Protesters kept on going and persisting you can see people with signs all of its Scientists Say justice for george floyd to black lives matter signs in a lot of people out there not wanting it to end a Huge Police Presence of horse out there and they have been trying to put this curfew in place in had protests here in san jose. Consistently since as saturday even has been quite intense here in san jose we dont know exactly how many people were arrested, but you can see. The National Guard has arrived in vallejo to keep the peace oficials say that a 100 people with batteries at about 40 vehicles surrounded, the label Police Department overnight. And they say they threw rocks and bottles at the Police Station. Authorities have not said how many people were arrested or if anybody was hurt 50 National Guard personnel are w in vallejo to assist the police. At least 20 protesters were arrested last night in San Francisco for breaking the curfew demonstrators marched through the streets chanting George Floyds name but compared to the past few days these protests were mostly peaceful. So some good news there and that was just one of several rallies that were peaceful unlike what weve seen recently in front of San Francisco city hall in fact there was another rally where people were chanting 4 mario woods. Woods was killed during an encounter with San Francisco police back in 2015 the protesters. Across the country protests were largely peaceful as well. There were some tense moments though when nightfall came lets take a look at the video in from washington d c officers reported they used tear gas to disperse a crowd of protesters late into the evening, the crowd. Was peaceful earlier near the white house. And in los angeles a long day of protests did end in arrests, many of the protesters they say were arrested for violating the citys curfew they say there was not any looting or violence to report yesterday in l a and the protests that happened there that were destructive the night before in new york city. Some protesters here you can see clash with police in the video that we see the demonstrators have their hands in the air. And some were arrested, new york also had an 08 00pm curfew last night. It was a peaceful day. This was the evening in Portland Oregon after a peaceful daytime demonstration but then things ended with police during tear gas to disperse crowds. Protesters some of them did clash with the police that gathering was declared unlawful. At night as some people lit fireworks and threw objects at officers. Well back here in San Francisco city leaders announced a new resolution prohibiting the hiring of Law Enforcement officers who have a history of misconduct, the San Francisco Police Officers Association Says they were left out of that conversation kron fours taylor sackey has more. Following the death of george floyd who died last week after being pinned down by a Minnesota Police officer, San Francisco District Attorney jason booting in city supervisor, shimon walton introduced a resolution on tuesday. The resolution would prohibit the San Francisco Police Department or the Sheriffs Office from hiring an officer who has history of serious misconduct, we give Police Officers, a gun and a badge and the power to arrest and the power to use force is essential. That weve got those individuals and that we hold them to Higher Standards boudin in multan say the resolution would also prohibit local Law Enforcement from hiring any officer who has avoided that kind of record by leaving their job while an investigation is pending this is one of those policies that. Sheriffs Officials Say that criminals are using the peaceful protest to cause unrest destruction and chaos in the streets Jonathan Mccall has the latest. The monday night in Alameda County 122 people were arrested and booked into the jail. The first night of a county wide curfew that went into effect many of the arrest came just hours after an estimated 50 fake. And some of those individuals as were from outside the bay area region and even from outside state Sergeant Ray Kelly with the Alameda County Sheriffs Office says that many of the arrest were from Contra Costa County. Kelly says the also saw arrest from San Francisco cma 2 as far away as stockton, even missouri and Washington State what that tells us is that theres theres people that have come into our county into our community to commit crimes. He says right now Law Enforcement agencies are working to not only protect peaceful demonstrators. But at the same time rooting out outsiders behind the looting and local criminals using peaceful protest to carry out other crime. And police were just trying to get people to go home telling them, Everyone Needs to go home. Officials say a 100 people armed with batteries and other things and about 40 vehicles surrounded the Police Department overnight.
