And you know we like the sun but we dont like the increase in fire danger right the suns nice theyre quality thats been nice to so theres a couple of nice things about today. In see their quality out there across the board nice today we are going to see sunshine as offshore winds keep any fog away from us. Unfortunately as we all know its those same offshore winds that results in the heightened fire risk those really do kick into gear today, this is where were at with wind speeds right now not are breezy east of times but we are noticing wind starting to pick up in the north bay by midafternoon today, this is at 3 oclock in the morning tomorrow we actually do see some of our strongest of winds so midafternoon today winds pick up tonight into tomorrow morning, some of our breezy a step times calistoga glen ellen in sonoma for example, seeing winds gusting well into a 30 mile per hour range regularly peak gusts up to 4045 even 50 Miles Per Hour. Through the day on thursday well continue to look at these strong winds and even into friday morning. Some strong winds for the north bay and east bay mountains can be continue to be expected. After that we calm down into the upcoming weekend multiple days of red flag warnings ahead of us including upper elevations on the peninsula. All of the inland east bay and the north bay to that includes the Santa Cruz Mountains where winds will gust as high as 35 Miles Per Hour. Inland east bay similar range of gusts once you head up into the hills above berkeley and oakland out into those inland valleys also and up into the north bay will be affected by these red flag warnings gusts in the north bay as high as 45 to 50 Miles Per Hour. First todays daytime highs go noticeably warmer than we have been back solidly into the 80s across San Francisco, a range of 70s and 80s right along the coastline with 80s to 90s right along the bay shore today, redwood city and san carlos as well as Mountain View and sunnyvale each into the 90s today while san jose holds on to the upper 80s east bay daytime highs anywhere from the 80s to 90s with pleasanton one of her hotter spots at 97. Dan while the creaking conquered egypt 5 and even san leandro into the low 90s up in the north bay, one of our highest fire danger areas will be solidly 90s too with pittsburgh at 94 santa rosa pedal and nevado each at 93 today, tomorrows temperatures dont change much inland, but we will see daytime highs near the base starting to rise as offshore winds becoming even bigger factor thats going to of draw that hot dry air closer and closer to the coast. Temperatures remain in the 90s bayshore and inland by friday before we start to cool down and calm down into the weekend. Robin right. You dont want worry a stress about any problems out there and right now its looking really good and it stays this way nice and quiet and smooth all the way across the upper deck right on through downtown San Francisco. Now if you take the golden gate and youre trying to get into San Francisco from the north bay traffic is moving well so far i dont see any big problems so far for the southbound commute leaving nevado mill valley sausalito is just going to be a smooth trip and then northbound heading out of San Francisco. We had some unusual maintenance work. But that is not interrupting traffic. Were checking in on the richmond sandra fell 5. 80 westbound few cars there at the pay gates but an easy trip peer into the north bay if anything pops up, ill let you know right now we remain hot spot free.
