Move because of evacuations im darya folsom and im James Fletcher lets get right to the map lay out the scenario that were seeing this morning with fires burning down near santa cruz in eastern Contra Costa County out there near mount diablo in a course in the north bay as were seeing here the live pictures at a salon a county with the fire that is now prompting evacuations in fact a bill this morning, lets go live to will tran very close to one of the fire lines that they are working on trying to keep people out and people safe as we see properties go up in flames. Well. Were talking about farmland thats going up in flames right now and this one is getting a little too dangerous even for us and we want to bring you to the scene it is chewing up the land its marching down closer and closer to in the intersection them at Pleasant Valley road and sherry glen road. And you can clearly see it is going unimpeded because theyre not being stopped by the firefighters at all they have other things to care about especially since its really not causing any destruction to structures. But land let me i just notice an eerie sight you only can you walk with me we want to show you whats going on so it is intense as far as the heat at this location. Oh my goodness look at this looks like a farmer on his tractor or Something Like that could hear him maybe you can make it out it looks like hes on his john deere going through that location so i dont know what hes doing its simply not worth it but hopefully made out somebody off in the distance right there its too smoky and he is going through there trying to clear up some land here as well well walk here. You can see this fire is happening underneath some power lines look at this james darya look at the sunrise. It is right behind all that smoke, so it is an orange sun this morning. Thats just to show you just how bad the situation is you know this is going to leave the area or let me see when i can go on we are here we go look at this we couldnt see that farmer but you said so because you youre very close to the flames and the smoke. Oh there we go, hes got a b crazy. Hes got they told people its not worth it will thats why theyre not moving in because they said its not worth it if its not going to kill somebody were just happy to save lives. Hes risking his life right now. Look at that hes using. Using his bulldozer operator told those are yeah its a bulldozer name and hes picking up. Pieces of the land to drop it on the flames its almost like dont talk about my opinion and throwing it out a graph thats coming up in full of water, its just its like oh my goodness, what if is gas tank caught up in just burst so many years lauren i dont know what hes doing now. So many semi i dont want to show anything horrific on Live Television but he is thats a daredevil hes not thats why theyre not stopping him because obviously they dont want to risk their lives as well which is why we want to show you look at this this is intersection right here duryea james. The flashing lights youve probably noticed theyre not moving any closer that is where they are weve seen people coming up and down and i know standard practices is this they will tell them youre on your own im telling you not to go beyond here, but im not going to arrest you im sure right. But if anything should happen to you just so you know we have other responsibilities, so theyre not moving at all at that particular checkpoint. This particular man here as well id love to yell out of him, but im sure you could not hear me now it looks like hes adjusting it home and its like well so miles its like peta vermilion committed to you know with a hose is crazy. This is one of the crazier things i have seen hes trying to put out some fires that really are in the middle of nowhere as far as his lot is concerned so i dont know what he is really doing what he turned off his engine. Let me see if i could talk to skews me sir. Excuse me sir. You want to get youre talking to somebody you have a baby has gone well over our land was nothing in particular farm. He has he has a beef farm so maybe hes trying to stop it from moving towards be farm. But nonetheless i mean the thats gasoline thats not you could go up in flames and excuse me sir. Now i guess not hear me so the bottom line is you can see people desperate to do whatever they possibly can even risking their lives at storyahead is bright orange let me see if i could stop this. Police officer here let me see if i can tell him whats going on and see it is going to do anything about that this guy you see back and talk to them, i know when it is made to evacuate. The sheriff accurate. There is there is a man right there on his bulldozer i know theres nothing you probably can do, but thats were showing this on Live Television thats pretty crazy. It was there anything you can do or he just on his own on his own he said hes on his own he chose to stay there just heard and theyre not hes not even go going over there to say youre not get out of here so i made him aware of what the situation and he took a break and hes back as well wow that is because not long here have eyes. So he clearly looked over to the right side james and darya and hes keep going. I mean during a james you and i all of us have different decades of news, i dont think ive ever seen anything like this in the middle of a fire a lot just. Coming up in flames, hes out there with his bulldozer just worrying about that particular section. Yes, it looks like those folks that you know stand out. With the garden hose trying to protect their house, you know they feel really connected to the property its their business if theyre like the officer said theyre risking their own lives are putting their own lives in their hands when they do that what did you say will does the couple guys told you what happened when they drove in because they just wanted to check on property tell us about that those 2 guys that were looking at a one of the guys at a farm out there. Yes he went out there because he knows theres some family members that live in that particular stretch. Down the road there and it looks like they evacuated so he took it upon himself to go out there and check on his familys home, it looks like his familys home is ok not his own because he lives. Well like in this new coffee you can see the smoke here as well its gotten worse. He went over there to check on his familys home. You know i got to get historian james tires getting too close to rbs we yeah go okay alright, i get a ship that took camera down that taken a position please well say well let him relocate in the meantime, lets jump to another part. Of the north they want to go to Sonoma County where we have proper Sarah Stinson shes been also moving around to various locations, lets connect with her now and find out. With is like in her section of Sonoma County sheriff are you with us. James darya and you know weve been seeing this glow coming from afar weve been looking at that image all morning long and finally at where that glow has been coming from you can see driving northbound on one oh one all the way from santa rosa north to healdsburg and windsor and now im here in guerneville right on sweet water springs road. You can see behind me what was all burning charred land all here and the fires are still burning are deep in that terrain behind me and its very steep terrain, one of the cal Fire Fighters told me that theyre having to fight fire with fire mizzou men here because its hard to get into the steep terrain. Already firefighters have been working all night long as some are on a different some just started a new shift here. But we know that some structures have burned. This whole area has been evacuated and so you know cause missing from driveways of driving up this narrow narrow road. And fire crews will continue to fight this fire sometimes a zoom into fires in the in the distance and you still cant even see the flames barely just because of. How smoky it is you can see for example right in front of me see those flames right there active. And again this fire is burning actively 2 different fires burning in Sonoma County. And we know that overall across sonoma and napa county. Theres been a total of 46,000 acres that have burned still 0 contained where im at right now is about 1500 acres and has burned and 0 contained, we know that you know. Hundreds 100s of firefighters are out here from all over trying to get this under control because over sonoma and napa counties theres about 1900 structures that are threatened right now, we know already 50 have been destroyed so this fire moving rapidly. Now well looks like they have this area mainly on control under control. Its because the wind has really died down but one of the cal Fire Fighters just told me that they expect around 3 oclock today there to be some intense west winds that come through here so they fully expect this to reignite and maybe even spread they want to stop this fire from spreading into guerneville getting to guerneville would is just this way down this road Sweetwater Springs road. And its very close so thats why theyve evacuated a lot of this area we know the Granville School district has said even though were social Distance Learning for Distance Learning at home. A school is canceled today they want to make sure people concentrate on evacuating. And right now im just looking theres ash falling from the sky smoke very thick, so if you have been notified to evacuate. Definitely leave the area. It is time because they are doing everything they can from preventing it from spreading. But we just dont know what those winds it could be a dangerous situation you guys for now send it back to in the studio. All right, thanks. A lot sarah. An ok from here lets continue our team coverage. We have fires burning also in san mateo and santa cruz counties this morning. A fire thats grown in size overnight reyna harvey is on the scene and rainy were talking about the crews coordinating behind you whats going on right now. Right so many of those cruise darya and james have handed out were going to show you are in Scotts Valley right now its about a town of 11,000 people in currently right here this is where youre seeing multiple agencies, including the Sheriffs Office here youre seen a the Fire Department cal fire and this is where theyre all meeting to have a different meetings to recount how theyre going to tack each of the fires that are out here because remember there are several them in this area spread out we know the biggest concern for a lot of the firefighters here is that this is a 0 containment currently so theyre trying to battle this fire thousands of residents about 22,000 people have been evacuated so far so many of the First Responders that you see here a lot of them sitting down in the area. A lot of them have been working double shifts around the clock. So many of them camping out here you see they have this and made into a makeshift area where they can have meetings and planned action moves for the day and they can also grab a meal. Theyve been out here throughout the morning and theyre going to plan to here for the next few days, especially with the fire as it continues to grow in size. Now again, we know they worked many hours out here and they continue to have to work, but we also know that 3 firefighters have been injured in all of this. No civilian injuries to report so far but again this where the majority of the First Responders are meeting every morning and throughout the day just to grab a meal and plan how theyre going to try to get a handle on these fires dorian james all right, thanks a lot of rain from the a coordinating efforts there were talking about how we need actual mutual aid of possible, but. The rest of the state is having problems too and it looks like the weathers going to get worse for them. Yeah, john. Yet today were dry were hot and it will be increasingly windy come the afternoon to you can see the impact of smoke across the bay area from berkeley here that smoke visible in the distance thats not cloud cover but rather just that the haze from the fires we do have a red flag warning in effect for portions of Solano County including vacaville, one of our wind your spots today is actually going to be right there at the western edge of the Central Valley where were going to see winds pushing down right along the Eastern Front of the coast orange thats going help to result in the spread of this fire and these are going to be very dry winds to towards the interior of the bay, so this is an area that meteorologist lee is going to be a problem areas far as fighting this fire goes. You actually see that winds are directly from the northwest right now around out list thats at the western flank of this fire, ive been consistent throughout the morning at around 10 to 15 miles per hour. This is one of the reasons that the fired rapidly grew to the south into the east so much approaching areas like a vacaville where as having its impact this morning in county a little closer to the coast, multiple blazes both in marine and sonoma counties not spreading due to winds right now necessarily but winds will pick up into the afternoon for these coastal areas that is also potentially going to have an impact on the spread of this fire burning right at the line of san mateo and santa cruz counties in the Santa Cruz Mountains further south in the bay. Lets get to temperatures because that is another factor right here that is going to be impacting all of us, but also those fires 60s 70s and 80s even in pittsburgh right now for your current temperatures so were starting off this morning on the warm side were going to be finishing the day really hot yet again Still Holding on to triple digits. Morgan hill at a 100 degrees conquered antioch at one o 3, one 02. The 85 while now, but in livermore both at 98 degrees today, ive got plenty more coverage as far as what weather impacts could be seen today as well as all the details on fire all right, we are back time now a 17 and we have some new information to share with you this morning, not only we have these live pictures showing us the smoke as its coming up from the fires burning there in Solano County. But we also have a new map. That was just recently released by the National Weather their Sacramento Office and its a more detailed look at where the fires burning currently thats lake various on the top of the page you can see where vacaville is located and now we see looks like the burn area has not only a burn its way down towards eastern sections of western sections of vacaville, but now also potentially some of the northern portions of town as well and thats prompting some local officials to wonder if perhaps maybe more Evacuation Orders or perhaps necessary this morning and they already told thousands be able to get out. Weve also had reports of scores structures. Being burned, lets see if we get a better handle on whats going on in vacaville. Weve got the fire chief on the phone now Kris Concepcion can you hear us. If they cant okay what it what is the status as far as evacuations and homes burned at this point. Though a hardback edition, the we just called for a new era accusation and that the Browns Valley area for 30. So that everything from the northern border of our and west of ground valley road. All the way down to a markham across the feral and that includes the vine. Includes by street as well as the vines stand. So now were up to about 4,004 4500 homes that are threatened within the city. Does not want to make it perfectly clear there have there have been no homes. Within city limits that have burned within city limits now i did hear about up to 50 structures. That have been damaged or destroyed or any of those in the hills above vacaville or where those. Knows i i dont i dont have information on that cannot actually shooting for the senior back though okay. But uh i have heard of that but ah, but ah nothing within city one. Its just that there are so many fires burning in this thing is so huge. When you went to bed you might have thought its not going to get to vacaville. You know what youre absolutely we i got a call from the merger applications Oakland County a for much better and they said if i threatened in seoul. Ready and then i got phone call that i really wasnt it spread very quickly quicker than we saw. The firebomb very hard against the edges of our city. And continue to do so our firefighters been out there all night. Thank the fire and actually keeping out of their homes as well as our Law Enforcement officers are going door to door try to get people out of their homes safely and meantime there are people that are going in will tran our reporter i dont know if you see them out there along the. First evacuation line and he is stopped a truck on its way out in a couple of guys who said they went to their farm was burned down. And then right before our eyes, a guy with a the bulldozer just a little tractor sized thing is bulldozing a fire line but thank you what can he do against at. It is it firefighting is you have the highly trained to do firefighting so we discourage anyone from doing is taking the helm kind of actions. I want to come back very dangerous and thats how people get hurt so were acting in one we and were doing the best we can for our cal fire resources and all the other resources that are on fire. Doing everything they can to protect homes within city back though as well around the area. But we want people to get out safely. So instead of trying to protect your property on your own. That is that to the trained professionals and get out safely. Do you need any extra extra support either on the ground from the air because we understand that a lot of this areas hard access. And there werent enough choppers. Well i cant speak to that only cared like that i might add working or work were working as part of a of the incident and cal fires got incident command, yeah as far as resources. That thats up to them that we realize that theyre doing the best they can would what resources they have and were doing the same thing here in the city doing best we can to protect our city with the resources that we have but the latest that we had so you got a new evacuation zone, the first zone was blue ridge road. Vacaville north the cherry glen road highway one 28 this is all wear. We were station this morning. We saw people you know still going in and coming out and then you add to that just again for people in that area. The area to the north and the west of Browns Valley. In fact, yeah there that dont get it that if the northeast part of our our of our state not the Browns Valley area, okay and so they evacuated zone the new accusations own the northern border of the city. West. Browns valley road down to across the sterile north of that and then that includes and then that high into the rest of the evacuation area that we had originally called in the city and that new evacuation area. Also includes. It includes a vine street as well done by the states. But if youve got now, you said a total of 4,500. Was at people or structures. 4,000 actually between that between 4,004 to 500 home homes. Ok, so so those are holmesville of maybe families and thats thousands of people. And weve got covid and where theyre going to go right so i know that youre going to be setting up evacuation areas for them but these people are on the move to wherever they can right now. Because of yeah because of covid we have had to set up more evacuation Evacuation Centers than we normally do. Though we have a the accusations entered their Community Centers for the city and we have a Glass Community center. We this case a center that is under the street we also mcbride senior center. And out of the School District has given us a couple of their star schools, the biggest area. Where people can go is to a wealthy with high school which is on the other side of town. High school ok. All right, well add those new Evacuation Centers as well 3 new evacuations energy that has spread them out because of covid thanks so much for giving us the update. Youre quite welcome. I was chief chris. Conception of the without the valley of vacaville Fire Department and again well have much more on this and were going to continue to repeat this new information for you throughout the morning so stay with us but in summary weve got new areas of vacaville under Evacuation Orders, the northeast section of town. Everything west of Browns Valley road. Youre being notified now that you need to prepare to evacuate as the fire is now approaching that section of vacaville welcome back it is 8. 30 right now and we want to take a live look at the smoke that is coming from the l a new lightning complex fires that moved in and moved on overnight forcing more evacuations in vacaville. Will tran has been there live all morning long. Well have to move locations because he was so close to the fire line there and the evacuation area that was the first evacuation area. And i think we we got him live now again yet will. And you saw that guy with a bulldozer which was not advisable try to fight this fire by himself. Where you now. I actually moved down the road some about a quarter mile from the last time you saw me if you watch my live shot at 8 oclock actually turned and pivoted because i was so focused on the man with a bulldozer that i turned and saw how close the flames are getting to our vehicles it was only like maybe 3 yards from my front bumper and i said we have to go and so we moved were at a safer location. You can see cal fire there. They dont want to go on camera they say theyre not authorized, but you can clearly see theyre working their phones are looking at there maps because this is almost their boots on the ground telling central command, whats happening here as well were on Pleasants Valley road and right now its a bit its not as busy as what we saw say at 7 oclock most of the evacuees are long gone some are returning, however and theyve been told me just did a live interview with the vacaville Fire Department. Theyre on their own theyre not being told to stop i mean theyre saying if anything should happen were not going to rush in to help you out. But you can clearly see just to show you its moving along the ridgeline here its were surrounded by fire by the way. But its moving along here its dangerously close in that shot there to the power lines, those towers as well but according to pg and e who i tracked down live on television they said that most of the lines if not all of the lines have been de energized. This yes, it looks like farmland, but there are some incredibly Beautiful Homes here james and darya look at that home right there its just sitting there. In the path the line of fire. No pun intended. But thats right there is moving closer and closer but you can clearly see all those cars still parked in the parking lot the driveway so they have chosen the stay at that location. We dont see them outside with their. Lawn of their hoses or Something Like that to do it on their own but theyre clearly inside would about 6 cars parked right in front. It is extremely dry at this area, well move over here and you can see on that on the right side screen theres a home right there thats very in danger as well and the hillside all smoky. The sun is coming up and one thing that i do want to mention. Dr. Dre its getting hotter. Every time you come back out to me and its not just the fire is just the heats that we would normally get if we didnt even get the fire. So thats not making things any better the breathing the heat the embers flying around and this is so twentytwenty what we saw earlier with a guy with a bulldozer. I ive learned that hes a beekeeper and hes doing his best to try to put out the flames. But a lot of the bees have escaped so theyre actually flying around all of us at this time a couple of these actually landed on my hand, so yeah you can get more twentytwenty than that i mean just goes from bad to worse right now it looks like at this particular area. This is a Pleasant Valley road by glen road. Just about a couple of miles off of the freeway of 80 and right now most of the evacuees have already been gone that lady i try to talk to a little bit earlier who came back with her elderly mom yeah for the best team in this direction right i have not seen her since so maybe she left in a different direction or she still in there. But she went back there after fleeing with her elderly mom at midnight james and darya yeah they grabbed all of their things that they wanted except their medication. Yeah, and you and we talked to officials this morning. Well, and they said dont get the medication on your own. They also expanded since we checked in with you the Evacuation Orders announced 4,500 different homes that thousands of people and will the heat. 45 Million People right now across the whole west are under a heat advisory, including obviously here. In the bay area, including 94 here in the bay area. You know its true and in the fires, i mean its already hot just standing next to the fire and a lot of the fire here is on hillside. So ive done is story a couple of days ago, were out in brentwood. Theyre telling their firefighters be careful because you dont get light headed and fall down and hurt yourself where the firefighters had to rescue as well so again it goes from bad to worse and hopefully not fatal because were not hearing of any injuries or any fatalities at this time, but that he obviously not making things any better you can clearly see theres pg and e coordinating with cal fire on where to go as well so their part of the package the Response Team so theyre theyre hes looking over the shoulder of cal fire fighter and trying to find out exactly where to go in the meantime its theyre not even focusing on the fire. Theyre just looking at the big picture because you only if you can move the camera over there to the right side of your screen. I just noticed new patches of land. Right at the base of the hill that has caught on fire as well so its moving closer and closer in my direction more fire trucks are heading here look at this. Look at this james darya more fire trucks are heading here for relief so theyre throwing as much as they possibly can and you know this and i know this at some point all of california will be on fire so they will have to prioritize resources and thats going to be difficult as well thats the next layer of our coverage now back to you yeah, they said there any more shoppers to and southlands having trouble thanks a lot. Well. Yeah absolutely wheels at the site of one of the fires are tracking in the north bay we also have fires burning elsewhere in Sonoma County to all part of that large. Lmu a lightning complex of fires, so lets get to Sarah Stinson now last check she was up near guerneville well see if you still there whats changed sarah. Hey there james yeah, its not only gunsmoke ear appear above guerneville its also gotten harder out here conditions only going to get tougher for firefighters up here trying to battle these fires across Sonoma County. We know theres 2 fires. Let me get behind the camera second show you i mean really looking at a wall of smoke here but ill zoom into the fire even though theres a fire there you can barely see it because of that heavy smoke, i think you can see that glowing us of the fire right there. Firefighters are using fire to fight fire. Yes, you heard me correctly thats to create a fire line. So that the fire doesnt continue burning down turn towards guerneville im standing right now on sweet water springs road. This is a very very remote area. It takes a very narrow road to get here. I havent seen a ton of structures threatened but i know somewhere along this road. They were working to save a winery, theyre working to save a home. But very tough terrain and as you can see. This is where the fire was burning all morning long we were seeing from one oh one. But we couldnt figure out how to get here so now were here. You can see theres another fired on their resume in down there. A lot of charred land where theyve done already a lot of work overnight. And now were seeing some hot spots that theyre going to have to continue to work on but where im standing against we water springs road mcrae ridge road and the fire is still raging. I mean theyre working hard theyre working tirelessly to do this. We know across sonoma and napa county over 46,000 acres have burned. Still containment at 0 . They say that this today around 3 oclock they expect some winds to pick up some west winds, were very far west. And they expect that to be challenging and expected to maybe pick back up so its going to be a day of on known, we know that cal fire has a press conference about the l a new lightning complex incident, theyre going to be talking at 9 oclock online. So hopefully we can learn a bit more about where they expect this fire to continue to rage. But at least in Sonoma County, we know at least over 1500 acres have burned. And it continues to rage out to see more flames down here a lemon. You can see the smokiness the haziness and those flames, i mean its really hard to show you because of how thick the smoke is daryn james, i mean can you believe how thick this is theres ash coming from the sky. This is whats causing a Ripple Effect across the bay area down and killed from santa rosa. Wenys are and if you got that mandatory Evacuation Order its time to go if you havent already because they want people to take this seriously because this is unpredictable winds coming today. All right, thanks a lot there were actually and talk more about the the winds because we how hot we have dry and the winds are really going to be picking up yeah john in the Weather Center with that jobs actually weve been pretty calm so far but exactly right winds will be picking up this afternoon. Right along the coastline as a coastal breeze really kicks into gear. The interior also going to be seeing some very strong Winds Continuing to so this is a look outside at berkeley right now little clearer than where Sarah Standing up in Sonoma County. But you do definitely see that smoke hovering across the rest of the bay area. We are currently under red flag warning for portions of Solano County notably vacaville this is our windy a spot in the bay right now we have some very low humidity combined with winds gusting as high as 30 miles per hour. Directly out of the north northwest pushing through the eastern side of the Coastal Range and the very western edge of the Central Valley that is where the hennessy fire did most of its growth last night and you can see the steady winds continue both in spanish flag as well as out atlas right out of the north northwest right here that fire originally closer to Lake Berryessa up in napa county just blew further south into Solano County last night now obviously having resulted in so much loss down in the western portions of vacaville and theres still so much concern over there as those winds continue a little closer to the coast things may be calm right now but winds will pick up into the afternoon today as a coastal breeze really kicks into gear. The good thing about that breeze its going to be a cooler breeze and what were seeing in the interior obviously any wind is not necessarily good news when battling a fire though youll see that same impact further south down towards the edge of santa cruz and san mateo counties where next conflict pilots is burning up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, winds picking up eventually on into the afternoon mostly from the west as far as temperatures go were already off to a warm start dublin in concord mid 70s, pittsburgh, mid 80s, right now fairfield at 75 currently berkley also at 74. So right now we are warm were only getting warmer this afternoon very dry again for inland areas. Concord antioch to your hotter spots in the triple digits below 85 napa all the way up to 98 degrees today of course more details all welcome back 8. 44 right now continuing our breaking news which is. Mostly focused right now on the fire thats moving towards vacaville, even though there are more than 2 dozen fires burning around the bay area, this is the worst. As far as threatening people and in fact weve heard some reports that there is a Mobile Home Park to burn up. That area not the in vacaville proper. We talked to the fire chief and he said they havent lost any homes in the actual town, but its on the outskirts, its the northern part of vacaville that this fire is moving in on. And you can see the updated map here showing you that section of vacaville thats under this new Evacuation Order are going to break down and try to explain this in his best details we can to give you the information you need in just a moment. Dozens of fires have raging around the bay area and they say the winds are going to pick up now which is not necessarily good news. Weve got john triple more on that. Yeah thats not the thing you want to hear weve already got the low humidity. The high heat that weve been dealing with for days. Now winds going to be picking up this is a look at the flag right there at the golden gate bridge, fairly calm right now increased seabreeze into the afternoon though will cool things off. But obviously with the sea breeze there you go winds picking up from the west near the coast and for inland areas right around the hennessy fire in Solano County from the north northwest and this will be the dry wind that has so many concerned up there in Solano County and weve seen that steady wind already during overnight hours. Thats one of the reasons this fire that was really just right up around Lake Berryessa exploded overnight into the morning further to the south into Solano County now having that impact on vacaville spanish flatten atlas peak, you can see here winds from the northwest and it has been steady all morning long not really showing sign of any slowing down yet in fact forecasted to be breezy all the way through tomorrow morning at the coast. It may be calm right now sonoma and marin county currently both have fires blazing. These areas may be calm for the moment, but that sea breeze will kick up this afternoon will be the same case and both santa cruz and san mateo counties where that complex is burning right on the county line right there already seeing some stronger winds there along the coastline so lets get a look at future cast of wind gusts as i mentioned already fairly breezy up in the northern part of the bay area. Winds pick up across the region come this afternoon this is at one 15 pm notice winds picking up a little closer to the coast, Half Moon Bay sandra fell both seeing breezier conditions and then into the evening tonight, this is 05 30pm starting to see those wind gusts getting closer to the 20 mile per hour range and kicking up in the overnight hours tonight so thats what were watching so closely. A breezy evening on tap even if it is a coastal breeze in some cases, not necessarily ideal conditions with High Pressure in place that means we stay hot, but also some sinking air so its going to push all that smoke down into the bay and result in that hayes continuously across the bay area making for some really poor air quality stay indoors as much as possible the day, 60s and 70s for San Francisco as well as other coastal spots elsewhere in the bay area, its back to the 80s the 90s and yes, even the triple digits for yet another day were still under excessive heat warnings for much of the bay area, san jose at 94 for the high today 80s from fremont up their hayward while upper 90s in Pleasanton Livermore dublin, triple digits remain in danville walnut creek unconquered while oakland at 83 degrees for the high today, north bay temperatures hot it is dry and it will be windy vacaville 98 degrees again a steady wind from the north will continue and very low humidity out there towards the interior of the bay. Bill at a 100 degrees today santa rosa 96 sandra fell at 94. James all right john thank you very much and again want to share with everybody. The latest breaking news this morning out of vacaville where we do have Evacuation Orders in place and theyre growing. As the fire continues to grow, heres a live. Look from some of our remote cameras there high atop some of the communication. Towers that we have on those peaks this one sponsored by pg news you can see in the use these to gauge fire progression when the wildfire season happens and we can certainly see the smoke in the air and every now and then these cameras give us a look at some of the fire the actual flames as they begin to tear through the hillsides. What happened overnight was it grew from the area of Lake Berryessa down to the south and to the east which is that new area in red that you see here in this map that dark area of red is the new bern area and you can see how dangerously close. It has come now to vacaville towards the bottom of the image and for that reason now that the filth Fire Department and the Police Department has issued new Evacuation Orders theyve expanded them pryor west of orchard avenue had to evacuate and around foothill and south along alamo drive. Well now theyve expanded that so its basically the northeast sector, the northwest section of vacaville from Browns Valley road west. All those communities now are being advised to evacuate or at least at the very least prepare to evacuate because the call may come with very little notice. If this fire continues to progress the way it has they say thats about the fire chief told us that 4,500 homes that are under Evacuation Orders right now thats thousands of people on the move so. Because of covid they have even more Evacuation Centers for them to go to because of social distancing they dont want you know more trouble from lot of things exacerbating this problem between the weather and the pandemic you know, and the heat thats a big problem and then weve got problems statewide so resources are fanned well be back with more hey, my twitter is blowing up dear jack box, bring back the spicy chicken strips, still waiting for the spicy chicken strips, so many about spicy chicken strips. Welcome back its a 55 now back to our breaking news, which is the devastation being caused by a fire that is burning towards vacaville. We know that its already been wiping out homes, ive seen some at least one hilltop home off of the English Hills road that one is completely burned to the ground. You look at live reports and neighbors that are posting pictures of from their windows they can see just that the fire line as it approaches the town we talked to the fire chief live on our air and he says theyre doing everything they can to keep this thing at bay. But it is closing and because really was whipped up overnight and weve got more winds that are expected later on today. Yeah, those evacuation zones being expanded here in the last 45 minutes, well have the very latest information on that coming up. In just a moment, stay tuned, the kron 00 04am morning news at 9 begins in just a minute. 3 a slow news stations. A breaking news is the fire that is moving in and closing in on vacaville we already know that on the outskirts 50 structures known mainly the hill and mountainous areas on the outskirts in the western portion of the vacaville outside that area have burned down. Ranch land and people are doing their best to try to save it. But right now firefighters are more concerned about saving lives and getting people out yeah weve seen examples of people trying to save their own property weve seen ranch land with llamas and cows. Huddled together trying to stay as far away from the heat in the flames as they can affect a lot of that footage and reporting came from our very own will tran whos standing by for us, we know hes been out and and there you go weve got the herd of cattle behind you will whats the latest. Well, its funny you mention about them just moving away from the heat and the smoke because we actually moved about a quarter mile from the last time we showed you these cows and they keep moving away. But apparently at some point james and darya theres no way to run because look at off in the distance. The fire is moving down the hill there its getting closer and closer to those power lines, the power poles and theyre being closely watched by the Fire Department but right now its not their top priority. And that fire look at that its turned the top of that hillside black theres a home right there thats in the past right now its ok it does not look like the people inside evacuated because i see about 4 or 5 cars in front of that house were on Pleasant Valley road. Its a barren road as
