Thats why the Evacuation Order. James, yeah, and just to see the size of the mandatory evacuation. Order now really does explain why were seeing such high numbers in terms of the total number of people evacuated which is approaching 200,000 and all those 10s of thousands of homes that are in jeopardy, right now the purple area is the mandatory evacuation zone and it stretches from the hills to the west of guys are with the fire initially started all the way out to the coast. And it also extends from geyserville all the way down to northern santa rosa i want zoom in and show you some of the fire areas because thats what each one of these dots represent and the color correlates with how long the fires been burning so the original fires broke out in the lighter cor here as you can see in that section of the hillside but the newer fires all these red dots these of the ones broke out over the weekend you can definitely see the fire has been moving aggressively in the southern and southwest direction putting a dangerously close to some of these communities right along one o one. Thats why over the weekend we saw the call go out for Community South of geyserville were talking about healdsburg were talking about winds are and as i mentioned some portions of northern in fact let slide the map up a little bpt and centerp up on santa rosa and zoom in just a touch i want to explain where in santa rosa seeing some of these mandatory Evacuation Orders. Lets pull the map youre more towards the center of the screen. So this is one to one as it moves through santa rosa were talking about 3 different zones that have been activated youve got this is shown here which inco and catch leigh some of the fountain grown found grove neighborhoods and then this zone here which encapsulates some of the areas like coffee park and then of course all of the western side of one oh one pretty much as you get into the hills thats under mandatory Evacuation Order as well so depending on where you are in santa rosa. You could be under mandatory Evacuation Orders and everybody is heading south on 1 one to get out of dodge and get to safety. Just in case this map continues to grow with this mandatory Evacuation Order continuing down hopefully thats not the case because we are expecting winds to die down today. But with that next wind event by mid week we could very well see the fire continue to spread so well just have to wait keep tuned across 4 and well keep you updated as we learn more. All right james i mean luckily the downtown portions of your winds healdsburg santa rosa. The densely Populated Areas have not burned but with those new numbers that james just reported close to a 100 structures burned to the ground, we know 40 of them were homes mostly in the outlying areas so lets go now live to will tran who has been along the fire lines and along that area where people are not allowed in there really heavily staffing that keep people out well. No they want to make sure that they dont have to handle you while theyre handling the fire and just the personnel coming in going just to give you a little bit of perspective. I thought it was vacant enough or i can pull over to the side of the road a little bit earlier james and area but officer told me you have to leave because seoul many firefighters and other heavy equipment are coming and going and he does not want me to get hit nice said dont worry about it, you know i have to tell me twice because i can show you what exactly is going on so we do know that there are firefighters on the front lines. But even firefighters not on the front lines streams and area. No rest for them because they are crisscrossing this area. You can see them part to run right next to this apartment complex there. Some street lights but no nobody is inside because they have all all been told evacuate and no word on and when they will be back let me zoom in right now look at this this firefighter. This fire engine comes to us from culver city so its coming from all all across california to help out i pretty sure sooner than later firefighters from surrounding states will be here as well often the distance checkpoints you cant drive more than say a couple of blocks without a checkpoint here or there because they want to make sure that only authorized personnel go through. He talked about the new numbers said does not bode well for the firefighters because they are weary talked also about the injuries only 5 contained and over the weekend it was they seem to be making progress. At 10 containment within the winds. Just Mother Nature are as strong as 75 Miles Per Hour in some locations just spread out fire through very dry areas anyway. And that caused the evacuation numbers to go off. No word on when people will be allowed even come back to pick up more of their things i did talk to one man from the last time you guys saw me guys and he said i can i even find a motel or hotel nearby as theyre all booked as the fire continues to burn and out of control including destroying a very his story. Why are e the soda rock winery which has been around since 1869 that went up in flames as well. Good news i can say this enough times no one has died. We saw what happened in 20 17 with the tubbs fire where at least 43 people were killed and many others injured. This time levys did that interview with that the sergeant about 30 minutes ago it seems like theyre getting the word and out everybody by this time now unfortunately we all know how to handle everybody is getting out nobody seems to be pushing back and saying we are staying, ill let you know exactly whats going on hopefully now james and darya now that the sun is up can you see what mike hammer is picking up everything head back out live now can you see that blanket of its just sitting on top of us, it is nasty. Thank you will and may get f worse today as the winds calm down that double edged sword of the winds, lets get more on that now if you daria. Murray county yesterday was windy and the air was fine this morning i went in to San Francisco for work and now start to smithfield the smoke so this is a live map that shows you the 2 areas that are affected people are saying why the east because there were flies over the weekend we have the lafayette fire yesterday, the one right on the car keen as and a lot of that smoke settled in overnight in these areas you probably actually site yesterday afternoon as those fires were burning. And then youve got this nice little spot in the middle in marine county were actually Still Holding on to some good air quality probably not for long, well we dont have power though so exactly one thing its another thats going to get and as we talked about your the all these evacuees are heading. From up north and a lot more coming down into marion county. Theyre not finding shelter there because you know they keep going theres no power there. So its going to be a continuing if youre not affected by a power outage or you know a vacuum asia affected by the smoke by the traffic really the impact is everywhere for us even if you do have power youre probably going to smell the smoke right obviously theres the mandatory evacuations on up in the north bay for Sonoma County. But even those areas that are pretty good with their quality this morning probably not going to be so good into the afternoon because as winds calm down that smoke is just going to settle in for all of us and as should take hold across the interior the bay and then right along the coast because a lot of it worked its way into the pacific yesterday and now its going to push on shore and really just settle in with us. So the higher the number the darker the color, the worst the air on this map exactly so as you would expect youre seeing the worst air quality in the north bay around the king cake fire. Some surprisingly poor air quality right around the hercules down to richmond to this morning and the not so great either for San Francisco oakland berkeley. And over into lafayette where we had the fire yesterday see a lot of areas definitely still at this more so in that live shot that youre looking at behind graphic that gray is not small as not talk now that is smoke anything youre seeing today wont be fog. Yeah, that said theyre not going to see any fog today its going to be haze that youre picking up on. So definitely a avoid outdoor exposure too terribly much winds are already coming down. So yesterday you saw the smoke plume pushed out to the southwest, it was a solid direction that it was pushed out too so like smoke from the kincade fire push on right out towards the mountains and eventually out towards the coast today, its going to settle in and spread southward thats going impact you in marine county is calm winds are already being seen out here right across per in county napa this morning you actually of really good air quality calm winds already and youre going to see a an impact from that in the form of smoke settling down for yesterday we had the lafayette as well as in the car keena so youre already seeing air quality impacts out there and as winds continue to come down that smokes just going to stay with us so thats the biggest thing were talking about today is the Power Outages and then the poor air quality winds continue to come down. Were already saw wind advisories expiring as winds have fallen below that threshold we will see fire weather warnings and red flag warnings expiring at 11 00am today. So working our way in that right direction at leant for the moment were going to see this nice window of calm conditions before another wind event just around the corner, the 3rd and just this one week winds will pick back up tomorrow, especially midday in leading us into tomorrow night wednesday with gusts well into the 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour range for the north bay topping out at 50 Miles Per Hour. Yet another opportunity for the kincade fire to spread why those Evacuation Orders are still in effect and why fire crews are still so concerned about the next couple of days as far as the spread of this fire goes 50s to start the morning for most of the day were going to see 70s for your highs this afternoon. So for those of you without power at least you dont have to worry about excessively hot conditions. We can handle 70s for daytime highs, ive got more information about the windy conditions that were still about to see still ahead. Robert thank you john checking in on your morning commute and were taking a peek at the golden gate. Your drive from the north bay to San Francisco quite busy right. We have a lot of folks heading south on one oh one making into San Francisco. No problems just some minor crowding its only a 21 minutes to make it to the toll plaza. Were checking the bay bridge 80 west keep in mind that youre recovering from an injury accident that we had here in the your backee up officially through the maze and now its heavy coming off the upper deck from fremont street as well merging onto the skyway but we are still hot spot free. West is recovering from a crash right there in the maze that bump jumped almost 30 minutes, making it from crockett and then west 24th, 5 80 and the nimitz all looking pretty good as you head into downtown Oakland James started. Worried about Sarah Stinson is in areas in windsor and santa rosa where you cant go and firefighters and media are the only ones allowed she was looking at some houses that burned down and it looks like she fell on fire that just started to catch fire, lets find out is that correct sheriff. Went to go see if everything was ok we saw glowing this back there. Is just completely engulfed in flames. Its unclear if they will pool or affect their but is on fire. One time decks on fire. And its encroaching on the home at this point. Looks like its on fire. Least the back side of it the front side of it is completely intact. So we called 9 one and just everyone knows or call 911 and we talk to them theyre on their way right now. Told us you know it. They are distance which we are we are. Up to the flames were to some distance. On their way to this home at 5 9 oh 5. Might be here right now. This is just so said you guys going up this. Homes that have just been completely devastated. And on both sides of the road. So sad to see obviously we know now and up to the number of homes that have been burned 41 home. And just about a 100 homes that have been damaged were going talk to firefighters right now. Well send back to you as were going to move and get out of the way and say okay, this is the scene here. Thank you syria. We just pulled it up and that is a pool. She said it looked like a back a home at a pool and was on fire yeah there it is right in the center of your screen. So sarah was located on shiloh ridge road which is right at the bottom of the screen and then you can see the driveway that she saw the fire truck. That pickup truck pull into to get to that home. Lets slide the map up just a little bit because other way because she was just at. Again right the bottom your screen shoes in that home that was the home where we last visited with sarah and it was burned to the ground good it just the entryway was there i won big planter but the whole thing was was Virginia Graham and twisted metal and you saw. A little bit of fire there but the home was already gone and she said ok this is not. You know considered a hot spot. I dont think its going to flare up so she started driving down the street thats when she found the neighbors house right down to the next house up you know child ridge road sad to say. Hopefully they can get some resources there maybe prevent the entire. A home from burning down i dont know what exactly is burning neither to sara we just see the flames for the trees like you saw there a moment ago, but well keep you updated will visit with sarah once again. Back again the breaking news this morning here 7 17 is the fire that continues to burn in the north bay actually but were also following the south a Southern California fires to which is what youre seeing on your screen right close of a this is live look. Right now or oh no this but its also the 2 30 this morning la so the mentally put it up put a location on this. This video they are allies record earlier now weve got live pictures, its bright enough now that helicopters and our partner station ktla now has their chopper up and we can see some of the hills. And some of the homes that ephave burned and we do know that a handful of homes have been burned by this fire which is burning just north of sunset boulevard west of the 4 oh 5 burning in the westward direction. 250 acres in size its not huge, but it is are used you know when youre in la, its the rich and famous lebron james is in this neighborhood he evacuated about 4 oclock in the morning all of these homes, were hoping are already are vacant because they got the word. They said firefighters went door to door banging on their homes at around 3 45 this morning broke out at 2. 30 so by the time reach this neighborhood were hoping that they would made sure that everybody got out, but they were evacuating in the dark in the middle night and as they as they pull out here you can get a better look to how all the smoke is settling in. And it doesnt look as windy there either this morning doesnt know, but again were expecting winds to pick up later this week we know for the bay area in trying see what the forecast is for those santa ana winds down in Southern California. So were tracking that well continue to follow that of course closer to home were following the fires here burning around the bay are not just dont forget. Theres also fires elsewhere to we had one break out in vallejo fueled by the strong winds in fact, heres video of that fire that burned near homes in glen cove and that area jump interstate a force of parking as bridge to close for a time. The fire also burned on the campus of the California Maritime Academy as well one Maintenance Building winner, stan was gutted several cars destroyed. Lanes on the bridge eventually reopened but it took about 3 hours before that happened the fire near crockett also burning that one about 200 acres in size so between that fire and then there was a door to actually small fires. In lafayette. The roof caught fire home and 2 outbuildings in lafayette. So between all of those it was a mess yesterday people were evacuated from the late whole it is the her while they fight these fires and they successfully you can see the crews, they put them out pretty quickly this is the tennis club and blow so is only a 5 acre fire but it did enough damage there well and in lafayette, its really scary when fires break out because not only are a lot of hills and canyons and communities nestled into him but theres only one windy road out. That connects to highway 24. So if they need to evacuate. Need to give people enough warning to be able to navigate and crush that one little street that takes to 24 so they had to put the warning out quickly and people knew you had to get out quick those now the crews to get out there said there were power lines that were down in that area so we which wonder is what caused the fire remember in geyserville the power had already cut. But then they found some power lines that were active transmission lines. And those part like 10 minutes before the fire broke out so here in lafayette fire broke out found out lines are going to wonder whether or not power was out in effect caused the fire. Around and now 2 Million People in Northern California. This is another area where theres a fire southern martinez, this was just a 50 acre one and its because the firefighters just get out there and get knocked down quickly as they and there were evacuations for a time but those since been lifted so those folks are allowed back home. This fire reported around 4 in the afternoon yesterday crews from Oakland Hayward they all jumped into it along with khan fire to they put crews on it quickly and were able get put out without any structures being damage so thats the good news there if youre not affected by it a firearm Evacuation Order youre probably going to be affected by smoke. And here on the kron 00 04am morning news as we give you the very latest on the kincade fire which is now grown even more. Since we went on the air this morning we got the latest numbers and now its 66 1000 plus acres and at least 40 homes. Among the 100 structures destroyed well be right back january 21st is national hugging day. But you do more than just give hugs, you care for everyone. And aarp is here to help. With tools to navigate the realities of caregiving. Think of it as one big hug. Take on today with aarp. On this monday morning returning to work with calmer winds today, but also some very hazy conditions you can make out that haze a little bit here at the Lick Observatory special if you look around. Along the horizon, right there you can see a bit of an orange glow and just that look to the haze that we do have a its really going settle in across the bay as winds calm down still under red flag warnings for much of the bay but not for much longer, theyll expire at 11 00am this morning after which point we will be free of red flag warnings and wind advisories but only temporarily as a 3rd wind event is expected to kick up tomorrow night lasting through wednesday, as for temperatures a lot cooler for many of us that do not have power. This is good news, no 80s or 90s today. So at least you can be comforted by the fact that hey its going to be comfortable this afternoon but dont spend too much time outside with air quality is poor as it is about to be tomorrow and wednesday as i mentioned our windiest of days in this forecast will come down gradually through wednesday by thursday a much calmer halloween just around the corner. Temperatures will remain a much more seasonable ahead of us with highs only in the 70s. Robert. All right if you get the bay bridge traffic folks heading into San Francisco still getting stuck in a backup that spills all all the way through the maze remember earlier was only at the bottom of the maze will now its on to 5. 80. Its on to the shore so it has definitely grown and that short time youre looking at 15 minutes into San Francisco. Heres a new crash. North one wanted in san jose, its blocking its stacked up from 85 and it stays heavy through downtown and little stretches of the peninsula, so 57 minutes now san jose to menlo park. All right thank you very much robert. News thousands of structures remain threatened from the kincade fire as it burns over 50 will now over 66,000 acres we have nearly 80,000 structures threat were going to close look some of the damage coming up. All right and were back. Taking a look at some of the live cameras this morning where we can see a lot of smoke beginning to settle into the valleys and thats going to be one of the concerns today as the winds calm. Which great news for firefighters. Its bad news for air quality because the wind is not being flushed out of the bay area in fact its going to be settling down into the lower lying. Locations and you can definitely see that here in this picture we may be able we can click on another picture, thats also in the area and we can do that at the moment, but there is a lot of flames high. In some of the right a right corner you can see some of that red glow and thats going to be a lot more visible once we start training our cameras there, but look at smoke its going to be credible weve got a lot of evacuations happening right now me of the video which shows the situation as it was playing out overnight and are we have some new numbers this morning we should probably go down. Yeah, this kincade fire in Sonoma County has mushroom to 66,200 acres. And we also know that more structures have been burned to the ground including 40 holmes. Theyre just gone, weve seen a lot of them live this morning. Either just destroyed are going up in flames before our eyes with kron 4 Sarah Stinson on the scene there and winds are in the unincorporated area looks like a Sonoma County. The total on structures that have been burned completely destroyed 96 and that includes 40 homes. But there are another 80,000 structures threatened thats why were seeing so many people james on the move almost 200,000 people over the weekend have been forced to evacuate yeah that mandatory evacuation zone has really grown. Since friday over the weekend we saw it go from just this little top corner which included the town of geyserville to now this entire area that stretches all the way out to the coast. And all the way down one on one 2 you get into northern portions of santa rosa and these are the fires the spot fires that have broken out over the course of the weekend. The color coding indicates how old the flames are so the lighter the color. The older that fire which means closer to when it originally broke out late last week the redder dots these are the new fires and you can see it definitely is moving in the direction south and towards the southwest which puts a dangerously close to some of these communities along one o one thats why we had thousands of people evacuated from healdsburg over the weekend. Winds are and now northern portions of santa rosa, lets focus in on that just so that if youre in santa rosa. You know what the situation is currently were talking about the northern sections of santa rosa we had one zone which include includes a lot of the Fountain Grove communities and then the other zone that to erupted overnight that was included in the match or evacuation area includes portions just to the west to want to one in the coffey park area both of those neighborhoods were evacuated and suffered significant damage in the last fire 2 years ago the tubbs fire and look these areas just to the west of santa rosa as you get into the hills here. Those also part of the mandatory evacuation. So its no wonder that we saw crush of traffic over the weekend are with folks streaming south on 1, towards points east. And south namely in San Francisco and beyond. Whats crazy is that there are streaming in areas that had no power remember pg word is in this forest outage mode. 2 Million People in all of Northern California area have no power right now so a lot of these people are trying to find shelters still right now meantime, as we said that very active fire continues to shoot through acres and burned out homes and Sarah Stinson has seen that happen before her eyes. Siri you just called 911 out to one of the homes in the Windsor Santa rosa area. That you saw burn down is at the new crew the fresh crew behind you. Call 911 here to shiloh ridge road and they got on first at a spot or come by and he called for backup. You can see just how smoky it is right now. That we saw some haziness some glowing and what we saw was this explosion, i mean theres room in flames in the backyard with a pool is in the dec. And it just kept going and going call 911 we said we think this house is within minutes. A burning down. All the hot spots are out. But it seems like. Image to the walls around the home on the back yard. Looks like it was just contained to the back yard so what is safe here. Thank goodness because obviously we showed you. And now you can even hear them with us so was there making sure that they can hot spots and burn down trees because these trees. We see it we just saw tree. A collapse that was on fire to the right of us yes, so thats what theyre doing right now theyre making sure and that doesnt spread to other home that this whole can stay in touch because this is a really beautiful home. 3 cargo. Had a pool that and down but were talking if you just have a backyard that burned down compared to yours. The good news, i guess you could say and thank goodness these people left when they did that mandatory evacuation or not everyone is taking that seriously some people are staying behind and i can tell you from being up here. Really put you in danger and when it does is it takes away from the work that cal fires doing up here. 4,000 firefighters trying to make sure they can contain the kincade fire. You can see the other side. Its all charge. You can see theres a dozer line from when they were putting out the fire up here. Of smoke is just super smoky appear much more smoky and when youre down in windsor or down in healdsburg this is probably the smoke is some scene up here especially since the fire is just burning at that home. Owner pp address 5, 9 oh 5. Now well send back to you. You were doing the report just get their neighbors. House which was already burned to the ground. Another house gone. All right sarah. Thank you so much ines air continues to explore the area there will try to give you more updates on some of the other homes. That hopefully escape the flames will help for the in this case kron fours really way that you can know because youre not allowed back into those neighborhoods whether or not a home standing or not we always get out the address is right. So you can tell your friends as well if you hear that address on kron 4 also want to show you this map here this was put out by the National Weather service its a forecast of the smoke and what its going do today. This loop runs through 08 00pm tonight and as john was saying how he was suspecting the smoke may filter back down into San Francisco in the bay by later on today right watch as the smoke. It kind of curls up and then it kind of sinks backed down into San Francisco and the bay as we head into the later afternoon and evening hours yet the worry when it comes to air quality and so when the wind was whipping it was within the flames now the wind is not whipping and now the problem is all the smoke is going to settle over shot yes going to say right back in there guys and you can see how just spreads across the bay in the northern part of the central valley, too. So were going to see some hazy skies today thats really the only bad thing about the calmer winds and all other aspects its really good that winds are calming down. But now im not all that smoke is billowing out towards the coast. In fact some of that smoke that has gathered out out off the coast is going to just settle right into the bay today so youre going to feel it as youre stepping outside may want to limit outdoor exposure were alrey seeing. Calmer winds right now so the process of that smoke settling in is about to really start occurring as you can see all across the north bay we have calm winds and Sarah Standing up there. As shes definitely experiencing some of that smoke right now as are all of you youre going to start to see more smoke impact in marine county which has actually been pretty free of it has up to this point as is napa in vacaville you seen some clear skies but thats about to change today, youre going to notice hazier conditions right now conquered martinez walnut creek on up to the youre all definitely smelling it is youre stepping outside you had a 2 fires a lafayette man on one the cartoon as bridge yesterday that smokes already settled in for you and its going to stay put today as winds remain calm, so today even though fire danger is diminishing red flag warnings expiring at 11 00am we are going to be seeing an impact from those calmer winds in regards to smoke settling with us after todays calm conditions we look at winds picking back up tomorrow. So a calm break today, Good Opportunity for cruz to gain the upper hand on the fire in the north bay then we work into tomorrow and the kincade fire could spread again due to these winds picking backup midday tomorrow and especially being seen windy on into tomorrow night and wednesday arthur wind event in just a matter of a week here not going to be quite a significant as our weekends wind event though this will be shorter lived with about 24 hours were going to be seeing max winds and winds only topping out at 50 Miles Per Hour this time around as opposed to the 70 to 80 Miles Per Hour gusts that we had over the weekend. But as you can see here Strong Enough of winds 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour gusts regularly for portions of sonoma and napa counties today much cooler than we have been this is definitely good news in that. Those of you without power dont have to worry about 80s 90s for your highs. It will at least a comfortable into the afternoon in the 70s definitely not near as hot as we have been seeing it robin all right, thank you john and as a reminder you mentioned the winds just watch out for the debris and all the stuff. That scattered across the roads in the freeways this morning i saw lot of objects scattered around i was driving 24. The e short coming out of put all your averaging 12 minutes to make it in here pick up some numbers and i dont see any major hot spots just some growing numbers than nimitz 52 minutes san leandro to milpitas and check out one on one i told you about the crash northbound at helier thats still working that bump to up to 93 minutes from san jose to menlo park james started. All right. Thank you robin and a quick reminder. He would this thing up so now the kincade fire is more than 50 so sorry 66,000 acres and its still only 5 contained they got better handle 10 on friday and then you know the winds whipped up ive percent more structures are burned we can confirm now that 40 homes have burned to the ground now. Sonoma county just getting ravaged by this fire to try to get a better perspective on the situation. With the kincade fire never and the efforts to try keep everybody safe. Were joined on the phone this morning by Lynda Hopkins shes one of the Sonoma County supervisors miss hopkins, thank you so much for sharing some of your time with us this morning. I cry morning morning, whats been the most difficult sing about this so far this weekend. And you know its just it changes minute by minute and so challenging for residents to it that we have much different from the fire fight has undergone mandatory evacuation for peter and theyre wondering wider shot of the home. Meanwhile, we have president in a panic over night because that was major firefight 1000 when theres a fire threat our feels like yeah, but actually burned in 2017. And so that the panic of fact that in 2. Their home. But look rebuilt and now theyre facing down that same feeling of pride and timing and what about the fact that a lot of them ending with 200,000 people on the run theres. Theres going to be problem county has been trying to take him in people are for it with friends and families would have you heard about people saying i get i cant find a place to go. Currently have 7 other shelters at capacity, but the good news is that our county has really stepped up to help we actually now have 8 new shelters that are open for evacuees and you can find boko emergency dot org. We have actually in Sonoma County other apple. Mean out yet our way as if so i think marys cathedral. And with added that your your first 7 are all full of people out. We been completely at capacity and we also people have a couple that are open for large animals blocked senate about station of livestock and parked off though. If you are out a couple years ago for the big fires we had back then it just its still i find it amazing that everybody has orderly in early fashion evacuated. We dont have any reports of people missing or injured no fatalities in appears as though the vast majority people have heeded the calls too evacuate and it looks as though this is running a lot smoother then it was 2 years ago that your assessment as well. Thing is that we did have noted im the fire left hand anyone had seen overnight and so we did have opportunity to get people out im very grateful. For the fact that we have been able to have these large scale that very orderly about weekend and by and large people were very polite, you know. I have friends are stuck in traffic for hours for private minute. To or heat and so on from. Where where was that big backup. That was actually after and back weekend. Its about voters really have couple of leave out at either high with 16 and the traffic was just time. Im real. Oh my god. The traffic on one oh one just right ahead and you know from the north bay. In them are in and then over the Golden Gate Bridge was really a mess over the weekend. We have a lot of folks who are in being with friends and family at hotel in the greater bay area right now but grateful for all of the counties are taking their share county is nearly 200,000 to me. So as one of the supervisors, their act you have to have your finger on the pulse of the emergency response, the communication back and forth have you found that communication between cal fire and the multitude of agencies that are coordinating the firefighting effort has that been running smoothly being kept up to date you feel on the situation there. Absolutely you know you bailey public thinking for a second am cant for sure information with their fire partner regarding the fire fight. And we are being kept in the loop on a regular beat that you know we also get reports from can take mind off of hearing for pet. Eye off the for. Firefighters fire chief said theyre all competing at information well, okay. And you feel the day you get all the back of the need are you calling on moore aid as well on the fire lines. Oh my goodness we have swanson with 8 which had been so fantastic the only that we have been able honestly the town of windsor and that people tried last night and because of the overwhelming response. It now neutral 8 event which means that were getting firefighters from out of the state. It is so heartwarming to go down to the incident command post and the firefighters on the if i or check the weather california they get were in and we could not be. Are grateful to all of the firefighters of compounds and the final the help they know county right. And then one last question before we let you go you know the firefighters say theyre extremely grateful that people got out when they were told to so that they could put their equipment and personnel in place to fight those fires and keep them from coming into town. But we also have reports of people have also decided theyre going to stay behind. And with their garden hose trying to fend their own property. If theyre watching this morning what would be your message to them. Firefighters are risking their lives to protect home. And its unfair for people to stay because that the firefighters went up are live to 80 people. But when change enough threaten your on my front running the lakeland firefighter and think about the impact the firefighters families so said you people cannot to think about out. But i think about the First Responders because every human who would behind. Its causing a threat to a firefighter like yeah. You said your friend was a you know experiencing all that traffic and destruction part of evacuations where you live or you affect in any way by this. I am mandatory evacuation so love it, cant believe how it tell him i but i read course also we have no power, no guy and mandatory evacuation right now. Oh my gosh. Ok so you know firsthand whats going on. And your county thank you so much for giving us the update there shes on the phone. Riser and shes out of her. In on county supervisor Lynda Hopkins and we thank her for a time hopefully well get to visit again as we you a couple live pictures from outside showing us the situation with fires but more partly the smoke to because thats having farreaching effects across the entire bay area this shot in particular from the north bay gives us another look at that as the smoke begins to settle you can see the thin blue across the top where the air is a little bit clear but just below that all that pink that orange that rust color thats all the smoke. Thats now being lit up by the Early Morning sun and you can see filtering into the valleys and look here at the Golden Gate Bridge at a certainly phil ting in filtering into the bay as well so expect the air quality to get what weve heard even worse when you go from marin county into San Francisco as john said its its right by the coast all that bad air is going to be. Moving in are theyre San Francisco. Look at that so dont know of anybody who has a breathing condition alum go outside today. Sarahs last tuition payment, sent off. Feeling good . Oh yeah. Now im ready to focus on my project. This is why we plan. You never cease to amaze me, maya. See how investing with a j. P. Morgan advisor can help you. Visit your local chase branch. Im darya folsom and im James Fletcher the breaking news this morning of course the situation.
