Make more than a 198,000. They will not get a payment. The bill also provides billion for Small Business loans. 250 billion will be set aside for Unemployment Insurance benefits and billion in loans for Distressed Companies now the bill now heads to the house which is expected to vote this friday. Well the passage of the stimulus bill comes at a great time for the 1 Million People in california who have filed for unemployment. Some homeowners will soon be getting a break as well thats because california leaders have secured a deal with 4 Major National banks to temporarily suspend Home Mortgage payments for those affected by covid 19 governor newsome says wells fargo citi us bank and Jp Morgan Chase all agreed on a 90 day grace period, another 200 Smaller Banks made similar commitments. 4 of the 5 largest institutions committed to just stop that 90 day unfortunately bank of america did not publicly commit to that they just committed to 30 days hope they will reconsider and joins a those other that are willing to do the right thing. Well governor newsome said the states work with the banks will continue on other issues like atm fees and overdraft charges. Around the world. The number of confirmed cases now stands at more than 470,000 and more than 21,000 people have died the us has more than 68,000 cases in over 1000 deaths. This includes 185 deaths that happened yesterday and that marks the deadliest day so far in the u s here in california were seen over 3,000 cases. And in the bay area Santa Clara County has the most cases 459 7 deaths in San Francisco county there are 178 cases and one death. 165 cases and 5 deaths in san mateo county. In the east bay, 124 cases and 2 deaths in alameda county. Contra costa county there are 108 cases and one death. In the north bay marin county has 53 cases there are 37 cases in Sonoma County with one death, 24 and solano county. Now the county has 6 cases now. And california is preparing for a surge of coronavirus cases that includes opening a Bay Area Medical Center that was close after filing for bankruptcy. Kron fours will tran joining us live this morning from daly city well. Robin seton Medical Center has new life because of covid 19 the governor needs thousands of bad saying anything will help right now he has been able to secure 200 beds out of the 357 possible beds at seton Medical Center and theyre already accepting coronavirus patients because they realized the need is going to be. Just california expects thousands of people to come down the coronavirus as this continues to play there. State the globe and he wants to get his hands on as many beds as he possibly can right now. He needs 50,000 beds altogether 200 does not seem a lot but the governor says anything helps and he is working on it every day to get more beds because right now the Hospital System is just stretched thin which is why he ordered that shelter in place to try to flatten the curve that is one thing that hes doing there are other things that he says he needs to be able to get his hands on to try to slow down coronavirus. We have now secured literally 100 million new and 95 masks which is not in significant, but again still requires us to secure and support additional procurement efforts. But thats good news and for those Health Care Leaders that are demanding more and deserve more i want them to know when those get off the docks when they get through the airport in customs were going to get him out as quickly as we humanly possibly those procurements are not just limited to 95 masks, those could coveralls gallons. And shields and the like. So robin marty how dire is the situation where california at any given time has about 90,000 beds. The governor wants to have 50,000 more he believes that the hospital somehow some way be will be able to get 30,000 ads on its own and hes working on trying to get 20,000 more beds and that could be fair grounds could be other locations. Hes also working with fema for emergency trailers but the good news is right now this was as you talked about robin, it was bankrupt. But because of the situations. The governor says you are back up and running in already accepting covid 19 patients back to you all right, thank you well we definitely need more its nice to see all these a source is pulling together to make it happen. Thank you. Well, the south bay has been hit the hardest with the coronavirus pandemic and currently nearly half of the patients at Kaiser Permanente in san jose. Those cases are coronavirus related. In an interview with the journal of the American Medical Association doctor stephan parity executive Vice President of Kaiser Permanente he tells the journal about the influx of coronavirus patients and also the changes that quickly need to be made. Literally had to be cant hospital make sure that youve got not im personnel spin because to provide the air as we age spots. Requires resort. Some of personnel. Well the number of suspected or confirmed covid 19 patients, you know that number changes daily, but they do say that the percentage of patients in san jose has actually dropped and an effort to prevent overwhelming hospitals, the Santa Clara Convention center. Well now start serving as a Federal Medical Facility for non call that 19 patients, the facility will be one out of 8 in the state. 10,000 air and Army National guard troops are on the front lines now helping out with the pandemic 8 states have approved the use of dual status commanders man includes california. It gives them the authority to command active and reserve troops under control of governor of the state. The National Guard task include delivering food helping with screening and testing also providing transportation and discuss disinfecting and cleaning public spaces military leaders have made it a point to say the National Guard will not be imposing martial law. Some of those National Guard troops are working in fairfield helping prepare and distribute emergency food boxes at the food bank of contra costa and solano but kron 4 says he can do reports they are still in need of more volunteers. The National Guard is in fairfield helping prepare and distribute emergency food boxes at the food bank of contra costa and solano we were just so thankful to have the National Guard here today and our first run through assembly over 1000 emergency food boxes food bank of contra costa and solano ceo joel salts trump talked about the National Guards mission. Well that commit it being with us at least 3 our intent is to have them here 5 days a week and continuing to build urgency boxes of food approaches that we can get out to issue it is again as it should also to 178,000 clients we serve right now he says he could really use the help lot of the food bank experiencing a 30 drop the volunteers in the wake of that cold that day 18 pass and that we understand a lot of our volunteers are in that 4th hole of all age groups sanitation stations and gloves are on site to promote health and safety. So some says it is times like these the Food Bank Services are needed more than ever so many people have been laid off or have lesser income so that is going to push a lot of people to be first time you know if you need to slow. Over the past 2 weeks the food bank of contra costa and solano has seen a 50 increase of those needing their services at most of their distribution sites. The for the next 3 weeks the National Guard will be assisting the food bank well fill that mean. Has it made you. A Coverage Area seems to get most of the cities around the immediate bay here and the west northwest into the teens but that will be your afternoon evening breeze at work a little bit as well but this system is helping. So its pm showers going on rain that is going to be heaviest to the south if you will and i should also note Higher Elevation join look for that is 12 now friday to break in the rain mostly sunny temperatures dont do really much yet and for your weekend rain showers fire back up again in clearirg late on sunday probably post sunset so far current temperatures were 32 santa rosa Still Holding tight there right at freezing elsewhere across the north bay, its in the 30s, but he isnt seeing some 30s in london, the east bay like livermore 37 and even along the east bay shoreline 39 for a work with city as well and even san jose at 39 to use its also indicative of some drier air working here as well so some of the lower elevations have drier air least and look at the temperature change we have a 24 hours a little cooler this morning. But we havent bottomed out too much more 58 expected for your high today San Francisco oakland about 60 was scattered afternoon clouds but again for some of those Higher Elevations in the east bay hills what he is scattered sprinkle it work and san jose in places like mount the rather Mount Hamilton like observatory might get that pm shower work as well.
