He says people are doing a lot better. That is why the malls the gyms that neil places they are open not just in Alameda County but also in Solano County. You can also go into restaurants also limited capacity, its not like what we saw before prepandemic ive been to the malls in certain areas, they will still keep you outside just to make sure the individual stores are not full of people so you dont be surprised theres a line and then for every 2 people that walk out you and your family can walk in but the bottom line is james darya were one step closer to getting back to normal or should i say a new normal well talk to people this morning. High pressure is going to build back in eventually in this forecast and it is eventually going to result in a switch up in our wind direction which for the past few days has been right from the coast into the bay natures a c keeping us nice and cool the past few days. We have just the opposite occurring as we move into saturday sunday and monday hot and dry air from our inland valleys will be pulled out to the coast. That results in hot temperatures and an increase in fire danger too for the east bay from saturday through monday will be under fire weather watch is likely to become red flag warnings. Winds in these areas gusting as high as 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour. All of Solano County will be affected and then much of our upper elevations of sonoma napa and marin counties so increased fire danger in the days to come if you have with the weekend plans please be very mindful of that as you do venture outside as for today though were keeping the good stuff around for a couple more days and that does include this afternoon, 60s and 70s for todays daytime highs millbrae back to 76 degrees while looking at 70s to 80s further south on the peninsula, south bay temperatures upper 70s to low 80s for you to san jose 80 degrees today Union City Hayward fremont all 70s while 80s from the tri valley through conquered eventually up into the north bay, no 90s just yet and we are certainly thankful for that because we have plenty of them and its just days away from now tomorrow and friday keep good weather around for a few more days even a little bit cooler than today is about to be then come saturday offshore winds begin to pull that hot dry air our direction that means by sunday and monday our inland areas will be upper 90s to low triple digits and even some 90s right along the bay. It wont just be hot, but its going to be very dry and also very windy, typical situation for this time of year when you do see fire danger on the rise in just in time for the weekend too so enjoy the next few days and then do some very safe and hopefully nice and cool activities come the weekend. Because there are other things that are in the county guidelines that are still prohibited right indoor gatherings for example and from my perspective if people cant gather indoors than it doesnt make a lot of sense to put 30 kids in a classroom together which seems similar to an indoor gathering. 28,000 students attend classes in the San Jose Unified School district in the district says that theyre not yet ready to regularly test all students for covid19. It is rather clear out there this morning and for that reason its a little cooler too well have more on the forecast with john coming up. I 45 right now and we are checking out the weather talking about the timing of the call down the warmup the things were going to win over the next 4 days so were going to feel like death valley again i know were done with the heat at least for a couple of days but not completely done with that as you know for the weekend ahead things are going to be getting hot yet again. Golden gate bridge is Crystal Clear this morning big change from yesterday and we have good air quality yet again across the board you can see that showing up here all our sensors reporting those good conditions this morning as for what we can expect later on today were going to continue to see a nice coastal breeze which is going to keep things warm but seasonably warm and a High Pressure ridge building in later in this forecast is going to reverse is coastal breeze in the days to come resulting in what will be an offshore comes saturday sunday and monday this means hot dry air from our inland valleys going to be pulled out to the coast and along with that fire danger is going to be on the rise inland valleys will be under red flag warning starting saturday on into monday right now. They are fire weather watch is likely to become those warnings. The reason here its not just going to be hot but winds gusting well in excess of 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour for many of these inland areas Solano County included in the upper elevations of marine sonoma and napa counties also affected by this heightened fire danger come saturday sunday monday on into early next week. So that means enjoy today as much as possible before we start to see those toasty conditions returning. Today well be back in the 60s up the coast, well 70s for most bayside areas. And you guessed it more 80s for our inland areas which is not much different. Then where we have it daytime highs will be just a couple of degrees warmer today, youll notice it in concord up to 88 degrees. Well oakland a little warmer as well up to 76, lots of sunshine out start and lots of sunshine into the afternoon will help daytime highs to become just a touch warmer than what we had after your great morning yesterday thursday and friday keeping the good stuff around and then come saturday sunday and monday and these are the days weve been talking about work, its especially hot, very dry and very windy says when the fire danger increases especially sunday and monday daytime highs all the way up into the 90s even right alongside the bay. Thank you john lets check in on the traffic is picking up in some spots all start off with 6 ad the trip through walnut creek were checking out traffic northbound and southbound on 6 ad and its looking good for both directions between the 2. 42 split and the 24 split and then between wannacry ken the 6 85 80 split in dublin. Its finds another problems for 6. 80 so far the line is growing at the bay bridge toll plaza folks rolling into the city getting stuck and some traffic here from west grand. But its only 12 minutes to make it and so thats a really good drive time. We are trouble free across the golden gate, no problems into or out of San Francisco. Its been nice and quiet throughout the morning so 18 minutes rolling in and old hot spots still wrapping up 8 80 north at the youre right lane blocked, i was a major crash that blocked all lanes but now only the right lane is blocked so a little slow there leaving Fremont Union city on the hayward side we have some road work northbound at industrial thats the same direction as the crash. So just a couple of pockets of slow traffic passing the and then again passing that Road Construction at industrial the rest of the trip on the nimitz is looking really good darya back to you, thanks a lot of 5 48 lawmakers in washington have reached a deal to avoid a government shutdown. Were now 41 days away from the november election President Trump says that he is confident in winning his second term we have joe donlon now he sat down with the president to talk about his key decisions ahead of november. You know who is right now i have a pretty good idea havent made a final decision but pretty good idea starting with the Supreme Court opening the president said he will announce his nominee saturday as for the upcoming election. He said his strategy to get to a second term is to focus on his opponent. Well number one i think you have to convince people that joe biden you know hes not hes not fit for the position. Its not you can handle this position. He couldnt do it in prime time let alone now as the United States passes 200,000 deaths from the coronavirus we asked the president if theres anything he would have done differently early on in the pandemic the only thing ive done poorly is the Public Relations but thats because of a fake press, the press is fake.
