And i reflect a different to economic environment and the landlord has to share that burden with the otherwise go into business ariel ford owns easy breezy frozen yogurt. She says the end of foot traffic can serve yourself service has led to a 70 loss in her business as well thats why she like many want to renegotiate the rent. 1011 of my sales i can rent historic what i would like to do that same amount as a percentage after the end of the year. As a means of being able to survive but some landlords are unwilling. Thats why state senator scott wiener has proposed legislation that will create an incentive for landlords to renegotiate it. Allows a tenant a business to invoke a negotiation period of 30 days. To engage in that negotiation and that if the negotiation is unsuccessful. The tenant has the option to terminate the lease and that gives the tenant leverage so theres actually a 2 sided negotiation wiener says the commercial Real Estate Industry opposes the bill. But he says theyre losing sight of the implication of keeping the rent as is or even charging more choice is not between. The current rent your lower red. Its a choice do lower rent or no rent because of a cyst on its high rents that are no longer viable these businesses will just go away and people declare bankruptcy to get out of their debt obligations which in turn result and the landlords will get absolutely nothing. But now you have to be 10 point you know, its its a new normal for everybody, including the people that plan these things and i think theyre going to kind of plan as they go and and evolve and right now its about a 1015 minute. Curbside pickup situation but as it evolves it probably will turn around a little bit in the extended and then the traffic will change a little bit as well they want to remove single lanes to make it a little bit wider open i would imagine you know this has been a a pipe dream of mine for 15 years here in Hayward Hardware is to make a the you know even a mini mall and just close it totally but right now at one way its going to be helpful in terms of getting a reboot here and getting really getting the confidence back of the community to come to downtown hayward and support them urges calm down dont hang around because they have signs all up and down the street along. But hill between foothill and mission to remind you. You dont have to go home enough to hang around here and walk around because now its all about the businesses. Hey good morning morning, good morning, everybody and dont need it today, maybe but youre definitely going to be in the ac later on in those inland locations we get to the weekend. And oh yeah and early next week, particularly in the cars at home wherever going to be quite toasty as we take a look at the long range forecast right now a live shot coming in from the bay bridge toll plaza are still negotiating through some of this cloud cover you can see its starting to break up a little bit off to the distance but still quite a bit of those fog clouds hanging around quite a bit. One of the ways some winds to across mid bay coming across the golden gate going on shore direction. Right at the open as you can see and that will subside little bit later on today that we have little cluster some showers Holding Together near about reno looks like and later on today weve got the daytime heating. Well see the flare up up in the sierra of a little bit were more of a rain happening up there too and some of the fog maybe along the coast, maybe a bit of a problem for today to until things really start to even out 76 bakersfield also fresno 66 going on force San Francisco, 60 moderate and what were 70s down to Southern California. Nothing really much changing yet so we still have the cooler air mass in place with that low. However that started to move out and High Pressure will replace it. So i do have clear skies sunny weather will start to see temperatures start to ban on the upward direction to warming us up and the longer range forecast, lets get into it in the 4 zone forecast 66 San Francisco sunset district about 6365 for daly city and also afternoon bay pacifica checking in about 60 the northern end of the peninsula in the middle 60s for the most part san bruno 6365 burlingame and some lower 70s in the southern end here, 71 to a redwood city in pa alto even a 70 coming in for foster city and the south bay, its still some 80 air 8 if sir 75 excuse me. Morgan hill 73 going on for a san jose and milpitas 73 per cupertino and also to for santa clara. And the east bay shoreline to the south fremont 7073 meanwhile for pleasanton and livermore dublin coming in at 72. So this is called the goldilocks forecast, you know nothing too stands out here too much you know the typical kind of thing however were going to start seeing the decoupling with these temperatures as we go forward those inland areas are going to start racing ahead here into the 80s potentially as early as we might see some areas on friday reach around 80 or so but we go through the 80s and 90s all the way by sunday and on into early next week and theres a possibility by tuesday that some far east bay locations been even top off at 100 robin whats going on with the area traffic traffic is still quite busy day lot of folks are packing up and heading to work this morning.
