Now tonight were outside the Corning Police department where corning officers were a part of this shootout that eventually killed the gunman. 43yearold kevin neal is known to officers. He ran damly picked randomly picked targets. Sarah gonzalez was one of the targets. Reporter what did he do . He shot through the front windshield. At you directly . Right. What was going through your mind . At that moment nothing until he left. Reporter towards a Rancho Elementary School where her daughter ariana goes to school. He already crashed into the fence, was loading up his gun he had already crashed into the fence, was loading up his gun. I could hear children screaming. Normally you can hear their voices in the morning, but at that point the guns were so loud and it felt like it was right on top of us. And because the loft locks from the outside, they believe workers were held against their will and hidden away for profit. It was allegedly operated by this man, the owner of the company joe torreshernandez, a man with a long history of chatting im cheating immigrant workers and threatened them if they complained. Workers understood that to mean their families could be harmed or killed. He recruited workers from mexico and took family Contact Information in case of emergencies, so he knew where they lived.
