Now the District Attorney pamela price said that she is doubling down announcing today that she is matching that grant with another 2 million from her budget. Combined investment will fund two dedicated retail theft prosecutors and two inspectors. It will also funnel more money into the nonprofit Restorative Justice program that the d. A. Office partners within hopes of getting to the root causes. Our First Response is to get to the services you need to stop the behavior from happening. We have a system that will make its approach starting tomorrow night into Early Saturday Morning especially for those folks who live in the north bay. Well have the best chance of seeing the shower activity as well. And forecasted highs for today, it will be slightly warmer. 81 in san jose. 81 in concord. And 70s through oakland, palo alto, napa. In San Francisco, it will feel warmer as well in the upper 60s, maybe even hitting some low 70s in through the afternoon. As far as that storm time line that i was mentioning, you will notice friday at about 10 30, we see it just off the coast. But a lot of that will mainly be focused out through parts of the north bay by about 4 00 well see some of that move into the far north. Ukiah, napa, sonoma. Notice 10 00 friday night, know novato, as well. You will see likely some drizzle around the coastline. Mainly around the north bay in through parts of the peninsula. Expect to see some cloud cover as well. By saturday afternoon, well keep some of the cloud cover and then things clear out and as far as rain totals go, it wont be a lot. Trace amounts, were wering anywhere from about tenth of an inch to just under a quarter of an inch for most spots throughout the bay area. And that is going to bring windy conditions as well especially around the coastline in through the interior valleys. Expect to see some changes in that forecast heading into next week as well. Believe it or not, we do have the possibility of seeing more rain heading into next week and also another warmup as well. And ill take you through more on that timing coming up in a few minutes. Meanwhile in san jose, about 54 degrees right now. By 12 00, well bump up to the 70s. But expect south bay to reach the 80s. Also notice the wind gusts. Right now wind speeds are calm, but well have another breezy afternoon. Wind speeds from around 10, 15 Miles Per Hour with gusts upwards of 20 plus at times. Especially for some of the higher peaks. And through the interior valleys for the afternoon. So by friday night into Early Saturday Morning, that is when the changes move in in the form of some rain chances for the north bay and a slight warmup today. At least we wont be in the 90s. And trafficwise still the Richmond Bridge . Yeah, right side, three lanes are blocked. And you will see signs coming down the east shore freeway toward that Richmond Bridge. Westbound 88 will say no wide loads because the far right lane is where the larger trailer, tractor trailers, go through the area. The one with maybe houses or larger vehicles. So no additional slowing right now, but highway 4 and 37 do show the build. Still seeing a slowing clearing up 580 westbound through dublin. And south bay peninsula all moving well. Back to you. New overnight, a motorcyclist is dead after a crash in san jose. It happened after 11 00 last night on camden avenue. Here is new video.
