Looks like guys are bills been spared. Yeah which is the fortunate news now there are still embers blowing around out there. Despite the fact the winds of calm so the threat is still in existence. And so kaiser feel still cordoned off nobody allowed back in i want to illustrate once again. The evacuation area and also the intensity of the fire were getting a better handle on that as well and thats what this map shows us on both those levels but will begin with evacuations as we zoom in here on the map and give you a closer and look as i mentioned the town of guys are bill still under mandatory Evacuation Orders there it is along highway one oh one. The majority of the evacuated area, however, as you can see our into the hills east of one oh one but for guys fill and a certain stretch north and south about 5 miles or so youre not allowed there until they get a better handle on the actual fire and thats what these red dots illustrate each one represents a hot spot that theyre currently battling and the size of the fire indicator, the size of the circle indicates the intensity of the fire. The heat that its put a putting off their they took. Heat sensitive camera out there and they theyre of the find that the hottest spots were burning in these most difficult ridges where theyre having a hard time getting ground crews into position because its such tough terrain so they have a new attack those from the air but as you can see there are a lot of hot spots that theyre having to battle all at once and theyre all continuing to burn in all directions, its going to be real tough time for them and today really is their one and only day to try and get ahead of this before the big winds return come this weekend aria. So lets see how theyre doing that from the air and from the ground kron fours will tran is live near the fire lines in geyser ville and now youve got the mask on well so its get smoke here breathing is absolutely nasty at this time we dont see the huge towering flames that we saw yesterday but look at the damage 49 buildings and homes went up in flames and this one not too far from that towering flames that we saw yesterday morning exactly 24 hours ago in this home did not have a chance look at this theres nothing saved it is just the rubble of debris. Everywhere you look it looks like it is just like a bomb hit it instead, we know a fire raced through this area in fact let me show you some video and give you the latest numbers this morning, were looking at 1300. Firefighters and by sometime today possibly late this morning nick, it throws 700 more. Firefighters to the scene this is that one of the Top Priorities in the state kinkaid fire which broke out late wednesday. And just car served up this remote area that within hours. They turned into 10,000 acres. Grew 6,000 acres yesterday so were sitting at least 16,000 acres that went up in flames and we will get an update in about an hour from now from cal fire to give us the very latest numbers. But the good news is it looks like there are no missing. People out there theyre not getting any reports of that we also do know that no injuries to firefighters are any fatalities faithfully for that. For some reason james, and area, maybe you can possibly explain it me im not sure but we dont see the flames but for some reason its feels and smells even smoke here. They needed yesterday saw its racing up the hillside, you can hear the aircraft in this video here and we do know that aircraft is one of the tools that they plan to use and they will probably be up at sunrise. Because this fire is racing through a very mo aas. But for some reason i dont see the huge flames but it is smoky or than its ever been over the past 24 hours. Obviously we are in it area that is being locked down by 5 the chp and other nearby Police Agencies as guys kill police that they have their hands full so only the media. To be back at this location. And for many people james darya theres no reason for them to come back because theres nothing left back to you. Yeah, its interesting you mention that will get with. The downside of not having winds is the fact you cant mix out the air. The smoke just settles in the valley, so you have well and everybody else out there kind of Walking Around in the soup of smoke, yeah, get can get blown out until this weekend at them. Fire risk goes up when the wind so does well yeah thats why its so smoky sorry out ab you can see the destroyed area behind him again that said the where the fire started which is not in geyser ville which is on people to know were out of their homes that no was structures have burned as far as we know in guys, yeah and as for the origin of the fire higher up in the hills, the question is what sparked it right because we knew pga shut off power of the area so could the pga might not transmission tower at maybe it could be looks like the gene did fault or was it the cause thats still the question. But the company did send a report to the California PublicUtilities Commission saying that there was a transmission outage in the fire area less than 10 minutes before the fire started. The report says that there was a broken part on one of pg transmission towers again at the site of the origin of the fire. The utility says. Yes it did turn poweff to the lines. The distribution lines that go to peoples homes and businesses before the fire started that we knew but the complete company did not be energized the transmission lines was larger lines with the big towersbecause the weather conditions that forecast wind speeds werent Strong Enough to warrant shutting those down because theres a much higher threshold for those but pg e seo is defending that decision now in hindsight. Pg e says that theyre working with cal fire to determine. If it was in fact their equipment that caused the fire. Lets get back to that smoke. And john you heard will asking you know because he was up there yesterday. And he said its smoke here today and theres no wind and thats the reason why thats exactly the reason why the wind. The only good thing about it is it does help to lift the smoke out of the region today as winds settle down which is a good thing. Unfortunately, the smoke is going to settle down with we are going to see smoke actually getting even farther into the north bay. To in all the way down to San Francisco some point yeah and any remaining winds which are light are blowing it to the south so you are actually seeing on the smoke map right here least by the National Weather service were already starting to see that plume making its way south of later today. Its going to settle in the sonoma are in napa counties and then filtering into the rest to pay so people have trouble breathing if you already have respiratory problems and the extra all the extra young. Those but vulnerable to a smoker going want to stay indoors today exactly today, a good day to stay inside take it easier. If you are probably already planning on doing that because its going to be so hot out there, but the world the air quality on top of that is really just going to be that exor factor that makes not want to go outside so much on this friday conditions were already likely going to be porous far as air quality because we have High Pressure in place. So we were going to have smog already but smoke on top of this does just make the situation even worse the worse impact as we mentioned just a minute ago will be for the north bay but really this pour air quality filtering all across the bay area. So all of us watching this morning will have some impact from poor air quality is High Pressure. Early results and sinking air just pushes all that smoke right down on to the surface winds are calm today which as i mentioned means that smokes going to stay with us as we make our way into tomorrow winds are going to pick up this is not good news for wildfires or fire conditions in general tomorrow night is when the winds will really start to kick up again and into sunday. Theyre going to spread all across the day, breezy conditions, especially for the north bay though with winds regularly gusting to 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour. Peak gusts. Well in excess of that 70 Miles Per Hour which means high wind advisories as well as fire weather watch is taking effect again tomorrow night so were taking a break from all these conditions today. Its still hot and dry a good chance for cruz hopefully get the upper hand on the kinkaid fire. Before tomorrow and those winds pick up on into tomorrow night as for temperatures today just as hot as yesterday for many areas, 60s and 70s for now 80s by noon time for a lot of bay area spots and then upper 80s to low 90s into the afternoon hot but common definitely smoky for this friday. James all right john thank you lets get back. News john touched on at the winds picking up this weekend and pg alrey putting the word out that they love could very well shut off power to large sections of the bay area as a result. Of those windy conditions, heres their map again. And once more theyve colored in areas where theyre looking at very closely in terms of shutting off power large sections of the north bay, the Santa Cruz Mountains to the south the peninsula hills are right along the coast. The east bay in fact, lets zoom in there. It looks like weve got Alameda County big sections of it right along the east bay hills that could have power shut off beginning were told as early as 05 00pm saturday and lasting through 02 00pm monday. So all of sunday could be without power in t same focora costa county as we slide the maps a little more to the east large sections of the diablo the hills around out blown of course lastrapes hills that border, a 6 80 all the way down to pleasanton looks like your power may potentially be shut off early as 10 00pm saturday night. And last through 02 00pm monday. So again all of sunday for you and half of monday could be without power pg also considering off off power course to the north and the pencil as well as you saw in the wider view of brace yose lks like e mao were in for a repeat of what we have 2 weeks ago, although by most accounts the winds this time around could be Even Stronger daria. Thats why krondon and this is going to be a busy weekend. And a lot of news could happen that you need to know about so download the kron on mobile app that we on your mobile device. He keep that charged up and when you dont have power, you cant least see all thtest ns that you need its 24 7, streaming and theres no pay while you can download that for free robin alright freeze my lets over to 92 are checking in on the san mateo bridge. Its going to be a busy commute here from hayward over to the peninsula, no prom comes just a crowded commute so you have a lot of company on the flat section but as usual. It improves at the high. The bay bridge traffic thats pretty heavy to your stacked up officially from west grand and slow right up the incline but overall a decent friday morning commute into San Francisco. Three generations of clothes cleaned in one wash. Anybody seen my pants . 1 stain and odor fighter, 1 trusted. Its got to be tide. And weve got wall to wall coverage of the fire in Sonoma County which has grown now to 16,000 acres. It is 5 contained which it means that you know its pretty much out of control and thats why they are not allowing anybody to go back in the guys are hill. Even though no structures were destroyed there they do say 49 structures have been destroyed by this fire because remember it started to the north of guys are hill about half of those are a little less than half our homes, nobody has been hurt. And again everybody is still under Evacuation Orders. The media are the only ones allowed into those evacuation zones. And were also right there in the neighborhoods that were wiped out by this fire about 21 homes. They think were destroyed including a one from in family a long time and that was destroyed, but theyre okay. As for those that have been evacuated some staying at evacuation shelters looks like theyre going hunker down there for just a little bit longer. The good news is though there is room. There is room we just found. Forza christine the teacher is live at at the Evacuation Center back this morning in hillsborough where you heard sad stories from the people who are all already still rebuilding from the last. Devastating yesterday was here about 8 hours and i would say there are about a dozen. Different people who said you know this is very much deja vu for that they were here for the Sonoma County fire shes. 2 years ago, one gentleman and his wife and their 2 schnauzer ers coly lost their home they still have not been able to rebuild it theyre living out of an rv and in this scenario they had to run from the fire yesterday in that same rv they had to buy that or theyre still living in so pyoure youre going to hear these stories when it comes to devastation like a wildfire people using all of their homes. But the good news is to there are these Evacuation Center set up and here at the holzberg Community Center its been kind of the main hub for evacuees and there is some good news. They still have not a capacity they didnt even hit yesterday either there are some cars available. Actually just got word from American Red Cross that there are 63 cots available here and the hills for Community Center and thats not just for people overnight, if you need to come here and rest during the day. Resources are available for you as well. Its going take a look at 2 of the other Evacuation Centers here in town and in the greater a Sonoma County area that are available for people first and foremost i want to show you the santa rosa. Veterans Memorial Building that is open for people families and anyone needing any services now lets go ahead and cut over to the Sonoma County fairgrounds they also are available as an Evacuation Center. The very specifically to their available to house any large head. So were thinking forces here a lot of people. Rangers that have larger animals that they need tending to so they can go ahead and bring them to the fairgrounds as well you know when it comes these Evacuation Centers. The mayor here in hillsborough has really said one mean sentiment. He wants everyone to make sure they keep up with their updates and leave your homes quicker than you think you need to always be ready and even if its just for a few hours come to an Evacuation Center just make sure you have a good peace of mind to make sure that everything is set up for you free, so you do have. Place to make sure to call home and during this fire. But again as is just more information they have not capacity capacity here to help Community Center would be 180 people and they so how at one time by the way 180 people all in time and they have not had that about 58 people right now finishing up their nights rest. Breakfast here started around 6 30 this morning and the American Red Cross representative that i just spoke with said, they say probably after breakfast, theyre going to be more spots available because people are going to be leaving for work so there are some resources left youre available for everyone in hillsborough reporting live christina tetreault. Christina what do they think of. A lot of people are because that tell us about 2000 people and you said theres only you know 60 or something there where is everybody. So this is one thing that a lot of people said they said if there live up here in Sonoma County. Theyre kind of used to fire evacuation. So a lot of people have. Resources are other home set up so you know neighbors and friends that live more south of a kind of retreat to also we have a large group of people that live up here who family down in the Central Valley. So theyre kind of going down 99, heading to Central Valley where its definitely in the safe zone for the time being. Have people just here overnight but not during the day because their work. And i actually learned this is something i didnt know weve got a lot of overnight vineyard workers people who cant work in the heat of the day. Fire conditions during the day work with been kind of moved out of the way because of the fire. So there are people here who are sleeping during the day but not using it at night. Opening up different com available spaces depending on which are the day it is so that again help that number fluctuates. I say yeah all right, thanks a lot. Christine i love people to stay family good information there were also got the winds are going to be concerned about as we head into the weekend because its going to give us 2 problems one. Its going to smoked a debate potentially into it could prompt geneva shut power also its all about the winds Going Forward and to bring in yow that smoke in a win when think will start smelling here closer in san francis i think closer to San Francisco and right on top of a in general probably this afternoon this morning not hearing a lot of people talking about smelling it just yet at least as far as the bay is concerned obviously head up into the north bay. And from santa rosa northward even seeing it as well as selling it as far as as this morning goes, it is Crystal Clear out there not seeing much evidence of smoke just yet what we will see though is definitely some hazy skies this afternoon. So yeah thats when you really want to step inside. Thats already when ozone levels will be the highest yet and smoke on top of that and smog from the High Pressure sitting over head. And you know you dont have a good recipe for those of us with respiratory conditions, especially now 50s and 60s is where were starting this morning for most areas of the bay. A lot of spots in the north they actually very chilly. Look at santa rosa at 47 degrees right now yesterday santa rosa was in the 70s. So this is a big cool down for north bay areas you can think the winds for that as they come down overnight. We did have that opportunity for temperatures to cool down humidity again very low for the north bay. The good news is the winds will be calm so even though will be hot and dry this afternoon without that 3rd factor being the winds. Hopefully crews up in the north bay do have that opportunity to get the upper hand the fire burning up there now tomorrow that is not going to be the case, although we start com tomorrow night winds pick back up and is going to be very windy, not just tomorrow evening. But through the day on sunday and even into monday morning. So this is a prolonged wind event and not just an isolated one either this is widespread winds gusting well into a 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour range regularly with peak wind gusts anywhere from 6070 mile per hour plus especially in those mountain tops so this is that opportunity for cruz to get an upper hand on the fire before winds pick back up tomorrow and we do see high wind advisories unlikely red flag warnings going back into place. Tomorrow night all day sunday on into monday, our highest fire danger days just around the corner. Todays highs just as warm as yesterdays and its still very dry. So high of a high fire danger does remain that extreme fire danger of yesterday really started to die down at least temporarily before winds pick back up tomorrow. Tomorrow going to be a cooler day than today with sunday, even cooler yet cant look at temperatures though when it comes to fire danger really were talking the winds and sunday is going to be the windiest day regardless of the fact its going to be cooler high fire danger does still exist. Monday things really come down and this is good news for monday on it looks like conditions should be much better for getting back outside great news for halloween just around the corner in sight now. But as far as the weekend goes. Maybe delay. Those plans for now stay inside with poor air quality hot temperatures and strong winds. Robin. Lets check in on our bridges because they are pretty busy and pack we have 92, this is your drive across the 70 oh bridge and that crawl its going to start well before the toll plaza as you see it is pretty much spills along the flat section continuing all all the way up and over the high rise so very busy commute to the peninsula. But no big problems for you right now well put it at 18 minutes, were checking the bay bridge there. It is its 80 west into San Francisco already stacked up this goes back to west grand. It has not reach the maze not yet probably going to get there but he still have plenty of time carpool lanes are great cash lanes of fast track lanes slow that stays with you up to him klein we are hot spot free. No special alerts and youre getting a break since its friday. So its not too bad out there 17 minutes for the east shore wide open on 24. Take a look a these pictures. The last update has the fire now 4,000 acres in size. Again only 5 contained much like the fire we have here in our neck of the woods, the fire has also forced the mandatory evacuation of 50,000 people in the Santa Clarita area and those living near the fire have been told to stay vigilant. The king cake fire which has grown now since we covered yesterday another 6,000 or so acres at 16,000 acres plus. And everybody in geyser ville is still out of their homes theyre not allowed back in even though we understand that those homes are okay. But we dont know how out is going to take a while to battle this ltoday, the win einds really are going to be whipping up tomorrow thats why on the right you can see were facing possible more power outage should pgd than one of spark any other fires becoming the new reality. Lets start with our coverage of both of those stories beginning with a contained fire get to the nuts and bolts on where it stands right now appear geyser ville as daryn mentioned 16,000 acres in size, but only 5 containment of this expected to grow right and we know more about the number of structures damaged because they get up there with their helicopters and planes and assess to yesterday 49 structures, including a little less than half of them. They think our home so 49 structures could be 21 of those our residential but the good news is nobody has reported missing. Nobodys reported hurt because of this wildfire that is burning. It was fanned by really strong of the winds. The night it started on wednesday night and those winds are expected to pick up again tomorrow so todays going to be a big day to make some progress today, lets hope they can get that done get that 5 number up. Heres the map once again yesterday we really dont dove deep into this because it showed us the area. That was evacuated. Now its also showing us the area where the fires are burning too well zoom and all break down both first the evacuation areas we take a closer and look as our daryn mention the town of guys that feel still under that mandatory Evacuation Order in that town sits right there as you can see the mandatory evacuation zone has come right up to guys are real and includes a section 1 one from about 5 miles north of 5 miles south of the town of guys are ville and then as we zoom in closer want to point out the new layer that this map has today that we did see yesterday which was where all the hot spots the fire is burning right now and what theyve done with this map is theyve indicated just how intense some of these he pockets are by changing the size of the circle so is pushing once more and get a little bit closer and you can see now with this map just how intense some of these fires are burning really hot right in the middle of the map and then it sort of dissipates as it goes out, but still awfully hot and look at the sheer number of fires that firefighters are battling right now all of these nestled into these little nooks and crannies of the ridge lines this is really tough terrain and so widespread that all the resources are being spread thin on the ground with the bulldozers and hand crews. So theyre really having to lot of aircraft a lot of helicopters dropping fire retardant and water where they can to try to stop the progress of this fire and as daryn mentioned todays the day because beyond today, the winds pick back up and the fire threat. Again goes through the roof. All right so lets take a look at how things are going so far as far as the fire fight goes kron 4 Sarah Stinson is live near the fire lines in geyser veil. Sarah whats going on right now. On standing at one of the homes that burned down before mine as will get behind the camera so you can see for yourself. This is the beautiful mansion i saw yesterday burning its a million mansion and basically all thats left of it is the front side of very devastating you can see the pumpkins that are in front right there. And just a lot of debris. This is a a huge loss and me as we said earlier. Structures burned down and about half of them, they believed to be homes weve seen them with our own eyes. All scattered across kaiser ville fortunately the downtown area survive so some of those businesses are okay, but. Weve been trying to see if any wineries have the been impacted by this yesterday we saw a robber young was a very close call for them. This morning though were seeing that temperatures are very low. Were seeing the winds calming very calm. Downs compared to yesterday. So todays going to be the day for these firefighters to get the fireworks and under control make sure that it is. Made so that that they can get that control because basically once they get that far. They can have a better idea of how much containment they have thats the hard part though instances fire was so since ago when bought it north wasnt guys are ville wrapped around where the fire spread so that is their main really with fire crews this morning to see how. Arrest was made overnight. See how they planned on attacking it this morning. We saw yesterday those air drops definitely helped this morning driving around seen a few hot spots just little flares here and there. So a lot of Fire Fighters scattered along homes with their big trucks making sure that they can defend those homes well another fire. But in terms of where they well have to continue to follow that catch up with firefighters. But again main priority he is good enough. Sab lish making sure they get it wrapped all. And then they can containment number and then hopefully and you get the residents back in here that is probably the biggest concern for a lot of people want those Evacuation Centers. They probably just want to come home want to see how their homes are doing how their businesses are doing. Guys real Sarah Stinson kron 4 news, thanks. A lot sarah. Opg sent out a report to the California PublicUtilities Commission saying that there was a transmission outage in that fire area less than 10 minutes before the fire started the report also says that there was t broken part on one of p gs transmission towers where that fire. Initially started Utility Company saying it turned off power yes to the distribution lines go into peoples homes and businesses. But it did not energized the transmission lines because those towers in those cables are much stronger in the weather conditions need to be much more intense for them too trigger a shutdown and they say the forecast winds just didnt rise to that level pg e seo is defending that decision. Now pg says that they are working with cal fire to determine if in fact their equipment caused the fire. Smoke and what were going to see walking into the bay youre sinking by this afternoon. That smoke from sonoma couom frat fire is going to work is all the way down to San Francisco. Yes settle in so it was pushed aloft yesterday which often happens the first day of a fire break this High Pressure now its going to be pushed down and now we have less winds which is a good thing in many regards the bad thing about that though is its just going to stay with gradually going to and meander down through Sonoma County down into marine county by early afternoon. And then into the afternoon ahead of us all across the bay, you may even pick up on the smell just a little bit yeah youre going to see the haze overhead. And yeah, its definitely not going to be the ideal day to be doing a lot of outdoor activities, especially if you do suffer from respiratory conditions were going to see a mix of smog and smoke it likely would have already been plans this friday may have involved staying indoors already regardless of the air quality, some of the worst air quality is expected on up in the north bay should be surprised about that is the kinkaid fire burns in northern Sonoma County settling into areas like Sonoma Valley on into the marine had winds. But all of us going to be affected by not the best of air quality today. Winds remain light today into tonight and even into early tomorrow, but tomorrow night. They begin to pick back up and winds are going to be widespread very strong gusts as high as 70 Miles Per Hour on mountaintops and burgas regularly achieving 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour in areas like Sonoma Petaluma santa rosa and calistoga so this is what high fire danger really becomes an issue yet again were going to be looking at a mix of high wind watches and likely to be red flag warnings right now their fire weather watches all across the bay in similar areas to what we saw this last time around as for today are calm day in the midst of 2 very windy events yesterday as you remember, and then tomorrow into sunday, the next round of land, poor air quality, hot conditions. Those are the things you have to worry about today as daytime highs rise back into the upper 80s and low 90s. James, all right. Thank you john, lets talk more about those winds of the impacts you could have here for folks in the bay area namely. With the power pge says because of those high winds they are looking once again to do an intentional power shut off for large sections of the bay area this weekend. The map here is weve said in the wide view shows us. No matterre you are the north bay hills, the east bay, the peninsula where the south bay you are going to be impacted by these power shut off lets zoom in on the east because i want to point out that for Alameda County in Contra Costa County we have a lot of the hills that run basically from alameda all the way down towards fremont the east bay shoreline hills, those communities are going to see their power shut off potentially if youre in Alameda County, starting at 05 00pm saturday night lasting through 02 00pm monday afternoon thats a long stretch without power and again that doesnt necessarily mean the powers going to come back on at 02 00pm sunday. If thats just when they expect to start the re energizing process which could take another day or 2 before but hes fully restored then for cont costa county you can see the areas of coon that part of the east bay namely are for those hills right along 6. 80 and the last rumpus pree and thso al a lot of those hills around the out blow. Those communities in Contra Costa County may see their power turned off as early as 10 00pm saturday night to 02 00pm monday course complicating factors is that for a lot of school districts. This is homecoming weekend. So the question is will any of the events for saturday night like a homecoming dances be impacted by the it all depends on. If your particular school is in one of these power schaub areas and if the festivities can be completed before the power is turned off well have to wait and see but letoaden e once again ill just leave you again with that with the overall sense the message from pg weve got power shut off potential for the north bay of course with the fires burning the east bay, the peninsula hills and the hills surrounding the south bay. Brace yourself we could be in store for another very long weekend with another power shut off on the horizon daryn got to do all that stuff they say before the power shut off like getting water and batteries and. Making sure that your gas tank is full in your cars are all fueled up what if you have an electric car james same things you got to make sure that thats all charged up. Make sure that your mobile devices are charged up and they have the kron on app its free and if you put that on there than when youre on the go when you dont have power you will have that on your mobile device. Weve got 24 7 commercial free News Coverage on there. So that will tell you things like house the firehouse the air quality of course when are the power might come back on in your neighborhood. Robin all right. Thank you daryn lets check in on our bridges summer wide open. Others are completely cammed will head to the richmond sandra fell first, looks much heavier compared to the last time we took a peek at it, your backup spilling beyond return parkway little slow just west of the toll plaza but all is well by the time, he reached mid span so 12 minutes for your drive here. But the winds return tomorrow and thats where the concern is you guys have been talking about the power o iously kinkaid fire burning 5 contained yeah. Load over weekend and then the smoke to which because not everybodys going get their power shut off. You know just depends on where you are right everybody is going to probably start smelling that smoke that smoke is very much so going to be something a lot of people are picking up on today as it settles into the day we have High Pressure in place that sinking air says going to push it right down into the bay and winds if any wind that we do see today its going to be light. Its coming in from the north so yeah its pushing in our direction here in the bay area as for skies right now they are Crystal Clear youll likely notice hasan probably a pretty brilliant sunset tonight with that smoke in place that does make for a nice sunset does not make for good friday to be outside too terribly much. So plan a good friday indoors, get yourself to cool spot as it will be another hot day today, 50s and 60s for most of your current temperatures berkeley right now at 73 napa a cool spot at 49. And youre really noticing. The difference in temperatures up in the north bay with santa rosa in petaluma in the 40s after 70s for the same spots yesterday morning. Its going to be another very dry day with bone dry conditions as far as relative humidity goes in the north bay. You pair that with some lighter winds and at least we do have the winds that are calming down. Thats going to help with the firefight up at the kinkaid fire at least temporarily because as we make our way into tomorrow after initially called start here saturday winds are going to pick up and will they be they will be very widespread with these gusts to 30 to 40 Miles Per Hour gusts regularly and then your peak, especially a mountain peaks again topping out at 60 to 70 Miles Per Hour and not only are we going to be looking at widespread strong winds but theyre not going to go anywhere anytime soon saturday night all day sunday and then even into monday morning. Winds are going to remain with us thats a long time to be seeing winds that strong and then definitely has a lot of people concerned why we do have high wind watches taking Effect Tomorrow night and also of fire weather watches likely to become red flag warnings by tomorrow evening. As for today, it is our break from the wind at least not yet from the heat though 80s 90s for your daytime highs oakland, san jose Napa Santa Rosa all in the 90s. San francisco mill valley, redwood city and hayward might as well be highs right under 90 degrees at 88 or 89 degrees today. Tomorrow, not quite as hot. We start com. We dont end the day come though tomorrow night winds pick back up sunday will be cooler but very much so windier and thats where the concern lies. Monday winds start to come down and after that things look to be a lot better for the rest of the forecast, good news for halloween plans. But definitely focusing on the rest of the weekend. Plan is little activities as possible just get yourself to a cool spot. And if you have respiratory conditions and boy the spending too much time outside today. Robin. Alright checking in on the traffic coming in from the north bay, pretty light and quiet for friday. It is only 21 minutes so really hasnt even picked up from the north bay rolling south on one oh one across the span through the tolls out to doyle, its just wide open so 21 minutes right on time to the toll plaza, the bay bridge traffic is backing up and its not that bad, its only spilling back be on west grand off and on and just about reached the bottom of the maze, but its not even backed up through the maze this morning, youre looking at 13 minutes and you will get some relief west of Treasure Island as usual, but no major issues to report in the mix of are in the middle of that slow traffic. Now 1, 1, to San Francisco thats getting a little crowded, but its not bad, its only 8 minutes from brisbane to the 80 split to 80 if youre taking that its wide open to downtown San Francisco and then a really quick peak in the south bay. These numbers are slowly on the rise, but were just looking at moderate crowding for spots like 85 so leaving san jose making it into Mountain View youre only averaging 23 minutes started back to you thanks a lot and lets get back to the big story in the south bay, the dangerous fire conditions, cal fires on high alert through the weekend.
