Well take a quick break coming up in the next hour, San Francisco is putting as we mentioned a hold on reopening some businesses which means that people are going to wait just a little bit longer. To get their haircuts in the city. Plus the pride parade is canceled this weekend but the celebration continues online well have details on that. Coming up in the next hour stay dont feel like wearing pants . Okay who drank all the milk . Enjoy the great taste of dunkin at home. Its being called an online ring of hate and the san jose mayor is calling for all the officers involved to be fired. Well have that story coming up. This is not a good situation that were in right now with the this dramatic uptick in number of cases as well as hospitalizations. The number of coronavirus cases are on the rise in california and plans to reopen more businesses here in the bay area are put on hold. This is not the weekend for it would be lovely this is the 50th anniversary of pride and we wish we could be turned into the Biggest Party in San Francisco street cannot to it. Cases are on the rise. This weekend marks 50 years of pride in San Francisco, but well have to celebrate in a different way. Youre watching kron 4 morning and thanks for waking up with us on a saturday, im darya folsom and im James Fletcher hope youre doing well this morning depending on where you are to either. Gray outside or its sunny weve got john triple in the Weather Center with more on even more great today for those great spots because that fog layer is a very dense so youre not seeing anything across the bay from the north bay visibility has been an issue for some area. So if you must leave the house this morning do be expecting to run into some low visibility spots in the east bay hills as well as out along the coastline. It is nice and sunny for parts of the north bay into our inland valleys and eventually over to the south bay over san jose. Temperatures right now are either in the 50s or the 60s with san jose at 63 double in concord livermore you reach a 64 degrees a very nice start. While berkeley timber on in San Francisco, a whole lot cooler than that only in the 50s. Now for oakland, you get a good dose of sunshine later on that well bring you to 72 degrees, san jose still warm at 88 while near the coast, some cooler 60s daria. Thanks a lot john 8 oh one in the top story, the governor announcing 15 counties are now on a watch list for a coronavirus because theyre seeing cases surge. And this includes 2 bay area counties contra costa and santa clara. Right now its up to those counties to decide if they want to go into a further lockdown but the governor governor says if he has to step in he will. They are going to be convening the county supervisors and county leadership over the course of the next few days and making a determination to lead that effort at a local level. We are advising and counseling them to move and reinstitute the stay at home order. But they will move at their discretion if they or not able to come to some i am committed to intervening. This all happening. James because as weve the state has gone from say 2 and a half positivity to now over 5 positivity and some places like in in the southland that the imperial counties down by san diego. Theyve got a 23 Positivity Rate which is terrible. The governor wants that county Imperial County to reinstate its stay at home order yeah and weve been seeing this troubling trend spread. Countrywide in fact, heres a look at a map that shows us new cases in the past week compared to the previous week, so its a comparison were seeing quite the uptick were talking about california. Were seeing california now in orange here one of the 21 states that have seen cases jump anywhere from 10 to 50 . But its the states in deep red that really represent the worst of it. Those are places where new cases have jumped 50 or more and you can see here across the west were looking at places like montana idaho, nevada arizona across the south texas missouri also among those were seeing mississippi as well georgia and florida which by the way florida out and down miami theyve closed their beaches from now through the july 4th holiday fact the median age of those getting sick there has now fallen from 65 to 35. So thats pretty worrisome in florida across the north were seeing places like michigan and vermont as well seeing their cases jumped by more than 50 local leaders in these states and in the orange ones as well they are now beginning to reconsider or even reverse their reopening policies. Lets take a closer look at california and the numbers were seeing their statewide more than 206,000 cases now and more than 5800 deaths, locally the bay area seeing more than 22,000 cases and growing with the death count now at 562. And with the spike in covid cases in San Francisco, the mayor has decided to roll back plans to reopen more businesses on monday. Take a look at the progression here in San Francisco, the daily covid cases they were going down. And then restaurants reopened on june 15th. And then you can see what happened after that a spike in cases recorded just last week and now businesses that were going to open on monday salons and the like are not going to kron forcefully to call has more. Were going to have to dial it back. Were going to have to dial it back because of what we see with the data San Francisco mayor london breed striking a darker tone friday compared to the optimism she shared thursday when she noted that although covid19 cases were surging across the country. The numbers were looking good in her city just yesterday weve seen an increase in the numbers. By over a 100 new. Patients at a News Conference at zuckerberg San FranciscoGeneral Hospital and Trauma Center read stating the citys monday plans to allow hair and nail and tattoo salons barbershops zoos outdoor bars and swimming to reopen are on hold. But we dont want to happen is we dont want. This hospital. To get overwhelmed with patients Public Health director doctor grant colfax joined mayor breed at the event intended to honor and show appreciation for essential workers. He says this hospital alone has treated at least one 3rd of the citys covid19 patients nearly doubling. Of cases in the last 7 days. Were at a level learns if this continues well be in a level red over so that is why we made the recommendation to pause right now see where the data are headed. And then make a decision how to move forward next week in San Francisco. Phillipe djegal all kron 4 news and the decision to reverse the reopening plans for tomorrow in San Francisco as we said mean salons barber shops places that thought they were going to open. Or not which means suddenly they have a lot of cancellations to make. Heres. Play just about getting her down the street saying you for us, you know were a scene that were seeing in there. We are ready when the doors are open and we will be there for sure for you. But not tomorrow, not for a hair salons enough for tattoo businesses or massage parlors either. They will have to remain closed. In the north bay marine counties also feeling where delaying the reopening of some businesses because of a spike theyve seen there as well businesses that are delayed from reopening include places like hotels and gyms you see on your screen tattoo parlors nail salons Massage Services, no date has been set for when these businesses will be allowed to reopen well keep you updated as more information comes in. Meanwhile in the east bay contra costa counties evaluating whether they should allow businesses to reopen as planned Indoor Dining and gyms and bars and nail salons they were all set to reopen on july first, but now the counties trying to figure out if that timeline still applies and with 4th of july Holiday Weekend coming up. Theyre also warning people to avoid large social gatherings are worried about spread they say wear your masks if youre going to be outside. Well despite the pandemic San Francisco still celebrating 50 years of pride after the break were going to show you how you can be part of it without having to leave your home. Stay tuned. That we can be either part of the solution. Part of the problem. Pence defended his in President Trumps decision to hold Campaign Rallies indoors with thousands of supporters and little social distancing the freedom of speech. The right to peaceably assemble is enshrined in the constitution of the United States. And uh we have an election coming up this fall, the Vice President also ticked off a list of precautions that americans should take to slow the spread of coronavirus but he made no mention of wearing a mask continue to practice, good hygiene wash your hands. Avoid touching your face. Disinfect frequently asked by a reporter why mask have become a political issue in part because of the president pence deflected and ignored how cdc guidance recommends wearing a face mask in public we just believe that whats most important here is that people listen to. The leadership in their state the leadership in their local community in here that guides President Trump didnt attend the briefing or the Task Force Meeting beforehand but as she pointed to texas as an example doctor deborah birx the Coronavirus Response coordinator refuted the claim that hes made for weeks and said rising positive test rates are cause for concern you can see throughout may after opening their te t positivity continue to decline as theyre testing increased. It was in the last 2 and a half weeks that we saw this inflection of rising test positivity along with rising testing that graph kilter is the president s misleading claim that the only reason there are more coronavirus cases is because there is more coronavirus testing. That was Kaitlan Collins reporting and the whole Positivity Rate is whats important. Thats why as you increase testing you look at the positives and you can tell exactly where the nation stands. The president says he still continues to get tested every day. Well new this morning, a federal judge in california d that Migrant Children in Detention Centers must be released due to the coronavirus pandemic the children have to be reunited with their families by mid july. Well it is a cool and foggy morning for many of us, but we still do have some afternoon heat for inland areas to be expected 80s 90s for some im talking a coo caress immerses your senses, with silk extract and floral oil essence. Com and were back at 8. 15 San Francisco would normally be preparing for one of its biggest events of the year this weekend talking about the 50th pride parade, but coronavirus has forced the cancellation of the big parade kron fours morning. Kelly explains how you can still. Join in the celebration. Normally the vibrant display of lgbt pride would rob roughly a Million People to line Market Street in San Francisco. But the pandemic has forced organizers to cancel an in person celebration this year were not alone of course you know over 500 pride celebrations around the clothes have been either cancel or otherwise affected or some instead on its 50th anniversary sf pride is going virtual with 2 days of content on 2 concurrent streams on sf pride dot org. What they do not want to see our big crowds of people flocking to the castro to celebrate this is not the weekend for an outdoor party, i mean it would be lovely this is the 50th anniversary of pride and we wish we could be Biggest Party in San Francisco history. But it turned out to it. Cases are on the rise, but not all pride traditions are strictly online this year also marks the 25th anniversary. Of the unfurling of the Pink Triangle on twin peaks on saturday night at 09 00pm it will be lit up with 2700 pink l e d nodes the triangle will be illuminated through pride weekend and into july during the International Aids Conference which is also being held virtually this year. Maureen kelly kron 4 news. Thank you maria and dont forget to we have our kron 4 news special celebrated 50 years of pride, its airing tonight. And tomorrow at 10 00pm make sure you tune in right here on kron 4 lets take a look at the weather that were having this weekend john that foggy so far yes, definitely foggy so far in today going to be a foggy one for coastal areas. Good one to stay cozy, maybe and that pride live stream from the comfort of your own home you can see for you can see from berkeley at all this morning because that fog is so dense, pushing into the east bay hills, its going to be something that youre going to see all day long right along the coastline. Well for inland areas, a good dose of sunshine to be expected this afternoon. A brief cool down is in the works for a starting tonight into tomorrow this cooler push of air is going to make its way and resulting in breezier conditions and then a nice cool down for tomorrow, its going to be short lived though as a ridge of High Pressure will move right back in behind descending cooler air winds will pick up especially later on today into the evening tonight, this is going to make for a very brisk day tomorrow, so windy and cooler sunday is just around the corner today still warm for inland areas tomorrow, youre going to notice temperatures nowhere as warm as todays are about to be fog or may not the coast today, but look at tomorrows forecast sunday is going to bring some increase clearing to our coastal areas as that wind pushes on through so not as much fog at the coast and certainly not as hot inland. That is the big shift. Were looking at for the close to your weekend. Todays daytime highs in the 50s and 60s for San Francisco, a pretty chilly summer day. Montero at 60 degrees today. Well you had away from the coast in chile is not the way to describe it will again be toastie Mountain View at 86 degrees while down in the south bay. Were close to 90 in Saratoga Campbell in Los Gatos San Jose youll be a 88. While in the east bay temperatures in the 90s for livermore 70s in hayward on up through oakland and san leandro concord danville walnut creek in the mid 80s today while the north bay temperatures mostly 70s 80s. Antioch here exception at 92. While some 60s out at the coast. Santa rosa petaluma nevado will be hovering right around 80 degrees. So the biggest difference from today into tomorrow is our inland temperatures from the upper 80s to data the upper 70s for sunday now even though that looks great it is going to be a very windy sunday. So its going to make a brisk feel for especially closer to the coast. Temperatures will begin to warm up into the start of next week and by the middle to end of next week. Its back to our hot temperatures we go daria. Thanks a lot john one and a half million more americans has filed for unemployment in recent weeks in california. Some are having a hard time now the k did the Employment DevelopmentDepartment Web site so they can get help right now more than 16 of californians are out of a job. The Employment Development department has been trying to catch up with all of the unemployment applications some applicants have had a straightforward process. Others say though its been more challenging. Then i became aware of another program was offered specifically for people that or have their own businesses is called the 2 up so filed for because i was already in the system as it did like claim. I was waiting for probably about a month and a half before i discovered that they did not have the means to start. And thats it from a Business Owners perspective so whether youre an individual out of work or a business its tough considering that the the coronavirus has hit so many businesses so hard and now that were having to pause. The reopening in many areas, including in some in the bay area james one of the big stories im talking about a San Francisco pausing opening more businesses tomorrow. Yeah, hard news to hear from. This is at the desperate to reopen and their customers to still ahead we have more young people getting infected with covid19 were going to hear from a local doctor about the new cases and heres a quick live look outside a richmond sandra fell bridge toll plaza camera where traffic is moving along just fine on an Early Saturday Morning well be safety, its not its not even a priority. Age 24 is the time and weve got to talk about the pandemic because its getting worse and a lot of young adults now our testing positive because theyre not Wearing Masks and socially distancing know they feel as though theyre immune to it but theyre not kron fours michelle kingston spoke with local Health Experts about the surge were seeing. In new cases among younger people. This is not a good situation that were in right now with this dramatic uptick in the number of cases as well as hospitalizations as beaches bars gyms and restaurants reopen across the country several states said singleday case records this week, including arizona and nevada texas oklahoma and california many states are seeing a rise in young people testing positive for coronavirus that Vice President mike pence is calling it encouraging that roughly half the new cases are coming from people under the age of 35, we asked local Health Experts why he might think thats a good thing i think some people may think its encouraging that young people because of covid test. Because they are less likely to be hospitalized and less likely to die because of it. That young people can easily who are older and to those who may end up getting very sick and dying of the virus. Theres no question young people are very important day in the spread. The coronavirus and i think this is just been highlighted in the last week or in states particularly that of opened up. I think in retrospect way too that young people have often implicated in spreading the virus local Health Experts say its important to continue wearing a mask when in public and if you must be around other people, its best to do so outside while young people may have milder symptoms they can still infect those more at risk. And while the c case numbers, rising its likely the death rate will also rise in the coming weeks in the east bay, michelle kingston kron 4 news. Its being called an online ring of hate in the san jose mayor is calling for all the 8. 29 right now if its a little blurry when you wake dont adjust your eyes, its probably actually outside things look a little window when the trust for that its just mother definitely resulting in a blurry foggy view from timber on this morning. Visuals not that great at the coast and up into the east bay hills as you can see much due to this fog that is really pushing along the coast and into the east bay foggo begin to burn off around 10 00am to 11 00am especially after that you do have another dose of afternoon sunshine with the exception being our coastal areas its going to be pretty great through the day 50s and 60s is where were sitting right now temperatures dublin and livermore as well as conquered at 64 oakland and pittsburgh each at 61 degrees temperatures later today rise into the upper 80s again for san jose and a couple of 90s on the map too. I do have a big cool down in your forecast come tomorrow still to come back to you, thanks john lets get to the big story. The big numbers of covid and the mayor of san jose is calling now for the firing of a San Jose Police officers. Well actually there are a group of them that made racist comments in a facebook posting and he calls it an online hate ring hes trying to get to the bottom of kron fours reyna harvey is live in san jose with the details rana. Darya good morning. Its not only the mayor, its also the police chief here in san jose along with the chief association or the police chief association out here in san jose, theyre calling for all the officers like you mentioned involved to be held accountable. Now daryn this all stemmed from an online Facebook Group where these officers theyre saying current and former officers out here were allegedly making hateful racist comments inside of this group now again the association is bringing again these new rules that they want to place against these officers to take a look at your screen. This is all from the Police Association, this is by the president paul kelly. They want immediate lead to file charges to expel those involved from the Police Officers association also may want to immediately suspend any Board Members that may be involved. Now without money and support from officers trying to defend themselves. They want to withhold that from them. They also want to take emergency steps to update their bylaws to allow the immediate expulsion of Board Members in the future. Now heres Police OfficerAssociation President paul kelly denouncing the officers actions. Want to be crystal clear. There is no place in our Police Department or or union for racists. Theyre bigots. For those who that enable them. By not speaking up. When we see those types of behaviors. Now the San Jose Police department chief eddie garcia issued a statement he said while i have no control over what former employees post online any current employee involved with bigoted activity online will probably be investigated and held accountable to the fullest extent in my power we have no place for this now again this is still an active investigation meaning that all of these are still allegations and all of this or alleged that they were former and current San Jose Police officers so again, but you can see city officials all stepping up and speaking out as they continue their investigation but for now reporting here in san jose urena harvey kron 4 news thank you reena the California State University system is tackling racism with education theyre proposing that all students in all. 23 campuses be required to take and ethnic studies and social justice course before they graduate. The idea is in response to all of the protests over racism to create awareness. A student might choose a course African American history and Africana Studies or they might choose. A course Public Healths not looks at Public Health disparities among communities of color. The system is hoping theyll develop this course work and it will help students think about social change. And hes been a man shot in the eye with a rubber bullet now is afraid hell lose his vision. Oakland resident Daniel Sanchez fears he may lose his left eye pictures show an injury. He says came from Oakland Police shooting him with a rubber bullet i sure can. You heard a lot. Sanchez was observing a black lives matter protest near Oakland City Hall on the night of may 30 he was merely a bystander at the 14th street bart station when he was struck in the face bones along his nose and around his eye had been broken as i write away like flows like immediately and then there was blood all over but worst news may await when we went to the hospital they pretty much told us that. She she was it was very likely that he was going to lose his eyesight sanchezs sister rebecca has started a go fund me to help pay for the expensive surgery. She says daniels injury shows why police should not be using rubber bullets on protesters. I dont think they realize how the injured it. The experience has been traumatic for the sanchezs daniel has been told by his doctor to stay stressfree ahead of his tuesday surgery. Its been difficult because hes coming to grips with the possibility that his vision in his left eye may not return i think this was necessary and this should not have happened. Sanchez is a line cook it rakes dealership in oakland which has been dealing with its own problems since the covid19 pandemic began however, his bosses have assured him that he does have a job when he returns in the meantime the sanchez family is considering joining a Class Action Lawsuit against police who have used violence against protesters. Reporting in walnut creek dan thorn kron 4 news. Well the hayward Police Department has released new body camera video of an officer involved shooting that happened earlier this month take a look. Both of you. There you hear the numerous shots that were fired police say this all happened when they responded to reports of a possible shooting and looting incident at cbs on mission boulevard when they got there they tried to detain 2 men who were inside of a parked car, but they say thats when several other cars in the parking lot began speeding away. As of thursday all 17 officers at king city Police Department including a police chief now have these camera equipped firearms which cost the city they say about 12,000. Steven butler says he wants to do everything he can to bring attention to what he believes is a major fire hazard here on olive street between polk of an s at San Franciscos to delight multiple power lines going across the street going up and down the block spliced into each other. Is is tremendously fearful. He says hes noticed the number of unsheltered residents has grown here in recent months so we have people actually coming from other locations charging their devices representative of the San Francisco coalition on homelessness told me one reason for this is the lack of available options for charging laptops and cell phones because public spaces like libraries a drop in being closed due to covid19 there are way too many people who are living on our sidewalks and streets and alleys. Im during this pandemic whether San Francisco supervisor matt haney says the citys healthy streets Operations Center is making progress and they cut the number of tense on the streets in the tenderloin in have just in the last 2 weeks. Im getting hundreds of people into hotels and actually when i saw the photo i reached out to that. This is not a good situation that were in right now with the this dramatic uptick in the number of cases as well as hospitalizations. The number of coronavirus cases is on the rise here in california and plans to reopen more businesses in the bay area have been put on hold. Thanks a lot john lets get to our top story which is the governor announcing now 15 counties in the state are on a watch list because of coronavirus spikes and includes 2 in the bay area Contra Costa County and Santa Clara County right now its up to the counties to decide if they want to roll back. The lockdown and tighten up on businesses but the governor says if you have to step in he will. They are going to be convening the county supervisors and county leadership over the course of the next few days and making a determination to lead that effort at a local level. We are advising and counseling them to move and reinstitute the stay at home but they will move at their discretion if they or not able to come to some i am committed to intervening. The worst of the worst in california is down south and near san diego Imperial County. While the state is that 5 and a half say percent positivity about that county is 23 . Positivity rate. So thats not good and thats why the governor is talking about counties decided to roll back. Yeah, in fact states decided to roll back as well, heres a map that shows us what conditions what conditions have changed in the past couple of weeks right now were looking at new cases this past week versus the week prior and you can see california is indicated there in orange, its one of 21 states that have seen new cases jump anywhere from 10 to 50 . But its the states in red that we really have to keep an eye on because they represent places where we see new cases jumped 50 or more and as you can see on the map. There are 11 of them ranging from montana down through idaho, nevada, arizona across the south 2 big states texas weve got missouri, mississippi that georgia florida also included in that florida by the way miami beach, those beaches in dade county have been closed as of now through july 4th holiday the median age of those people getting sick in florida has fallen from 65 down now to sir to 5 in s raising a lot of eyebrows across the north were seeing places like michigan and vermont as well seeing cases jumped by more than 50 now local leaders in these states are contemplating whether to adapt. Reconsider maybe even reverse some of the reopening policies that they put into place, lets take a closer look at california specifically and the numbers there as we know continue to rise 206,000 cases confirmed now and growing 5800 deaths. Thats a statewide number bay area were looking at more than 22,000 confirmed cases now with 562 deaths thats crazy to the point that americans are not welcome in europe and theyre starting their reopening process meantime. Theres not going to be reopening some businesses in San Francisco on monday, the mayor of San Francisco says she has to stop the plans. For salons and other businesses that were going to reopen because of the covid cases so lets take a look they were going down. Those are the covid cases in the month of june and then you can see what happened the restaurants reopened on june 15th, it was shortly thereafter you can see the spike that came just in the last week. So now the planned for monday is off. What that sadly means is our plans for monday. To reopen a number of businesses in places that we have committed to. Those plans will be put on pause were going to have to dial it back. Were going to have to dial it back because of what we see with the data. So theyre going to keep looking at that data and determine at what point they can make another move and begin the process again of reopening but who knows how long thats going to be in the meantime things get worse. There may be even more on a lockdown resumed and the decision to hold back on opening businesses barbershops and hair salons like means that a lot of these places that were that opened just day after tomorrow have to suddenly call customers and say got to cancel that new appointment and its tough on these businesses and the clients. Just about getting her down the street saying you for us, you know were a scene that were seeing in there. We are ready when the doors are open and we will be there for sure for you. In the meantime theyre so are other businesses, including tattoo parlors so theyre not going to be opening as you thought they might have on monday. Yeah. But jump to the north bay now were more in county also is delaying reopening of businesses because of a spike in cases there businesses that are now being delayed for reopening include as you can see on the screen there hotels gyms tattoo parlors nail salons Massage Services, no date has been set on when those businesses will be allowed to reopen, well let you know when we find out. Meanwhile in the east bay contra costa counties reevaluating whether they should allow businesses to reopen as planned indoor gyms and into our should say Indoor Dining and gyms and bars and nail salons were all set to reopen on july first but now county Officials Say that theyre trying to figure out if that still appropriate and with the july 4th weekend coming up the holiday. Theyre really worried that people are going to congregate too much so theyre asking you to avoid large social gatherings. Do continue wearing their masks to try and prevent the spread. And it is a little different this year for pride for sure a lot of its going to be indoors which may look a little better what you look out the window this morning and realize its kind of foggy for a lot of us you may just want to stay inside anyways this weekend. You look outside sfo this morning sitting under some blue skies, Clear Conditions at sfo south but that fog pretty evident out the distance right behind San Bruno Mountain no delays at the airport right now if you do happen to be traveling. Its not most of us though looking outside at san jose also blue skies overhead and then out of the east bay, its just great that fog is pushing to the east bay hills, its going to stay with us for a few more hours to youre going to start to see some clearing breaking apart of cloud cover between 10 11am this morning. Pretty evident here in stormtracker 4 right along the coastline. We zoom out across the region. We do have some big changes to talk about this cool air mass sinking into the bay area today can a result in a short lived cooldown come tomorrow. Also some increased wind speeds tonight, especially wind speeds are going to increase tomorrow a cooler but when the year day making free brisk sunday, not feeling a whole lot like summer out along the coastline. These days even though tomorrow we are going to see increased sunshine out the coast as that wind in cooler air pushes through. Got the right to vote and to mark that the Obama Administration wanted to unveil plans to put famed abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the 20 bill but the Trump Administration has put those plans on hold weve got lower coats explaining why. Its a name the president often invokes when talking about american heros Harriet Tubman in harriet up and Harriet Tubman but the president has stopped short of memorializing her heroism by replacing Andrew Jackson on the front. One of our most widely circulated currency notes, the 20 bill i think its pure Political CorrectnessAndrew Jackson had a great history and i think its very rough when you take somebody off the bill first speaking of history. President Andrew Jackson was a slave holder and signs legislation removing native americans from their land. Nevertheless trump has long admired jackson. Visiting his home in nashville. Im a fan. Im a big fan. And moving his portrait to the oval office where he even hosted a group of Navajo Veterans right in front of that painting you were here long before any of us were second no one sought to remove Andrew Jackson from the bill entirely. A redesigned bill simply moves into the back of the bill and features Harriet Tubman on the front. This decision came during the Obama Administration. A decision that was also voted on by americans initiating a timeline to unveil the bills redesign in 2020. Coinciding with the one 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote. 4 years later, the plans for release have been pushed back a decade. Treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin telling reporters earlier this month. This is something that is in the distant future. But the new bill wouldnt be released until 2030. So what accounts for the delay, new chin claims its security concerns this is a non political situation. Where the primary objective of changing the current say is to stop counterfeiting but when pressed. The newton couldnt explain why the imagery would still be delayed. So yes, or no will you meet what was originally the 2020 redesigned deadline. We will meet the security feature a redesigned in 2020. The imagery feature will not be an issue that comes up until most likely 2026. Protesters have accelerated the discussion making clear which images they believe fully represent americas heritage and which do not in richmond, virginia. The former capital of the confederacy Robert E Lee Statue was covered with the projected image. Of Harriet Tubman but here at Lafayette Park across from the white house Andrew Jacksons remains protecting the protesters trying to topple it but then these fences went up. The president now saying theyre going to increase protection at the statue saying we shouldnt a race or heritage whose heritage and why shouldnt Harriet Tubman be included in it as she is or most outstanding female patriot. And symbolically what does it say when there is a reluctance for now to even allow her to share the bill it is so sad this idea that by even sharing a little bit of historical real estate that somehow. The ensure. Folks will feel that their story is lost. At a time when the nation is searching for its moral compass the image of one woman guided by the north star would speak volumes and in a language all americans understand after all money talks. Its being called an online ring of hate and the mayor here in san jose wants the officers 9. 30 right now and lets see if we can pull or had a now thank john what are we seeing out there lot of clouds its going to be in the clouds for big guys we definitely have plenty of cloud cover and fog hanging out for much of the bay area, coastal areas in bayside spots. Sales first hour certainly has its head in the clouds right now cant see very much. The top end of the tower there visibility at the coast is definitely being affected were starting to see fog and cloud cover lifting over the bay itself. So thats a good sign for visibility. Thats going to start proving more and more but definitely still seeing that low gray hanging out overhead for inland areas, south bay and north bay, its a much different story weve got a lot of sunshine inland. Dublin in livermore at 67 right now youre sitting under sunshine and some warm temperatures and are about to see another really warm afternoon ahead, san jose a sign of that near 90 degrees again today. Im talking a much cooler sunday just around the corner though in your forecast daria. They also want to take emergency steps to update its bylaws to allow the immediate expulsion of Board Members in the future. Now heres Police OfficerAssociation President paul kelly the now seen those officers actions. Want to be crystal clear. There is no place in our Police Department or or union for racists.
