This is on the san miguel avenue. The Fire Department posted this video on twitter. Saying this fire started over the last half an hour in one home and and the fire spread to a neighboring house. No word on the cause. Developing this morning, thousands of bay area homes and businesses are bracing for fire danger and now pg e is putting customers on notice about potential power shut off. Emily turner joins us from oakland with who is affected. There are thousands affected. In fact, Alameda County is one of the hardest hit. If i move out of the way, you can see everything is all lit up and that can be a very different picture in a couple of days if that does come to fruition. Pg e is warning 50,000 customers in total could have their power shut off starting on wednesday. The utilities keeping a close eye out in zones 3 and 4. Including parts of the north bay mountains. Mount st. Helena and sections in the east bay as well near mount diablo and the oakland hills. There are also pockets in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the xr mountains. The governor is now talking about the work being done. s back strengthening partnerships and that includes 50 Million Dollars of work money that we distributed to the counties and ngos, not governmental organizations. Hours after sundays crash, a similar accident happened less than 1 mile away at another shopping plaza. A woman driving an f1 50 was trying to park and accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake and crashed into a food cart and its vendor killing the man. The drivers in both cases have not been charged with any crimes. The state is set to update its tier map of Santa Clarita county. Indoor dining would reopen up to 25 capacity in the orange. Movie theaters would also resume with no more than 100 people. In the north bay, Sonoma County is going to stay in the purple zone, the most restrictive of the reopening process because they have seen a growing number of new cases. Her mother pays 700 a month to live your. Market rate would mean paying more than 3000 a month and these tenants found out for the 1st time at the end of last year that the bmr status was expiring and it came as a surprise to every single one of them. And we have residents paying 300 or 400 or even under 300 so where are they going to go . You are talking about residents in their 80s and 90s. The former mayor and now city councilmember in boston city has been tracking the expiration of these bmrs and looking for a solution. The city offered one this month. The city will be putting the money in so we have invested in making sure our residents are taken care of. Foster city will pay the Management Company up to 400,000 to buy these tenants sometime. The second it was extended was a tremendous relief. While she says she is grateful, she realizes it is just a bandaid. Even though we are really happy with the decision to do the extension, it is a temporary solution. We still have a long road ahead of us, a lot of work to do. Reporter to qualify for the Affordable Housing program, tenants have to meet certain thresholds. The mother and brother collectively make 22,000 a year, 36,550 is considered extremely low income in san mateo. Those programs will not take a tenant unless they are making more than that amount. We wanted them to be aware that no matter what the solution , there will still be some members of that community who have no place to go. That is the biggest challenge right now . That she doesnt qualify . The next step, the city is hoping to work with them to preserve some of these units so that tenants dont find themselves in that situation yet again next year. Reporter that is the big question and what that means is that these neighborhoods, while they are all lit up now, can be gusty and in the dark starting tomorrow, as early as tomorrow. This comes after the secretary of state and the attorney general issued a ceaseanddesist order demanding that the party remove all unofficial ballot boxes by thursday.
