That line of yellow there. Thats whats going to sweep across the entire bay area over the next five hours. Not heavy rain and there will be plenty of breaks. Its not going to rain continuously for the next five hours. But as we bring it on shore, now the focus is no longer the north bay. Were seeing it rain pretty much bay area wide. Light showers across the bay area peninsula. Weve gotten to the 11 00 hour today. Were seeing showers focused over in the east bay as that line of showers works its way from west to east. And once we get into the afternoon, some breaks are going to come down. Its really not until we get into the early evening that this turns off completely. Petaluma youre getting the best rain of anybody and its coming right into downtown. You can see mcdowel boulevard going through the center of the screen. Santa rosa youve noticed a few showers as well. Not as impressive as petaluma at this point. And if we come out for the wietder view, you can see theres a lot more of this off the coast. What we do now is we switch from hidef doppler. This will pretty much be morning long bay area wide. Its going to be morning rain pretty much for all of us. 10 is not much of a downpour. Plan on slick roadways. Look at the time stamp here. That says 2 00 in the afternoon. By the time weve gotten to 2 00 in the afternoon, things have started to quiet down. That one looks far less impressive than today even. If you look at the rainfall totals focused mainly on the first half of monday. Its really going to be to our south. San jose gets a quarter of an inch. But youre going to see that in the 7day forecast when we get there. Todays rains obvious. Sunday we get a break. Monday there are a few light showers on there. We cant rule it out entirely for the rest of the bay area but it will be light on monday and look how fast we turn around from there. Daytime highs are going to skyrocket again.
