Right now, the measure is trailing by nearly 3 points. One San Francisco lawmaker says the lack of extra revenue will deeply impact schools and local communities. He also worries about what will happen to the states budget if prop 15 fails and the economy continues to tank. I am very concerned because the economy and the revenues that it generates is what drives our budget. If the economy is not open then it is very difficult to generate those revenues. A spokesperson for Oakland Unified School district projects oakland schools would receive an extra 14 million 25 million if prop 15 passes. Additional funds would not kick in until 2025. When it is chilly, not so much. The chilly temperatures meant business was slow for restaurants downtown last night. It was quiet, especially for the restaurants without heat lamps. In fact, you cant find them anywhere. They are all sold out. Many restaurants said that business was down 30 compared to a warmer sunday during the pandemic. Sonoma county is the only bay area county that is still stuck in the states most restrictive purple tear, meaning that the coronavirus is still widespread. That means Indoor Dining is not allowed. I knew there was a cold front coming but was not sure how cold it would be. It is interesting being up here. A lot of Indoor Dining is open so i was shocked. Reporter it is a very different picture up here where they are still in the purple tear with only Outdoor Dining. We are following a fire burning at georgiapacific facility. This is on alvarado street in the southwest part of the city. It broke out at about 11 30 last night. It is generally under control right now but firefighters are making sure that it does not erupt. We are dealing with some difficult materials and there. This is a facility that helps with the production of paper and Chemical Products so plenty of fuel for the fire. Alameda county firefighters tweeted out this video. They have to clear the sand out of roadways. It has caused a couple of traffic accidents. Speed stepping down about 6 Miles Per Hour in that area. If your commute takes you toward the east shore freeway toward the bay bridge, you might want to stick with 242 down to 680. Right now, youre looking at a 30 minute drive time westbound ported from antioch over toward 80 and east shore freeway. If you are headed north, you could take 680 to 780 instead. Our other trouble spot is the right into the Altamont Pass. A 30 minute drive time from 205 to 680. Delays start out of tracy. You have a few brake lights. Just beyond there, traffic is starting to slow down a little bit. Wind advisory also in effect for the Altamont Pass right now. Be extra careful as you travel through there. Northbound 101 out of send martin into morgan hill, and ski area where we see a lot of super commuters. They are starting to get a bit busy there. Traffic is starting to stack up here.
