Alamos road near fawn drive and scotland drive in Sonoma County. The sky Hawk Community has had to evacuate there have been many homes lost already they cant get near these areas other than to fire fight the cant count. The number of buildings that have burned. But we do know that at least entire winery with an in has burned down to the ground weve seen several homes go up in flames right before our eyes. Also a lot of ranch land included in that 10,000 plus acres total yeah, in fact as daryn mentioned skyhawk we have some video from their earlier from 4 Sarah Stinson was there as well and that is. One of the areas where weve actually seen homes burn in our live pictures, right there along the roads that border skyhawk drive in fact, heres a map illustrating where these fires are burning right now so let me lay the land for you. We had as i mentioned early yesterday a fire break out in napa county thats the icon you see towards the upper portion of the screen. That is the glass fire. Well, the winds have been blowing in the overnight hours down towards the lower left corner of your screen and thats been blowing the over the county line and into Sonoma County. And you see those other 2 icons, those represent the 2 spot fires have that have erupted. And burned in the overnight hours one of them being in santa rosa the eastern edge of santa rosa now being evacuated and thats that i see sort of in the center of your screen. Thats the one thats been sparking thousands of people to have to leave their homes and those Evacuation Orders have been growing this town and these are people who have been through so much just in the last 3 years i was wondering james of are going hear any stories of people who. Rebuilt from the tubbs fire right so 2017, youve got 3 years to rebuild can you imagine then your house burning down again or leaving under these Evacuation Orders, not knowing if its going to be standing or not. Weve got 800 firefighters and intense air battle going on water drops are using the seat and the 7. 47. There it is hard as they can. And im sure this morning theyll be calling for even more aid to those fires. Lets go to Sergeant Chris meagher hear it from the Santa Rosa Police department for an update on new Evacuation Orders that just came in within the last hour or so. Good morning. So can you tell we just got word i think maybe it was 6. 30 that there was a whole new round the more people were evacuated. Correct you know full of a 15 to 30 minutes. We have another evacuation. Order go out it was the area for spring lake and palmer field which is it for warning the last several hours midnight last night but at last 30 minutes weve now made official order to evacuate from that area. And yeah last we talked to those were just evacuation warnings is there any anticipation then that maybe communities to the west of spring lake and somerville like east one in east to could goes potentially be put on notice with a warning at some point this morning. What your sense of how this fire is progressing. Right now were getting that have a shift change some of the fresh i think going on at the 7 oclock hour. I know theyre evaluating that right now, but. Its pretty safe to say that if you have any. In the document ordered him join the kind of evacuation area have your backpack be ready to go. If you know somebody that you can go right now i would recommend going because that way you dont have to stress one more order potentially come out everybody even more traffic if you have a safe place to go now its always a good option, but out of now theres no warnings or orders for area. And this was the seniors in the oakmont village, a Senior Living community. That so many people 4,500 have you finished the job of getting all of them out because i know youre telling us earlier high had city buses going in there and just busing. These people out dozens at a time. Yeah, but they my understanding that oakman was taking care of and the people were evacuated out of there. Ok very good so as far as more Evacuation Orders whats the next place that we should be watching. Just continue to watch the areas that are touching the feet that already have. Ordered to leave want you 3. Those are all good area just to keep an eye on. I like it that if youre living in area that never hurts to have a go bag ready to go. And if you do have a safe place to go it doesnt hurt to go there and to be safe and no youre going to be okay that area how do we will update that if russia is going to have more ok and how to go with getting power shut off. Id imagine theres great number of people in santa rosa have no power right now. Yeah, how i dont have much to about that at all, but im not sure about him, i know i know that some dark areas out there, but im not sure that where they are ok and how the roads been to have people been evacuating in an orderly fashion or are there any problems on that front. Yeah, i mean theres a lot of traffic to get a lot of stop and go to they can kind of get out of the area but. We do appreciate the fact that people are being patient with one another knowing that it is your neighbor on the road with you who have the same concern. Everyone is stressed that one seems to be doing it well they cant. All right very good at what the star to have to report that we had those 2 extra areas being added to the mandatory the spring lake in the summer field, but we appreciate you keeping us updated and if these Evacuation Orders continue to evolve obviously will want to chat with you against we appreciate your time this morning sergeant. Not a problem, thank you all right, well check in with you later and as a people are streaming out of those neighborhoods you only a 7 as one of our reporters heading to them and shes been reporting live from Sonoma County all morning. Long where you right now you lee. Yeah, im still on highway 12 and just kind of driving off highway 12 and just trying to see you know whats going on on some of the side streets so this is highway 12, ive been following the just too firefighters have been jumping back and forth everywhere as well. They just really has saved this neighborhood a moment here. The day can see this wall there at an a through the haze you can see that theres that neighborhood not that neighborhood has been evacuated and i cant remember the name of that. Street right now but. You know this whole field was on fire. You can see how it have planes and smoking. And firefighters have been able to at least stop it from going into that neighborhood. So for now at least thats really good for them a bed as i pan up or down highway 12 you can see how smoky and. You can see some plumes all the way over there to you know thats fire thats raging right now and theyre just trying to jump everywhere inches trying to protect property and try stop it from going into neighborhoods because weve all known seen how fires could be merciless and they could ravage a whole neighborhood so the firefighters at least the ones ive been following have been doing an awesome job in trying to really prevent it from getting into neighborhoods trying to really step out the fires while theyre still on the field and not going into homes and stuff like that so thats been really great guy so im just going to try to continue on highway 12 because i know this whole area has evacuated on fire just continue to go up highway 12 try to show you some pictures of whats going on. Again i want to remind people if you have any kind of life stop you should call right a county animal response. Unit and they can take out your livestock safely i just it over over there little further down. On highway 12 and they were able to rescue some of the horses and ponies off of the pony express ranch, so even if you have to can still go out there dont try to save them right absolutely this is our first shot from you. In first light. So when you are driving in the dark you are saying how it so scary an ominous and the visibility was terrible and now you can see a lot more of the damage claims but its still smoking and it must be hard to see when you get right through thick smoke up ahead of you. I hard to see hard to breathe, but lot of smoke and ash in the air and you know these bars do actually whip up sometimes more. When within themselves you know they say they create their own little Climate Change there in and i notice that when this was really raging. The trees are just whipping back and forth and of course some of ambers. Just numbers, i mean just they they fly across the metro another feel catches on fire but like i said the firefighters have been just jumping from side to side trying to put them out before they reach the neighborhoods. And when direction on 12 are you facing just so i can orient myself. Thats a good question. James and j well lets just say okay, i guess that would be great. I came off of one oh one some heading towards sonoma okay, youre heading south on 12 right now. All right very and its on both sides of the freeway there so we know its its you know obviously jumped 12, got that suspicion this morning, yeah. And while thats why only right thats why feeling that had. Exactly im trying to see you know where their purported and lot of times like i said by the time i get there and set up they they really have stamped out as much as they could thats all right well thank you very much yoli and is going continue moving in giving us another perspective. When we visit with her again next the following the firefighters are scrambling to start. To attack some of these other fires that are breaking out you saw that dark plume of black smoke in the another fire that erupted look at this new shot wow so that was our first light from the only on the scene and this weve been watching. This pg and live shot at the stable, a camera and now it is just bright orange, in sonoma looking out in the direction of napa on obviously with all the smoke in the air its causing that orange glow that we know. All too well in San Francisco and elsewhere. Since the fires weve seen here in the last few weeks of cars that same phenomenon you could waking up this in marin county San Francisco east bay weve got reports from everybody. Being able to smell the thick smoke. That is coming from these fires that have now exceeded 10,000 acres. Quite a big difference from the 20 acres that first broke out just about 24 hours or so ago and obviously with people evacuated from this area they cant have school of course because. Youre not home. You dont have power and with Distance Learning its just its a whole headache. The people who need to be dealing with right now so lets go to Robin Winston shes following how the kids are being affected this morning robin yes, the Childrens School staff, you know as these neighborhoods are under Evacuation Orders of course are being impacted so. Continue to receive updates from the Sonoma County office of education this morning just letting folks know that today, Certain School districts will not be open so theyre asking folks to not come to campus today. Once again the neighborhoods are under evacuations, the families and the school south all impacted by the fires that are burning in the north bay so check out the list that we have on your screen for Sonoma County. Theres been Valley Union School District their skin would School District and also the rent con valley School District. All of those schools with in those districts will not be Holding Class today. So they dont want you on campus and theyre not doing distancelearning either and once again this is because of the fires that are burning in the end the impact that its having on the neighborhoods and all the families that live along that stretch so well keep you posted this is only for today but as crews continue to battle the fire and make progress well let you know if these closures extend through the next couple of days or weeks of so we have not received that just yet these closures are only for today, but well definitely keep you posted back to you all right, thanks robin. So lets continue our team robin talking about School Closures i know johns in the Weather Center. Keeping an eye on the winds which of course have been the source behind how these fires erupted overnight and then he going to the hottest day right. Yeah, todays the guys also bringing the strongest of winds to see you can see why firefighters are so concerned and taking these evacuation so seriously. Winds have been a constant from the evening through the overnight hours on into our Morning Hours still gusting as high as 20 to 25 Miles Per Hour regularly in the facilities of the shady and voice and fires the good news about the winds is theyre actually going to come down pretty substantially by the afternoon, our first sign of from the factors that are lining up to create this extreme fire danger still will be breezy at times this afternoon. But unlike the 45 to 50 Miles Per Hour gusts that weve had overnight at the tops of some of our mountain peaks in these fire vicinity ease we are going to be seeing much calmer conditions which is great news. We are going to see lower humidity into the afternoon as oftentimes happens bone, dry conditions in fact for nevada when young bill as humidity falls below 10 in both of these spots so definitely something is not ideal for the fight of these fires and why we still do have red flag warnings meaning extreme fire danger for the north bay and the inland east bay all the way through 09 00pm tonight coupled with these red flag warnings heat advisories in peach and then also in those same areas affected in red as daytime highs today as we mentioned are some of our hottest center tower cam its too bright right now to be seeing that it was a gorgeous few just a second ago you could actually make out some of the haze there as smoke from these wildfires settles back down into the bay. The strong north easterly winds are pushing a lot of that smoke into portions of sonoma marin and then right into the bay itself where quality is very ports even at its worst right around Santa Rosa Petaluma down to nevada this morning so be mindful of that as you venture outside. Temperatures showing a wide range, some of us are in the 60s, some of us are in the 80s weve had winds pushing around thermals throughout the night so some of us actually remain pretty warm throughout the evening hours. Saint right now 84 look at cloverdale 87 degrees for your morning temperature napa and berkley also in the low 80s. Well nevado in petaluma on the other hand falling into the cool 60s. So temperatures really all over the place right now. Later on today daytime highs will be in the 90s to triple digits with 80s closer to the coast. Thats a look at your forecast all send it back to you. Theres a lot 7. 15 right now, lets go to some new video that we have they dont have a structure count yet, but you can see there are already many homes that burned down before our here this morning and the sonoma and napa county fires. And you can see here in the video cars and as gary mentioned houses going up in flames and smoke this morning is another shot. And it looks like its were going to see more of this as the mandatory evacuation zones continue to grow this morning with another 2 zones out in santa rosa being added in the last hour or so well have much more coverag of that coming up in just a minute. You make my heart sing wild thing i. Think i. You know what i think . I think you owe us 48. 50. Wild thing. If you ride, you get it. Geico motorcycle. Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more. 7. 18 right lets continue our Team Coverage of the fires in sonoma and napa county force. Thousands of people from their homes and blew up overnight now chewing up more than 11,000 acres now for more on the napa side of this story where the fire originated lets go out to kron fours will tran standing by for us will you been all the move. Were you now what you see. Im still between calistoga and lena, i showed you the hillside about 30 minutes ago now that the sun is up to you dont see the huge contrast between the bright orange and the dark sky. But you what you can see is the smoke, so let me handle that part of the story, its obviously a one to punch the flames and the smoke, breathing is awful this is the area of calistoga that im pointing my camera too. This is the area where people are evacuating at this time that i showed you the sea of headlights leaving this is highway 29 you can clearly see theres pg e trucks. Its used by First Responders so they have told people to get out of this location. This is almost like a. Corridor freeway just for First Responders and the media and if youre wondering why the air so awful no matter where you are you will probably get a good with of smoky conditions, especially here up in the north bay look at that this just a lot of smoke. Members of flying everywhere and you know, yes evans, i heard a report can concur that a fire can create its own firestorm and you can see james and area. Tree just swing back just a little bit south picking up this hillside was bright orange i tweeted out a picture now that the sun is up. You dont see it as much, but it is burning out of control and theyre not getting into it at this particular time theres some homes right there there is no activity as those people im sure the overnight hours. There were told to get out back to you yeah it was crazy this morning when you saw them getting out in the dark will let you stream of headlights people trying to get out dad starting at 1 oclock in the morning and. When you are looking at what 05 00am and they were still not evacuated yet. No it was so bad that the chp officers we were saying that youre going to lose your voice so caltrans came out they set up barriers cones so they didnt have to always tell car after car you got to keep going that hopefully theyll see the barriers the cones and then just get but 2, 2 together and go we cant go down here because before then the chp officers they had their hands full that one for another chp officer realized that this one lists keep saying it over and over that he told her would you like me to give you a break and i can do your job and finally caltrans came in. This is highway 29 look at that james darya it is shut down. This is a freeway only a few miles well call it a freeway only used by First Responders as they are choking off Access Points to this area. All right, thanks right. 24 right now it is hot, it is windy is pretty miserable smoky other to this morning, yeah john in the Weather Center take a look at the forecast and john what can you tell us can we go back to last week i was so nice, but yeah unfortunately, with wildfires burning we do have extreme fire danger and then of course the smoke from those fires pushing into the bay bit of a hazy view over San Francisco this morning worst of air quality in portions of sonoma and marin counties but really all across the bay weaver had a return of very poor conditions as a strong winds out of the northeast push that smoke right our direction as far as wildfire smoke is concerned we are going to see a continuing to drift for direction as these northeasterly winds continue. Good news for the fires themselves as even though it is breezy this morning winds will calm down by the afternoon you do see fairfield in santa rosa to over breezy a spots this morning by the afternoon wind speeds really just chopped in half so this is good news a much calmer forecast ahead of us after this morning as for humidity, it continues to fall into the afternoon very dry conditions for the north bay as humidity drops below 10 in areas like yacht bill in the vicinity of the glass fire and other fires burning in the north bay. Temperatures will be our hottest today in the 90s to triple digits for most of the bay concord Napa Santa Rosa triple digits for you well, 90s and Oakland Hayward san jose out to San Francisco pretty close to the coastline red flag warnings remain in effect till 09 00pm tonight today are highest fire danger day highest potential fire growth day 2 with those strong winds this morning hot temperatures and low humidity tomorrow wont be quite as hot as today, and its also going to be a whole lot calmer so that is good news. We do remain toasty in this forecast just not as hot through tuesday, wednesday and thursday after that relief into the weekend as highs in land fall into the 80s and fall back to the 70s along the bay. Back to you. All right, thank very much john well take a break here at 7. 26 will share with you again these latest pictures from overnight as we go the fire and the devastation that were seeing across portions of napa and Sonoma County this morning. As we have wildfires raging the glass fire the shady fire the boys in fire. And now word the Santa Rosa Junior College is shutting down campus today, no classes today along with a number of School Districts in and around sonoma at your mri. Your shoulder seems to be healing nicely. Well, dr. Farrell, it feels really good. Thats good. And. Im sorry. Baby, dont touch that. I dont want you to play with that. singing twinkle, twinkle little star. How i wonder what you are. still singing up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky. Im so glad that your shoulder is feeling better. But, how are you doing . Im hanging in there. Schedule a video visit with your doctor. And get quality care with no copay. Kaiser permanente. Thrive. We dont know how many homes have burned down yet but we have seen plenty, go up in flames before our eyes, especially in the skyhawks action in Sonoma County of santa rosa. Youre looking here at some of the homes that were burnout him out not drive sort of create a circumference around skyhawk. A park and here you can certainly see homes burning this is where kron 4 Sarah Stinson was earlier this morning giving us these pictures and heres what it looked like. Yesterday, this is from google street view of that community and boy you can see the difference obviously with some homes surviving other homes, not surviving. And sort of just at the whims of the wind which ones would burn at which ones wouldnt because those winds were driving the embers that were raining down on this community and on to the ruse of these homes. And i think if you keep going to write though the one with the 3 karger that that tan house was Still Standing when we went to sarah that was when she was standing in front of live. Lets go to her now and see in first light with this neighborhood looks like sarah. Sun is starting to rise even though we wont be seeing that because the smoke so heavy here live and back again on mountain hop road where the devastation is clear clear as day take a look is just devastation on this side of the street, this is 5, 9, oh one i showed you where i was earlier i was up the hill, this side of the street is a completely fine 5, 9 02 standing tall 5, 9, oh one destroyed so its clear to see how much destruction this fire has caused my camera per second and i dont know if you guys got my video or not but it was crazy to see some of these houses go up in flames. The embers flying like crazy, well try and get that video for you soon. But its insane to see here. The destruction you can see firefighters trying to make a plan try to figure out. What theyre going to do next but they said that this fire has been burning out of control because of that wind and as john has been saying they expect the wind to calm down. So thats going to be the best news of today because that means more houses can be saved, im zooming in here so show you how dense this neighborhood as you see house after house next to each other up on this hill not in high skyhawk next to highway 12. And so thats what makes this dangerous kind of like San Francisco, you know when theres this building after building next each other that so dense it is here house next to each house and so in one house goes up in flames. It just a mass devastation but as we know the fire does playfair it picks and chooses work goes wherever the wind blows can see houses right there. Still standing as well and then if you keep driving down Mountain Hawk more houses that burned down we dont know exactly how many homes have been destroyed. We know 10,000 people. Flood from this area and its just one of those another situation where they just dont know what theyre going to return home to. Like this still like a lot of this smoldering here in the rubble. So the firefight is going to be hard but at least they have that wind calming down later. But as weve seen evacuations have grown their only more and more areas now having to evacuate so when you get that an accusation order. You know up from a warning. Get out and make sure you stay safe because the spire its hard to predict where it is hopefully that winds are calming down. But im not seeing that up here. Well have to continue to fall that hopefully we can get you that video because its just insane to see those embers flying down thats exactly what happened in this neighbor 2 neighborhood as well. Embers falling down and then igniting holmes was in the back to you guys i mean just looking at your shot as youre pointing in that direction, sarah. Just looking at the the overhead map here from google others a bit of a green space between this community that youre in now. And the one off in the distance which is out along sunblock drive and just to see that thats the direction of fire came from. Yet the house is often the distance appear to be unharmed yet. The house is right in front of you across the green space up in smoke. And james thats exactly right in between where im standing in youre seeing those houses in the distance, theres this huge patch of land. It looks like to use for Outdoor Recreation and as like a staircases handles for you the railings for you to hold on to and that whole area it is charged, but as you can see on google maps is no houses in that area and then on the other side, those houses for the most part seemed to be standing tall, so interesting how the fire you know roared through that open greenery and then just came on to mountain hall and wreaked havoc. All right, thanks. A lot sarah from a densely packed neighborhood with homes demolished a the countryside yulia 7 says the following that a lot of ranch land going up in this complex of fires that has now burned 11,000 acres total lets go back out live to her looks like. Shes still are still along highway 12. Looks like we have a problem with her mind we still shot of some of the video in that getting a little there we go go ahead only. Hey there we go. Ok, i know its going to say it keep with me if you can i i think delivered. Little shade yeah this is a part of hi. Go ahead its on and off and were watching a girl, like yeah. Yeah, i dont know my audio can still go on, but im on highway 12 and this is the neighborhood that kind of like. Touches highway 12 and its already think that separating may be fence and so on the other side. I think its called oak light of drive. This is whats happening. You know some of these bills get. Trump bought. First flyover and this whole then fly that separate that neighborhood from highway 12. If caught on fire, so we do have some firefighters up further down the road trying to put it out before it gets to some of the other houses but as you can see that. Wow keeps going out and it really is one of those things. Where where people like a lockout or dont look out you know unfortunately like as the house right next to it is okay. I. You can hear us, but we cant hear you so well we can definitely see the picture that home going up in flames. Get another shot up from a different spot, maybe well be able to hear you better. And see more of what the fire is doing there along highway 12 in Sonoma County. We have other vantage points that we can share with you right now if you believe the live camera from high up in the hills, yeah, this is one of our cal fire. Camera networks that were piggybacking the signal from and you can certainly see as the sun is coming up things are brightening up, but definitely the orange glow from all the fires and smoke above all that area upper would east apparently yeah just oh sorry ok ive just a huge cloud. Orange and then the glow from the fires and the sun coming up and the. Smoke its just incredibly is smell all of it right back here down into closer in or the San Francisco bay area so this fire which started as the glass fire in napa was really wind driven during the overnight hours and thats what sparked now those 2 fires that were following Sonoma County this morning. John trouble in the Weather Center has been tracking those winds and seeing whether or not theyre going to let up at any point today john the good news is james this isnt going to be an allday wind event but it certainly is morning one winds picked up last night as originally forecasted your sunday night. Through monday morning, the windiest time of this forecast and as you can see right now we are Still Holding on to winds that have consistently been gusting in a range of 15 to 25 Miles Per Hour for areas like saint helene a pope valley, glen ellen and santa rosa. Now we wont see winds coming down for a few more hours so theres still potential of rapid growth, especially to the southwest. As these winds from the northeast fanned the flames in that direction overall thats one of the reasons why you saw the glass fire, putting up these spot fires such as the shady and voice and fires closer towards Sonoma County now where is threatening so communities, right along highway 12 there were yoli was just standing. Now we are going to be seeing winds calming down for valley areas, weve also had peak wind gusts above 4500 feet thats those mountain tops as high as 45 to 50 Miles Per Hour. So in there there are still some strong winds where this fires actively burning in those Higher Elevations which is of course, especially concerning now this is your future cast winds right here areas like sonoma in calistoga this morning obviously checking in with some pretty substantial wind speeds. Look what happens as soon as early afternoon winds really begin to calm down. Well still have some spotty breezes out there but that steady heavy wind that weve seen this morning really becoming less and less of a thing in to the finish of the day and its really our first factor of high fire danger that begins to leave the picture after that humidity really begins to drop so even though winds fall into the afternoon humidity is also going to be falling down below 10 young dylan nevado and when you see that you know you have bone dry conditions out there you pair that with the dry vegetation in the region and yes, of course you do have that potential of rapid fire growth still, red flag warnings in high fire danger. These warnings remain in effect until 09 00pm tonight after which point temperature should really begin to cool down. And then tomorrow and overall cooler and calmer day than today, heat advisory still also remain across the region, most notably on the peninsula and right along the bay side as daytime highs today still rise into the 90s and even triple digits all try my 4 mini munchies with marinara or ranch. Back at jack in the box. Try my 4 mini munchies with marinara or ranch. Back at jack in the box. Welcome back 7. 42 right now and the breaking news we are covering the wildfires that are burning in sonoma napa county a lot of angles to this story. Weve had Evacuation Orders that have been expanded during the early Morning Hours and so for the latest on that we do have Robin Winston standing by the breaking news desk with that. Latest information that we need to know robin yes and those orders and evacuation warnings continue to come into our newsroom. So well be updating this list for you throughout the morning, so folks can know exactly what areas are impacted by the 3 fires that are burning in the north bay. So lets take a look at the map. Youll notice that we have areas that are shaded in blue and some are shaded in yellow now keep in mind that the area thats shaded in blue. That is under mandatory Evacuation Order this is for napa county, which means you are ordered to leave because there is an immediate threat to life and that area is no longer accessible to the public. Now you also see the areas that are shaded in yellow thats an evacuation warning, which means you should be packed and ready to go because there is a potential threat to life and the property as we zoom around you can see all the areas that are impacted once again. If you have animals if youre elderly if you take a little bit longer to evacuate and youre just under a warning you should just go ahead and leave even though youre under a warning because that process takes a little bit longer. This area includes area from the 2900 block of White Sulphur springs road to the debt in north to Spring Mountain road and from South Whitehall lane north to White Sulphur springs road west. All the way over to the county line thats included as well once again if youre under a warning you need to be packed and ready to go if youre in an area thats under a warning keep your windows and your doors closed. We also want to mention that there are closures in place for those of you along highway 12 they have that blocked off glen ellyn and santa rosa that areas no longer accessible to traffic. So you want to keep that in mind and then we want to go closer into some of the neighborhoods like check out this map this is the calistoga area you see the neighborhood thats highlighted in yellow there that area is under an evacuation. So this is impacting homes near beaumont near montclair san louis avenue your bird the red area air arrows are the evacuation routes thats how you get out so youre told to use badger road want to boulevard is available for you you can access highway 12 to yourself by using calistoga road Saint Francis road and Mountain Hawk road once again were just going through the areas and showing you whats under Evacuation Orders and how you get out of those areas because a lot of times people say youre telling us to go, but we dont know exactly how to get out now weve moved over to the Saint Francis skyhawk area take a look at the neighborhood thats highlighted in yellow for you this is impacting residents surrounded by the areas of europe Saint Francis road Mountain Hawk road how do you get out of that area you can on a you can use highway 12 the arrows to the south lee utah highway 12 los alamos road is also available for you and theres also montgomery drive which is to your south. Once again if youre under an Evacuation Order dont think twice about it just go ahead and leave because youre putting your life at risk and youre putting firefighters at risk as well if youre under an order they dont want you staying in neighborhood because the roads could be damaged the trees could be down as well as power lines and then if youre under a warning they want you to be packed have everything you need all of your necessities, your pets, your medication, your emergency documents all of that should be in one place so if you get in or you can go ahead and leave now were checking out another neighborhood here once again highlighted in yellow that is under a special Evacuation Order your major routes are los alamos road highway 12 the air is are also pointing to calistoga road. Those are your major evacuation routes for the neighborhood thats been impacted if you live north east in the northeast santa rosa area, check out the stretch that we have highlighted for you we can see folks are being impacted on a sea tow. Along middle rincon road calistoga road theyre saying that you can use highway 12 to get out of that neighborhood Fountain Grove parkway is available for you as well montgomery drive and also mission. Those are your major exit routes as we move around were checking out another neighborhood, this is the oakmont area north Oakmont North which is right next to highway 12 these fires are burning very close to highway 12 by the way this is why theyre telling folks to go ahead and leave now. So this is a neighborhood thats impacted by white oak by fairfield ride stone bridge drive impacted oakmont drive as valley oaks and once again your major exit route for this stretch is highway 12. We continue to move the north bay Sonoma County. It is hot, it is smoky and it is windy out there are 3 things we dont need you know, yeah john trouble in the Weather Center with more on that one job actually write the 3 things that weve been pretty familiar with this year across the bay and seem to be back in full force this morning you can see the hazy skies sitting over San Francisco, although theres no fog in this view. Theres certainly a lot of wildfire smoke drifted its that way back across the region really sitting right across the core of the bay itself, although the worse of air quality is for those of you from santa rosa down through petaluma and to nevado right on the edge of those fires winds of which are pushing out of the northeast and down into the bay thats why smoke is burning that direction and thats why weve seen most of our fire growth down towards santa rosa and down into Sonoma County itself. The glass shady and boy some fires are still being fueled by plenty of dry vegetation and those strong winds that have regularly been gusting this morning into a range of 15 to 25 Miles Per Hour as you can see in our different sensors across both of these counties now what youre not seeing is those peak wind gusts that at times that are mountaintops where most of the fire activity is happening. Have gusted as high as 45 to 50 Miles Per Hour that pushes those embers forward advancing fire lines and unfortunately has resulted in the massive growth of this place now this is where the good news starts fortunately we are seeing a windy morning right now, but winds will calm down and be the first factor out of our extreme fire danger that really starts to tame by the afternoon winds much calmer and we will be seeing them remaining that way through the evening and into tomorrow so fire danger after this morning starts to go down as far as the spread of fires goes we will still see very dry humidity. This afternoon bone dry in fact with bill nevado and livermore each falling below 10 at that point you know its very dry air and very active fires can be burning so that is not an ideal for this afternoon nor are high temperatures which will be in the 90s in triple digits. Today our windiest and our hottest day concord napa and santa rosa all seeing daytime highs at or above 100 degrees today. Oakland and hayward each at 94, san jose 96 San Francisco, even 93 for areas like mission in financial districts, red flag warnings continue until 09 00pm tonight for all of the north bay and all of the inland east bay too. The rest of the bay area lit up heat advisories. After today wildfire activity will still definitely be possible as weve got a hot dry forecast ahead. But with calmer winds in gradually cooling temperatures. We are at least working your way in the right direction. After todays daytime highs fall back into the 90s on average inland by the weekend. Our warmest temperatures only in the 80s. Stay 7. 35 right now and we have got Team Coverage of the fires that are ravaging sonoma and napa counties chewing through landon 11,000 acres 17 square miles and dozens of structures, including homes. Weve seen go up we can get a count yet its still so active know. Yeah weve heard about the Evacuation Orders. This thousands of people affected 10s of thousands if you include the warning areas as well. Let alone the mandatory evacuation zone, so weve got more of this coming up Team Coverage by the way weve got kron fours will tran in napa county where the glass fire erupted, thats what started all of this and then weve got yulia 7 is and Sarah Stinson in Sonoma County following the 2 spot fires that broke out in the wake of the glass fire and it still spot fires. They are now forcing evacuations in santa rosa and homes to burn in the eastern portion of that city we have a lot more to talk about including. School closures as well Robin Winston with your Evacuation Orders and the routes that you need to know about if you want to get out of the danger area stay tuned, well be back with all of this coming up in just a minute. Local news station. If youre just joining us waking up this morning youre going to see and smell the top story out your door, the air quality in the bay area is terrible. Smokey and hot and it all is coming from these fires that are burning in the north bay again this area is on fire. Which has suffered so much over the last 3 years some of the same areas in wine country are burning right now and thousands of people are on the move chased from their homes by these flames that have already. Shoot up 11,000 acres 17 square miles and countless homes. We dont know yet. What is in this fire zone that you see on the map that has been destroyed because it is out of control the firefighters just worried about trying to put these flames out yeah and dont forget to the forces up there still battling the lnu complex fires which are so 98 contained out by clear lake and so this is on top of all of that the fire of the 3 that you see there the fire thats to the north thats the glass fire. The one that started all of this early yesterday and the winds overnight drove the embers high into the air and to the lower left portion of your screen which sparked those 2 other fires. One of them being the shady fire. Thats the one higher up of those 2 and thats the one thats been burning in and around the area of east santa rosa has been forcing thousands to flee their homes as weve seen e
