Were following breaking news out of florida where an active shooter situation erupted this morning at Naval Air Station pensacola you can see on the map located up on the panhandle. There. We understand that the shooter himself is dead and 5 people were injured theyve been taken to at least one local hospital there. Any fatalities we still have no word were still waiting for information more information from local authorities but we do know that at least 5 people were taken to local hospitals for various injuries. The fact that they were taken to the hospital as a good sign that there was still alive debt Naval Air Station is still locked down because authorities have to assume that there could be a second or 3rd shooter out there which is why even though they said the shooter died. We dont know if its a selfinflicted. Injury or the he or she was shot, but they still have to assume the worst which is why you can clearly see in this live shot there that the Police Officer right in the center of your screen cars are being diverted. Nobody is being allowed on to the air station and less theyre authorized personnel. And again the live picture here shows that the perimeter is still in place will just said we do know. That we had 3 at least 3 medical helicopters that were rushed to the scene ems obviously was also activated and called in as well. There are a number of people who work on air base about 16. 1000 military personnel are on this base, but it also employs about 7400 civilian personnel. So who these the shooting victims were we dont know if their military or civilian, but they were presumably all at least employees of the base itself again, keep it tuned to kron 4 will keep you updated as we learn more, hopefully theyll have a press conference here at some point this morning, the shooting tragically comes 2 days after the shooting that took place in honolulu, hawaii. At pearl harbor. Another tragic a story to report to this morning of the shooting situation as i said were hoping to maybe hear some more from local authorities in a a press conference or some sort of announcement at some point during our broadcast this morning so keep to the kron 4. Rebecca so again the big story this morning is going to be the rain and people preparing for the storm which should arrive later today, San Franciscos Mission District of course one of those areas prone to flooding. We saw video of that just this past weekend you got to take advantage of this window because the storm is this afternoon right now businesses and that neighborhood theyre stacking up. Sandbags along their engine says the streets there have been flooded in the past james youre right last week we showed it was like a little lake in the Mission District the rain will fall in San Francisco and about maybe 6 hours from now and into tomorrow, so its going to be a good one. So Business Owners are not wasting any time getting ready. We put out sandbags are happy to do it its good exercise. And usually a that helps the situation roo here sometimes because of a. Of sewer blockage. Between here in the bay in backs up a little bit. City crews also working feverishly to clear out as many storm drains as they can ahead of todays storms of flooding. Chance is at least minimized. The city of san san anselmo has a long history of flooding, San Anselmo Creek is currently running at about 2 feet. So its far away from the 11 feet flooding, no immediate danger but a it rises really rapidly the last time, san anselmo had a significant flood that was back in 2005. After the Company Released this 84 page report and it basically breaks down some of the assaults that occurred are all all of the assaults that occurred in the 2017 2018 years we broke it down for you put on your screen right now. You can look at these numbers and actually i understand them in the that. Assaults reported now among those there were 464 reports of rape. That were caused by physical assault. Over tried to put these numbers into context by saying from the start of uber 99. 9 of rides that occurred. Without incident, so theyre trying to say you know while these alarms team very alarming. They actually you know in totality maybe arent that that because theyre saying 99. 9 of rides occur without incident, but its still you know shocking to see 92 of the victims are writers about 7 of writers of the people who reported these were drivers the ceo put out the statement with the report saying quote i suspect many people be surprised at how rare these incidents are others will understandably think that theyre still too common. Some people will appreciate how much weve done on safeties. So basically the ceo is saying that they understand what anybody believes because everyone has a right to their own opinion uber has been working on a lot to improve the safety of riders and for drivers. We did have a shooting happened on the base the Naval Air Station pensacola and were looking at is a live picture at one of the perimeter entry points to the base where its been closed off the entire base on lockdown right now what we know is that the shooter has been confirmed killed by Law Enforcement and according to the pensacola news journal one of the local newspapers. Theyre theyre also reporting in their latest update the 2 victims are confirmed dead thats in addition to the shooter. Earlier we had word that at least one person was confirmed killed in addition to the shooter. But now the pensacola news journal reporting to victims. Confirmed killed in addition to the shooting with 11 others taken to local hospitals to be treated for various injuries, but again the base still under lockdown until theyve confirmed that the shooter acted alone so theyre still working methodically to clear the base and heres a live shot from one of the hospitals a lot and people had to be rushed to hospitals. Sometimes hospitals cannot handle that much trauma which is why i would presume the split number of the victims to one hospital and then the other but we have learned grew from 5 injured to 11 injured, so its gotten worse, this is about 2 and a half hours into the shooting because it happened at 4 oclock this morning, our. And and heres the thing we dont know if the victims were rushed to the hospital or those that were killed. Active military personnel or if they the base employs more than 16,000 military personnel a 7400 civilian personnel but theres also a lot of families that live on the base as well in military housing, so were still waiting for some form of confirmation from authorities on the ground as to the identities of these those that were injured in those were killed so keep it tuned across 4 for that and you can clearly see even though they believe the shooter has been killed or committed suicide. We dont know yet but they have to assume havent been out of many of the situations they have to assume. That there might be a second or 3rd person which is why theyre probably going from building to Building Hallway the hallway to clear it because they dont want to lift it all of a sudden somebody gets him bush right.
