Thats what happened in this chevron gas station. I wouldnt consider driving my truck through a carwash. Th haul truck and was determined to wash it because decided it was dirty. The woman blew through this warning sign and then circled around and headed right to the carwash. In the process we are told that gonzalez ran through the opening to the carwash and then got stuck inside. She wasnt just rolling forward. No, there are tire marks on the ground. After realizing she was trapped, she drove forward and backward repeatedly trying to get out. Management told her multiple times to stop before they turned off power and she was able to get out safely. Ive been doing this for 25 years, ive never done this. The toe crews came to extricate the uhaul. What was the hard part . Getting it out of the carwash when it was wedged all the way in the front, the second hard part was getting it out of the building. Leave it to the professionals to prove they can get the job done. After several hours, the uhaul was out and the ordeal over with, gonzalez charged with dui and possession of stolen property. To catch a thief in the carwash is not the way most would want to come clean. While she made a clean getaway. I thought, for the first time in ages we will not have to discuss fires or fire danger and im wrong. Well you are partly right because its not likely have a red flag warning, but the creek fire that started two months ago still putting smoke in the sky. Thats what you are seeing out there the cameras weve got on the salesforce tower, this is one of them. They are fantastic for the real pretty views you get. But this exclusive network of cameras weve got on top of that tower are also excellent to give us a perspective you cant really otherwise get. When you are this high looking across the bay out toward sausalito and richardson bay, you cant miss it read hayes really shows up. But if we use that same amount of cameras and looks out, same story. You cant make out the south bay. On a clear day you can see out towards loma prieta. Not today. And with all that haze we are reading right about here. All of the air sensors on the website are now moderate. Weve been through much worse than this. And most of the smoke we are seeing is pretty elevated and coming from the creek fire which is right here. This might look familiar. For the last two months, every day, i could point to that part of california and show you a pretty sizable plume of smoke. That was one of the areas that were hit hardest by that tree die off. And the smoke is getting pulled our way. Heres our smoke forecast come into tomorrow, it will keep coming. Sunday will look hazy. Air quality will stay moderate. It will probably hold that way through monday. Not a whole lot of reason to believe anything will change significantly for much of this week. Week may go up or down a little but in general it will be kind of hazy with moderate air quality. Until the change comes on friday. Wait until you see how different the numbers will be by friday. These numbers are about 10 degrees above average. But since we are going into the evening, lets see how this will play out and concord at 81, i will use you as my example. It was 81 at 5 00, get you back down to the upper 60s i 8 come and if you are still out by nine, this is our warmest spot. Getting down to 60 in the later hours. Comparison for santa rosa, this will be the coolest numbers going all the way down into the low 50s by 9. And watch the numbers, a little bit, so just kind of our four examples to pinpoint locations around the bay. And then after halloween, like 2 am tomorrow after halloween, the clocks get setback. And its a good reminder, test the smoke alarms and replace the batteries. And look at the difference in times, sunset right around 6 10, sunset tomorrow, 5 10. So we lose the hour they are beginning the hour in the morning. So the sun will come up an hour earlier, by 6 35 we will get sunlight in the sky. Morning lows bring us back down to the mid and upper 40s, daytime highs tomorrow will come right back to where they were today, about 10 to 12 degrees above average for this time of the year. And that is where we will sit. But look at the drop off on friday. I tend to agree drop from one day to the next. Which might sound dramatic but that gets us right back down to average. And i hesitate to even say this, there is a small chance we might get some light rain going into friday and saturday. We will keep an eye on that as we get closer. Now, vern, over to you. Sort of like the bill of rights to the constitution. It is what the individual rights are, not what government or county clerk recorders rights are. Among the rights listed, the right to drop off a completed bow by mail ballot at any polling place and also the right to vote even if your name is not on the list. In that case you would vote using a provisional ballot and your vote is counted if Elections Officials determine you are eligible. You also have the right to receive a new ballot if youve made a mistake as long as you have not already cast the first one. And the right to cast a secret ballot with out anyone tell you how to vote. Some of those might seem pretty selfevident but they are important, especially when it comes to making sure your ballot is counted and not cast out. If someone makes a mistake and they try to correct it on the ballot the machine reader will not necessarily determine what the voter intent was. So if you made a mistake or lost your ballot you have the right to ask for a second and a third.
