She got video of it. I know. Tell the tale. Amazing to hear. Show the baby when he grows up. So many stories of close calls. Yeah. So this morning, i want to talk about these winds. We have been waiting to see if they are going to pick up in the areas of the fire. Whats happening now is that the winds are picking up along the coastline. Thats good news in the kpix. Com fire. We are seeing strong winds but not so much as to where the fires are burning. You will see air quality in the unhealthy range there this mo. Well see the smoke further south. Mount diablo 53mileperhour gusts. Oakland hills 36. San francisco 34. Monterey 34, as well. Half moon bay, bodega bay, wind gusts very high up there between 35 to 45 Miles Per Hour. So we were expecting to see peak gusts this morning and overnight last night. And it looks like they are happening. But just not in the areas of those fire zones so thats good news. What we are going to watch though the next few hours especially with the winds coming from the northwest, this area thats glowing in the red and orange, that of course is an area of concern with the firefighters that are out there, of course, with all those homes that are in the line of those fires. So when we start to see those winds intensify from napa, fairfield, 6 00, 7 00, 8 00, that of course will be the time where there will be some critical fire danger. Then by noon the winds ease up. So between 6, 7 a. M. , to about noon, those sustained winds will get strong. Then after noon, they should calm down to below 10 Miles Per Hour. Santa rosa may see some winds pick up tonight about 7 p. M. That will be a northwest wind coming. So when we start to see those northeast winds coming down in the next few hours thats when our humidity levels will drop, as well. Humidity levels at the moment are not too bad. But north winds are causing the air quality to be unhealthy especially this morning in napa. Particulate matter there right now 329. Thats whats been happening overnight in the earlymorning hours. Of course, very unhealthy for peoples lungs. Oakland 161. Livermore 152. The earlymorning hours, air quality index anything over 200 is in that very unhealthy range. So heres how its going to shape up today. We are going to start to see a lot of that nasty smoke pushing further south. Its going to get beyond san jose, beyond monterey. So this entire area of Northern California will be in that unhealthy range. In fact, its because obviously the north winds will cause the worst air quality we have seen in the bay area. Its unfortunately going to stay bad for days because we are not expecting too much clearing. We need that rainfall to happen and thats not in our forecast anytime soon. So the winds increasing this morning. I want to recap whats going on today. The wind direction will send that smoke down south. Temperatures good news here, they are cool, but the air will be dry as we get more of those winds coming in. So look at the rain. Unfortunately, to the north of us, washington, oregon, getting that. We are going to see some High Pressure coming in friday into sunday. So we are going to get more critical fire danger by then. A fire weather watch in effect from friday to sunday morning with humidities dropping again and wind gusts picking up again. Temperatures today will feel comfortable out there at least when it comes to temperatures. 68 for oakland. 64 for San Francisco. Napa will be 73 degrees today.
