areas. Noontime today we will see some breezy conditions for areas like oakland, but not enough to really be sparking up too much fire danger right along the bay towards 05 00pm generally all of us coming down and thats one of the reasons red flag warnings that do remain are set to expire today at 05 00pm all of Solano County most of napa county and then upper elevations of the east bay and then marin and sonoma counties all still affected by this heightened fire danger with red flag warning still remaining in these spots, a combination of those stronger winds and the dry conditions we still do have. Temperatures are in the 50s and 60s currently alameda in oakland, a nice calm and comfortable morning at 63 degrees. Step outside and enjoy in these areas while napa nevado and santa rosa bit on the cooler side only in the 40s and pretty windy up towards saint holy know where youre starting the morning at 66 degrees. So a wide variety of weather to start the morning off and it looks like weve also got a wide variety of traffic conditions, some of us better than others. I know we have an issue over on 6. 80 right now robin we do indeed on a fatal accident unfortunately involving a motorcyclist really tying up traffic. We have 2 lanes of traffic closed here on northbound 6. 80 of the calaveras exit it happened in a construction zone, so one of those lanes are already blocked off. But its more folks hit the road. The backup just continues to grow some northbound 6. 80 is crawling out of fremont for Mission North all the way up to the calaveras exit and the southbound rubbernecking is going to be a problem too because south bound traffic has a view of the northbound activity south stay on top of it for you no estimated time of clearing just yet also tracking a Traffic Alert here in concord east for after 6. 80 a truck involved in the crash. Theyre sending out a tow truck to clear it because its rather large and its backing up traffic here as you travel between pacheco in concord or maybe you want to go over to bay point its going to slow you down in both directions of highway 4 and its going to slow you down at the 6. 80 split as well so james and ari i will stay on top of all of these hotspots we have a lot of things working right now and ill check the bridges coming up a little bit later theyre busy to its pretty backed out there ok, thanks a lot rob. Thank you all right so one of the big stories. Were following this morning obviously is the fact that thousands of people here in the bay area are waking up once again with no power and heres a look at p g knees status map and you can see the areas in purple are the areas that have these Power Outages that are impacting communities again in all corners of the bay area. Nobodys immune south bay peninsula east bay and the north bay as well and this something weve been dealing with for we want to continue our live coverage of it right now go to kron fours will tran. In orinda one of many places you visited over the last several days that have had the lights turned off well. Fortunately the lights are back on meaning Mother Nature other than that thats still be in the dark because pg and e still working to restore power. They did that to about 200,000 people by 10 oclock last night they still have about a 180,000 people left to go in the overnight hours pg e crews, theyre actually in lafayette. We caught them at that location they were looking at the system underground they still have to look at all the. Our lines by the way of helicopter because the last thing they want to do is flip on the switch and all of a sudden theres a line down at some dry area and then spark a wildfire when all of this was to prevent a wildfire. Still a lot of people theyve been in the dark since sunday pga neither been doing this to prevent the winds from possibly damaging all the lines and then all of a sudden here comes another wildfire. The air has been clean a lot of people are happy of know wild fires but that does not mean that theyre not frustrated especially if they run a business like this gentleman. Lot of income. Im happy with the je ne i wish that they get their stuff trim the trees keep the fire danger back ive been living here 3rd 53 years and weve had when that whole time. So its so its one thing if you live in a home you dont run a business. Yes, you dont like the power out but can you imagine if you run a business youre losing money every passing day they have to tap dance. They dont know what to do and a lot of businesses rinden throughout the bay area they rely on howard to keep their Security Services going as well well hear from them a little bit later, but i can tell you a lot of people are saying whats going on. But there is a little bit of good news though because pg and e they hope to have all power restored. By tonight. Yes theres a wind event tonight. But they dont expect it to be as strong as it was sunday into monday when we talked about this james and darya word some locations locations you could hear the wind howled the bottom line is its all up to Mother Nature and pg and e they want to side on the side of caution back to you all right, thanks a lot, well check in with later. From was location there are in orinda lets head to the north bay now where people that have been impacted by the power shut offs have been without power since sunday morning. Now the Utility Company says it expects to fully restore all of those folks by tonight if all goes well, and yes while residents are bit better prepared to go without power this time around the situation. Still comes with its challenges. Super hard because my wife, sandy calm. I went one who were beaten needed warnings ahead of time so thats good. So i went out and bought thing to try to power or way for internet my father he lives off of cherry ridge road and theyve been without power have no idea when theyre going to be with our they give them no esta metaverse turrell time. Hes got a generator and he doesnt know how long that propane and that generators alaska. Yeah pgd started checking the lines and restoring power. Yesterday the utility says its actually found at least 13 cases of wind related damage, including lines that were completely down. A 100,000 people had to leave their homes because of the silverado fire. It sparked yesterday morning and in Orange County its already grown to 11,000 plus acres. It is 5 contained new number on team at this morning. 2 firefighters have been badly injured and Southern California edison says theyre investigating to see if their equipment sparked this fire. We also have crews on the way to help heres video from san firefighters leaving early this morning to head to Southern California and help battle the Silverado Canyon fire james all right now lets get the very latest on a fire burning east of anaheim in yorba linda. Its called the blue ridge fire in these are some of the latest pictures that have come into our newsroom this morning. More than 6600 acres has burned so far as this morning, the containment numbers still at 0 and thats going to be a problem with Kimberly Chang reporting. Youre looking at a home that burned near blue ridge drive in Big Horn Mountain way in yorba linda firefighters tried their best to not only protect the house but to save what items they could including the familys pets, they called my parents asking if we go and help retrieve there. Get those the lizard son. So i ran down the street in. I went to grab them. My heart breaks for them i i know this family lives in this home you know i cant imagine what theyre going through Henry Dicarlo junior and his dad katie lees own Henry Dicarlo live nearby it happened. So quick i mean weve been through this before but this is literally. 15 minutes, it was sunny and then also denies smelled smoke looked outside there was a fire coming up the hills i left my house i thought my house was gone we had flames coming over the back wall. I couldnt even see the backyard. Part of our backyard was already on fire firefighters save their home. I cant tell you how great these firefighters or flames were reported around 01 00pm residents, north of the 91 freeway near Gypsum Canyon were asked to leave their homes more than a 1000 homes in multiple communities were under mandatory evacuation orders hundreds more are under voluntary evacuation by monday afternoon were doing ok right now weve got the notice there on standby for evacuation. I mean my mom came back home pack the and right now were just waiting for the official call the fire started near the green river gulf club where we found martin mar been watching and waiting he told us the powers been out all day now we have no phone nothing out here powers been out for a while. So were just pretty much just staring at the fires. That was Kimberly Chang reporting fire Officials Say more than 50,000 people have been evacuated from their homes so far as they continue to fight this fire. Still ahead on the kron 4 morning News High School students in gilroy being told to get tested for coronavirus after a student tested positive. A big party and 2 wildfires burning out of control we just showed you very latest on that well continue to follow them. We definitely got no shortage of sunshine across the bay area this morning, the east bay looking pretty good with the east bay hills in the distance. Under a nice sunrise. We will continue to see sunshine this afternoon and slightly warmer temperatures than yesterday. Im tracking your commute this morning looking at this a fatal accidents on 6. 80 and son all we have 2 lanes closed at motorcycle crash traffic still backed up heavily leading up to the scene saw phil top of this and well check in on more hot spots coming up in a bit. 14 right now checking out the weather the sunshine tour has been 9 then johns talking more about that and whats to come for the next couple of days ahead, john yeah, ive got good news for the next handful of days. Well, good news with conditions we still though have rain so were still have plenty of dry grasses and brush. But at least the winds are calming down in temperatures by no means are going to be too terribly hot. So there is some things to look forward to in the days ahead of us looking outside this morning. All that sunshine is beautiful to look at but the sign of some very dry conditions in place all across the bay. Even out towards the coast here in timber on with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Winds very breezy for the north bay, although pretty calm for bayside in coastal areas, San Francisco hayward san jose oakland, all looking at a calm start to the morning. Well sonoma calistoga atlas peak in vacaville still in the midst of some pretty strong winds most of the stronger of winds are sitting right above the bay, so surface itself pretty calm while you head up into the mountains thats where youre more exposed to these peak wind gusts by noontime still very breezy for the north bay occasional winds working down into areas like oakland and San Francisco. But not all in all the windiest of days into the close of the day this is 05 15pm look at how much calmer will be and stay that way really through the evening tonight with continually coming conditions, red flag warnings hanging on for upper elevations in the east bay along with marine in Sonoma County mountains all Solano County most of napa county as well these areas still subject to those strong gust of wind gusts and until 05 00pm today fire danger, definitely still remains a big threat and really will even after these red fort flag warnings expire but will begin to diminish as those winds begin to calm down in the days to come. Right now you do see those areas of red in the coastal ranges around San Francisco and up in the Sierra Nevada and really across the broader west coast in general this is due to some strong winds as we see that low pressure area really stirring things up across the region, but as that low pressure works its way out look at how much less of those red and yellow gradients we begin to see which indicate that increase fire weather and by the time we work into tomorrow morning things actually looking a whole lot calmer across the region and that means better conditions as far as fire weather goes. Improved weather come wednesday thursday and friday so at least we can take a bit of a breather from the red flag warnings for a few days hopefully. Temperatures today will be in the 70s for San Francisco, a few 60s right along the coastline, although overall pretty warm unclear day for coastal areas, daytime highs along the bay for a few spots actually back up to 80 degrees like saying carlos in foster city and then temperatures in the south bay from yesterdays low 70s to the mid to upper 70s today. So notable warmup east bay daytime highs also mostly 70s, although a few 80s also back in play for areas like walnut creek and concord berkeley youre up to in i 75 today while 80s and sonoma napa in youngsville his words fare as well as fairfield and vacaville, our warm spot in the bay today will be petaluma 84 degrees along with sonoma. Novato and center fell 82 today. Heres a look ahead at your next 7 days temperatures tomorrow thursday and friday, a little bit cooler. Were also going to have calmer winds on these days which is why theres not going to be any red flag warnings here saturday we warm up a bit for halloween and then sunday you get that extra hour of sleep and some sunshine when you do eventually wake up bayside areas in the 70s for your temperatures all through the forecast and coastal areas, mostly upper 60s to low 70s. Robin. Thank you john are heading back to our major hot spot in seminole and thats a fatal motorcycle crash that still active still blocking right here on northbound 6. 80 of the calaveras road exit the 2 left lanes are closed here backed up for miles into fremont beyond Mission North so be on the lookout for that crowding and then the southbound trip the opposite side stock up just a little bit leading up to the scene so no estimated time of clearing but ill stay on top of it leave early of 6 80s, a part of your commute we also have a problem here on highway 4 as youre actually between conquered up a check on martinez east for after 6 ad a crash involving a truck were waiting for a tow truck, the left lane is blocked so youre backed up about a mile or so here on highway 4 backed up heavier on west 4th, the opposite side thats filling all the way back toward the pittsburg bay point bart station they can see the eastbound activity so 21 minutes here for west for and over to concord near second hotspot that ill be tracking for you this morning. No problems on the bridges its slow but thats normal 40 minutes here is your average into San Francisco yes, theres a way but no problems here on through downtown and 92 already thinning out and looking good right traffic is improving already to the peninsula. 14 minutes, not bad to make it over to send tail back to you. In the buzz, nice to see him or envoy rise, even if he is leading a division rival as monday night saw jared goff and the rams beat the bears to rebound from a week 6 loss to the San Francisco 49 ers the niners biggest hurdle has been a high ankle sprains jeff wilson snapped after his 3rd touchdown against the patriots. Same thing that knocked out he most hurt and to jimmy g 3 weeks to and richie james junior also has an ankle injury and the niners may still be hamstrung by Deebo Samuels hammy koh chang and can only hope that more niners get healthy and time to take on the seahawks sunday. Watch every single play the whole game. I mean every time he gets hit there as it looks like the goal line is right in front of them and hes doing everything he can to cross that you can see it on the field. I want to try to talk to him during the 2nd quarter barely could communicate with me as he was in that spot side and try to mess a mess it up. But i was very happy for him and how hard he played was extremely unfortunate got hurt. I mean again the Russell Wilsons in i mean no matter what happens they have a chance and i think thats why you see so many weird and ig said. As he can always pull something out of the bag and pull something off crazy so weve seen a number of barriers so our players are ready for it is always going to come down to the wire. San francisco has whether the injury storm fairly well so far theyre 4, 3, if they want to make the postseason they got to get these guys healed up and fast. Things have gone from bad to worse fast for Odell Beckham junior, he tore his acl trying to make a tackle after Baker Mayfield got picked off. And now hes out for the entire season. The browns first game without him will be sunday against the raiders who are still licking their wounds from being so badly beaten by tommy and tampa bay, the coach gruden is hinting that defensive changes are looming. We play some really good offense just so you know, tom bradys a problem for a lot of people so is drew brees and certainly a lot of the guys that weve seen are very good players. Were going to stick together bond together and make some changes in the lineup possibly in the scheme that we use and were open we change the results that were getting. Helping grid says his fingers are crossed that red brown can get back into the game. Hes feeling good. But since he tested positive for covid he cannot play until he passes all the tests. It wasnt covid but hot sauce that knocked out a cowboys coach defensive coordinator mike nolan had to hang up on his media zoom call because he got can pass going die. Look when he nobody looks good i just to bask on my finger and when was in good. Pair of im sorry. You know what to say. He had to go away washes eye out and then returned. The niners center avenue yet well it didnt happen to me it happened my wife was cutting jalapeno god when europe just same thing rubber. I real quick. And all of a sudden i just hear like come down and help washer i a but i was cringing he kept rubbing it with the sale i dont know whats wrong with my new year there and you know i know its bad i were said to me is ill do the dental floss yeah and then all mess with my i you know before bedtime or something and let me tell you its not best but that menthol the men all this yet your eyes is good yeah thats right so. Lets just hope nobody loses an eye on thats of us. Breaking news from overnight a man was found shot to death in a car that had crashed. Into a pole it was around 89th and macarthur Boulevard Police got a shotspotter notification around 11 oclock last night. Oakland police were able to interview a few people in the area but nobody so far has been arrested. And that video of Philadelphia Police officer shooting and killing 27 yearold Walter Wallace on monday has sparked protests. Investigators say he had a knife in his hand and it failed to obey officers orders for him to drop it. Shortly after that video of the shooting was posted online protest broke out across the city. Yeah, hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets in the early hours of this morning at times turning violent with clashes between officers in riot gear and protesters the philly pd says more than a dozen officers were injured overnight with one officer still in the hospital this morning after she was hit by a truck luckily, her injuries are not life threatening. The illinois District Attorney announced earlier this morning that their office is now investigating the incident. 27 still ahead on the kron 4 morning news nonessential offices. Are allowed to have more people coming inside now in San Francisco and returning to work. And so our Fitness Studios and gyms will tell you about the latest guidelines in few minutes. Time now is 08 30am were looking at the weather were hoping for a break in what weve seen is a pattern for the last several days, yeah, the winds particularly mean thats whats really driving the red flag warnings the Power Outages, well just get the winds to go away now everything anything and look a lot better john any chance of that yeah it looks like the winds are already starting to diminish for a lot of areas and will continue to do so over the course of the next 24 hours which is definitely good news. Still do have those dry grasses and brush that will contribute to at least some fire danger but the winds are the factor here that have prompted the red flag warning so seeing those go away will be very helpful. You look outside at walnut creek this morning shows you just how bright and dry. Those skies are its the same all the way out to the coastline at sunshine all across the region as these inland winds continue to push any sort of marine layer away from us that means we have low humidity, strong winds for some of us and then of course the dry tinder too. Atlas peak, vacaville, sonoma and calistoga have consistently been our windy spots all morning long that will continue through the rest of your morning to by noontime today a bit of a breeze picking up in areas like oakland in danville but not near what we saw yesterday and then into the evening look at this after 05 00pm we really start to come down even for areas like out was speaking calistoga which have been or windiest thats why after 05 00pm today, red flag warnings that youre still seeing hanging on the map will be expiring which is such a nice thing to say because it seems like weve been under these red flag warnings for a while now upper elevations of the east bay as well as marine and sonoma counties continue to be affected by this highest a fire danger as well as all of solano and much of napa counties. Temperatures right now are cool in the 50s and 60s with oakland and berkeley in the low 60s. Dublin, livermore and much of the north bay pretty chilly in the 40s, a sign of that dry air oftentimes youll see very chilly evening lows. When humidity as low as it is im talking of course more about the fire danger in the week ahead of us still to come in your forecast. We had some issues on roadways this morning and it looks like we still do have a bit of a back up on 6 ad robin near right still there its a fatal motorcycle accident under investigation right now 2 lanes shut down and lots of heavy traffic john so youre going to get out there early of 6. 80 is a part of your commute because youre going to be stuck in traffic. Out of fremont heading northbound approaching Mission North all the way up to the scene there at calaveras where this fatal crashes in blocking for over an hour now southbound is actually the commute direction, the opposite side of the crash and its really not that bad not too many folks on the road heading south so youre back up this mostly northbound thats what im staying on top of for you we also have a hot spot here on highway 4 in concord this is east for at the 6. 80 split an accident involving a truck were waiting for a tow truck to get this out of the way so highway for east is crawling from around low and then highway for west pockets of crowding out of a point in to conquer it leading up to the scene well check in on bay area bridges coming up next target aims thank you 33 and the latest with coronavirus the u. S. Dealing with the highest average number of cases since the pandemic began effect over the past week the country reported an average of about 68,000 new cases each and every day which is up. More than 22 compared to the week before the average deaths are also up 10 in 2 weeks. People are dying 794 people are dying every day thats a problem and the alarming rate of infection now is leading to more and more concerned because were coming up on the Holiday Travel season, and if people do get together like theyre not supposed to but many will then the worries well have an explosion of cases, yeah, all of the experts are saying do not have extended family over for thanksgiving. Lets take a look at the numbers in california so far with over 911,000 people testing positive and 17,400 californians have died of covid and that includes in the bay area 1715 people now the battle against coronavirus is a little bit better here in the bay area in fact happening today we have San Francisco set to relax some of restrictions so that reopenings can start to take place, yes, and offices are allowed to have people come back into work if they want kron 4 Sarah Stinson is live. And San Francisco with a look at who might be doing that i sarah. Darya got the answers to our question that weve been asking all morning are people going to head back to the office are they ready. Most people ive talked to said theyre not ready and they may never go back because people have been leaving San Francisco for good or just shutting down altogether Remote Working seems to be working. Well take a look so what is going to be happening in San Francisco, not only our office is allowed to have 25 capacity, but on your screen now you can see. Were in now in the states yellow tear nonessential offices can open personal skin care businesses with waxing services and skin treatments can reopen climbing gyms are going to be opening in now regular gyms they can open at 25 capacity as well a week from today a lot more will be happening today. Week from today Indoor Dining malls museums aquariums zoos theaters in places of worship can increase to 50 capacity also on november, 3rd indoor pools bowling alleys can reopen under the new guideline employers misconduct health check of employees each day as they entered the office but are people ready to go back to the office will i talked to 2 women. Both work for different companies, not big tech companies. Either one woman saying that her pr company shut down there as seth office altogether. Right when they realize kind of well its going to happen in a shutdown or office made us all permanent now which is fine. Yeah, they keep us safe in so we can set up desk at home but we are a point to different offices i dont think he was ready to go back to the office yet like the more i talk to them. Its still a little iffy. Well those who do head back to the office if the case rates in San Francisco remain stable or continue to improve in San Francisco for at least 30 days in the city will expand Office Capacity to 50 it will be very interesting to see how many offices reopen if they reopen at all im seeing a lot of for lease signs down here in the downtown area so its very concerning for the city, but i talked to another woman she said while we shut down our office we think that there everything will bounce back and eventually companies will come back. And hopefully that does happen now for now want to keep reopening wearing a mask and definitely keeping that social distancing going is definitely key reporting live in San Francisco Sarah Stinson back to you ok, thank you sarah. This coming for entertainment and nightlife venues in San Francisco, the city is waiving regulatory license fees and Business Registration fees for 2 years and also waiving the payroll expense taxes for 2020. The city says this is the equivalent to 2. 5 Million Dollars in financial support. A 37 right now and some restaurants in the state are suing california. Because they were charged fees while they were closed in the pandemic this lawsuit asked the state to refund more than a 100 Million Dollars in liquor and health permits and tourism assessment fees. The businesses say that they were threatened with permanent closure. If they didnt pay up. California officials now have 45 days to respond. This lawsuit was filed in los angeles but restaurant ers in San Francisco and in fresno could be next to file lawsuits. Lets go to the south bay in our possible covid19 outbreak among High School Students in gilroy is being traced back to a private party. Students at both Christopher High School and gilroy high might have been exposed after one student tested positive for coronavirus about 200 people attended that party back on of october 16th. Not exactly clear how many students may have been exposed, but the worry is that a number of them have Health Officials now are encouraging all students in the district between the age of 1418 be tested. Our mission our goal is to limit the transmission of covid19 especially in areas so that seeing a disproportionate impact. So we we responded immediately by setting up a an additional testing resource that was communicated to all the families and of the students who attended this party. And many of the students who attended that party participate in sports. The School District says that all sports as a result of been suspended going forward. Well take a break here, the 39 coming up the weather is cooling down, but theyre still high risks. A fire danger will talk more about that and just one week now before election day and the trump and biden campaigns are making a last minute push to sway voters were going to take a look at where they are on the campaign trail. Week away from the november election in the bay area local officials are seeing big numbers of ballots. Coming in in Santa Clara County. Theyve got more than 380,000 ballots. So far in a news conference. The county says that voters should you know not worried about the safety of their ballot. That they have not had any complaints about Voter Suppression or intimidation at the drop boxes. You know we have no issues about official drop boxes in Santa Clara County we are prepared with backup plans abc and d for every issue and Cyber Security and physical security. So say the police are prepared to respond any problems if the half to the county is going to be opening a total of a 100 votes Center Locations on saturday and theyll be open through election day november, 3rd. Well in the east bay, new technology could speed things up on election day in Contra Costa County poll workers no longer need a paper list to confirm voter information instead theyll be using these ipads the pope had contained all th registered are registered voters information so its just there for them. The new technology also expedites the in person voting experience and enhances voter fraud prevention. Postal service says it needs to be dropped in the mail today now, although the vote by mail varies from state to state the Postal Service says that if you do not mail your ballot by today. They cannot guarantee that will be delivered by election day. Instead youll need to drop it off at a ballot box to ensure your vote is counted. We are going to be seeing some sunshine this afternoon like we are already this morning and some 70s for san jose oakland and San Francisco, definitely doesnt sound all that bad, but how about those red flag warnings ive got the updates ahead. And get out there early because we have lots of stopping all traffic around the bay area this morning were taking a look at the san mateo bridge where traffic is pretty quiet right now to the peninsula will have more bridge checks and take a peek at 6 ad coming up in a bit stay with us. I mean we have a sneak out of your i mean its fantastic not a cloud in the sky and that sort of been. Well weve seen that here the past few days. Problem is its also coming with strong what you know ive waited my entire life to have a you know an office with a view and the view Corner Office with a cousin users are always in basement and the catch is that you know this is just sent you live shot, its really not a win. But its video john also has an equally impressive due to weather, youre magic window. John what i love my new fake windows got yeah a full and sometimes theyre actually better than real windows because you can switch about 3 different views in israel windows looking outside we do have a nice of you to look out these fake windows that. While the creek one of our very bright spots across the bay area this Morning Bright dry and windy for some of us but not for all of us that was yesterday we traded those winds right along the bay for some calm conditions in hayward oakland, San Francisco and san jose. Its the north bay in especially those upper elevations of the north bay that are still in the midst of some of our strongest of winds and that will remain true on into the afternoon ahead of us after 05 00pm though look at this uniformly across the bay area we really begin to come down both from the mountains of the north bay to our bayside areas so we are seeing some relief from the strongest of winds ahead of us. We still have all the dry tinder dry grasses and brush which means were not out of the woods as far as fire danger goes. But at least we take our step of our foot off the gas gas pedal as far as our highest a fire danger is concerned red flag warnings remain for Solano County as well as most of napa county, then upper elevations, a marine and sonoma counties and our upper elevations in the east bay all these areas. Definitely going to be looking at some breezy conditions at least the morning into early afternoon as winds remain strong aloft but at the surface, especially right along the bay youre not really getting in the mix as far as those breezier conditions go you can see on the big picture set up here that low pressure that stirred its way across the region bringing us the strong offshore wind is still resulting in heightened fire danger in those red and yellow gradients on the map but as we work our way gradually through this week into tomorrow look at how we see less and less of that red and yellow on the map from the sierra to the bay area meaning that our fire danger gradually continues to diminish. Tomorrow were going to be looking at much less of a fireprone day than what we have been in the midst of to start the week so theres what we have to focus on some good news as we make our way over the next couple of days, 70s 80s for your daytime highs today, were still looking at some breezy spots like napa and santa rosa which will also be in the 80s. Well conquered 80 degrees oakland, hayward and san jose just a touch warmer than yesterday today in the upper 70s for inland valleys, daytime highs will be pretty stable upper 70s to low 80s pretty much all the way through this forecast a little warmer come your halloween weekend or bayside areas also looking at temperatures not changing too terribly much forecast steady in the low to mid 70s. Well, coastal areas in the upper 60s to low 70s. Halloween on saturday and looking at some dry skies for that you also get that extra hour of sleep sunday morning as we fall back an hour. Robin. Thank you john were checking back in our hot spots we have to hotspots 2 Traffic Alert still in place of in been blocking for over an hour now this motorcycle accident still wrapping up here in seminole northbound 6. 80 the calaveras it was a fatal motorcycle crash, you know fatal accidents take much longer to investigate and clear so you still have some heavy traffic leaving fremont working your way northbound into snow with the left lane still called off there so keep that in mind and then as you work your way through Pacheco Martinez and conquered east 4th 6. 80 crash still blocks the left lane theyre having a tough time clearing a truck thats involved in this crash. So its backing up right there at the interchange here second hot spot to keep your eyes on here the bay bridge toll plaza traffic is spinning out of its not a great commute, but at least its trouble free. We consider this a minor pretty easy going into San Francisco, 13 minutes is your drive times so thats not bad at all and i give you one more beautiful shot of the golden gate, your trip here on one of one fantastic 20 minutes rolling south nevado to the toll plaza well take a quick break and well be back with more weather and traffic updates. Come back 8. 54, lets get a round up of the hour we have been seeing some Cool Conditions so far but overall some really clear skies to i mean the Golden Gate Bridge is Crystal Clear this morning, not a cloud in the sky just a couple of glitches on the camera. Now as far as our day planner goes at the coast daytime highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. We will have some windy hillside areas but closer to the coast itself, well be a little bit on the calmer side. The same will be the case for inland valleys valleys themselves rather calm, but the hillsides as were going to be seeing breezy conditions at times daytime highs today in the upper 70s to low 80s, making for a slightly warmer one than yesterday was daria.
