And nationally since it was painted in july copper trader harvey live with more on what we know about the story this morning brianna. Good morning, well city Officials Say this is going to be part of a larger city wide project. I spoke to people out here some people who were happy that the mural is here some people not so much blood as you can see this morning. This is what the new year looks like now nowhere near what it looked like when they first painted over the mural used to be yellow. Now its white for the most part but as you might remember the black lives matter mural was painted over home july when a group of about a 100 volunteers went to the city this was to the local black lives matter chapter out here. And this is after a white power flyers were found on a sidewalk nearby from here after that he had several incidents taking place surrounding the mural including the one that garnered National Attention were going to show you that one right now. So you can see here a man and a woman who defaced it with paint this is actually the same day that it was created. Now the city says the local black lives matter group has asked for permission to repaint it a few times and they were denied, but whats next in the whole process of them yearold the city Officials Say the next step says that the paving project its going to help them transition from paint and pavement to policy and procedure. So basically what that means is city officials are going to be creating a if there are local groups who want to paint murals or different pieces of artwork outside theyre going to have a process where they can go to the city. I can ask for approval show them what the project will consist of and then the city will either approve it or disapprove this is supposed to happen in the coming weeks, we know that in early october is when theyre going to be painting over the mural but you know there was so much contests like you mentioned with people about it and the originally going not so interested to see what local residents are going to say now that the city is going to be painting over it, but were going to be following this story because theres a lot of conversation surrounding the mural for now reporting out here martinez reyna harvey kron 4 news all right, thank you very much for the update right now 7 04 right now in the north bay Health Officials are dealing with covid outbreaks at several. And then that means youll take up a bad for a possible covid19 patients they always want to make sure that there are plenty beds ready to go especially come winter time when a lot of people might come down with coronavirus and the flu. So thats why theyre saying get your flu shot prevent yourself from getting severely sick. The good part is its free. You dont even have to go out of your way in fact the only thing out of your way is stepping out of your car. If youre driving your car you can drive your gate dm park and walk right up to the expo and get a flu shot you dont need an appointment this is not. A vaccine against covid. The flu is not related to covid. You will not get covid by getting the flu vaccine. And it cant hurt i all roads lead to the covid this year right this has nothing to do with covid in a way but they want to make sure the beds are free for Covid Patients right and by the way they dont care about immigration status you to make an appointment. Just come on down if you dont even have a car just walk up get your shot walk away and then hold your or theyre always a little painful right off the bat then i think youre good to go such a baby all right, thanks a lot. This is all just what it looks like the smoky air. Its from the creek fire which is nearby, but it looks like its right there. The air quality in the park is projected to be unhealthy and hazardous in the coming days. And its not the first time in a semi has been closed the park had to close in march because of covid.
