up. well to the peninsula now a resident shoots and kills a man and side of a brisbane home police called the incident a home invasion at first, but as kron four's has it been you learn that is no longer the case. the officers arrived on scene and discovered a deceased male who suffered fatal gunshot wounds. >>it appears the resident inside the home pulled the trigger. monday afternoon's deadly shooting hero dollar oddo street in brisbane was initially bound to be a home invasion a day later brisbane police investigators say that is no longer the case about this time it doesn't appear to be northbound one oh one at the bicentennial way off ramp. so officers found a mosque that was pinned underneath the trailer of a semi truck. the driver of the mazda die right there on scene and investigators say preliminary investigation shows up the truck was stopped on the right hand shoulder when the mosque that just rolled onto the shoulder and crashed into the truck. well 2 men are facing charges in connection to a series of car burglaries at a popular tourist spot in san francisco, including the palace of fine arts and the golden gate bridge welcome center parking lot this is where most of this activity has been happening. so police arrested jared wilson and devon carter. last monday officers say that the 2 broke into at least 5 vehicles before getting arrested at the stones town movie theater parking lot. police in san francisco, they arrested a man for stealing from a local high school twice this is 35 year-old carlos vela ceo. he said police say that he stole $8,000 worth of electronics and tools from the roof. all swat san francisco school of the arts it happened back on december 23th and then again on january 11th. the lin seal was also found last wednesday in place under arrest, he now faces several charges and no word on if the school was able to get their property back. and santa rosa she's been credited for saving her mother and pets from a house fire kron forcefully to call has that story when travis gilbert look through his windows monday afternoon. he saw a startling scene santa rosa fire fighters on top of his neighbors. >>lanes and smokes. the middle of the street. >>he says crews worked quickly to put the fire did a fantastic job they were all over the same, but it wasn't until the situation calmed down when gilbert learned the fire could have been much worse the daughter had to i told her mother out of more than that and that's got the animals for the fire was reported at 00:40pm in the afternoon on julio lane that's when a 16 year-old girl living in the home helped get 2 dogs and her intoxicated mother outside to safety. she was very brave and and and just doing what he did and she saw that there that her mom in danger and that of. she took action the home is now yellow tagged the family is allowed inside just not upstairs the fire caused $50,000 in damage, but no people or any animals were hurt. the cause of the up for school the day after in santa rosa felipe should all kron 4 news. >>well in alameda police seized several bottles of stolen alcohol during a traffic stop police posted this photo of what they found take a look a lot of bottles there the stop the driver on high street and oldest drive for failing to display a license plates on both bumpers during a traffic stop officers saw several alcohol bottles that appeared partially concealed. they later confirmed the driver recently stole them from a safe way. a driver was arrested for the theft and the vehicle was towed. well disney has a find in east bay school after they showed one of their movies during a fund-raiser without permission. so back in november, a dad's club at emerson elementary school in berkeley. they held a fundraiser giving parents a you know at a discounted childcare opportunity. so the disney movie the lion king that was shown at the fundraiser, the money raised contributed additional revenue to the school's budget. the school got in trouble so they got a letter last week saying that they violated disney's licensing a copyright laws. the pta president who helped run the event released an apology adding that he to start to feel temperatures on the rise taking us back into the 60's for highs towards the afternoon for most bay area spots on into thursday more dry conditions another fog free morning friday morning though is looking like we could see some coastal fog streaming right there on into the bay, so that should have a moderating impact on temperatures. we'll have a more mild morning on friday and one of our warmest days in your forecast too. today's daytime highs warmer than we have been upper 50's for summer coastal areas mixed in with low 60's at the spots while most other areas in the bay will be well up into the 60's and not just the low 60's but a few mid 60's on the map too, san jose and santa clara you'll be at 62 degrees each today while hayward and dublin each at 61 oakland berkeley and richmond rising to 60 degrees. bill napa sonoma on over to santa rosa are 3 warm spot, 64 degrees for the high today feels a lot better than where we had been in samarra will be even warmer yet friday and saturday, some of our warmer days to and all this sunny and dry sunday and monday a cold front sweeps through that takes us briefly back into the 50's but you notice here, it's not like we're looking at any chance of rain as a cold front descends can see some windy conditions and some cloud cover on sunday but that's about it, we're dry all the way through the middle of next maintenance work you see them backing up there northbound are picking up the cones after that usual work and never backed up traffic, it's been a nice drive so far northbound and southbound that's why the get out there and they do it early so it doesn't have much of an impact on the morning commute, you're looking at 19 minutes novato to the toll plaza, here's the richmond sandra fell and we are doing just fine get out there and take that drive now while it's an easy 6 minutes rolling into the north bay keep in mind that we do have some police activity working in fremont we have a reporter on the scene kron four's will tran so if you just happen to be traveling along the nimitz to fremont keep in mind that the maori avenue on-ramp to 80 north is close for a police investigation will have more on that story coming up a little bit later not impacting traffic on the freeway but morsel city streets and the on-ramp the dumbarton bridge looks good if you're leaving fremont in newark heading over to the peninsula. no problems there, 6 80's and i strive rolling south 5.80 looks good livermore to dublin and no problems from the peninsula to san francisco 6 minutes. that's quick from brisbane to the 80 split. will san francisco supervisor matt haney he's introduced a motion to hire a special investigator to handle the scandal surrounding the department of public works. amy was among 3 supervisors who publicly called on mayor london breed to hire an independent investigator. but she says that she has already called for a special investigation into this matter. the 3 held a rally just outside of city hall last week just days after the s p f b i arrested public works director mohammed nuru for alleged corruption. so he needs motion calls on the special investigator to review internal controls and oversight put in place by city departments, they want them to evaluate the powers that the board of supervisors has also conduct an analysis and provide recommendations on yellow tape behind me it has been shut off to the public so people will have to avoid this area find other ways to hop onto the freeway as this is still a very much an active scene i just talked to the chp and they did confirm with me that they found bullet shell casings near this area let me pull up a map for you just in case you need to know exactly my location and where fremont sits in the bay area. this is on northbound 8.80 this all went down at around 3 o'clock in the morning. so we're 2 hours into the investigation. let me show you some video that we got exclusively on kron 4 news
