For tonight into early tomorrow morning thats the reason why the red flag warning and the high fire danger does continue through tomorrow morning, but were going to see those temperatures reaching into the mid70s and our sevenday forecast shows a lot of 70s throughout the week. We should have some much more quiet conditions after tomorrow. But then well be turning our attention to the potential of another high wind event by the end of the week as we look into the week its going to warm up just slightly. A lot to watch out here for as our temperatures are very cold but those winds are still pretty high. How is it looking right now for the morning commute, mike . Kari, it looks like we have two new incidents on my map. Theyre not traffic incidents. They just popped up from our traffic report. Lets get a look. We have a couple san jose incidents, one looks like a crash and another is a hazard. Both are small fires that got reported to our traffic system so they just put a marker in there. Theyll probably clear in the next couple of minutes but small fires sparking around because of fallen wires throughout the overnight hours. Raiders lineman trent brown tested positive for covid last week, and the entire offensive line was sent home. Only brown and safety Jonathan Abrams were not allowed to play yesterday, but the league says brown had not been wearing his Contact Tracing device, which is required by the nfl, and the linemen often met without masks during practice. So we just want sky ranger and its heading over to the east bay to see what we can see from above, if we have some downed tree limbs or whats going on because we know that those winds have been very high. This is a look at the view were seeing right now from sky ranger as it is moving over, of course, a very dark bay area. Well see if we can see some downed tree limbs or power lines and also assess the damage as were still getting some really high wind gusts this morning. Well continue to watch that. Also if youre heading out the door and you see some tree limbs or any kind of damage, send it to me on social media. Im at kari hall weather. Ive retweeted so we can see whats happening around the bay area. Let me show you how high the winds were earlier this morning. We had a wind gust on mt. St. Helena that topped 89 miles an hour. It has been roaring out there and for our winds around some of our Higher Elevations its been up to 71 in middletown. Calaveras road 63mileperhour gusts and mt. Diablo a gust of 56 Miles Per Hour. Looking at our winds still this high wind event continues through at least 11 00. And then winds will calm down. This morning we have a freeze warning in he can for parts of lake and Mendocino County through 9 00 this morning. So were watching out for the potential of some damaged crops. Whats happening here is we have High Pressure just off to the west of us. Low pressure to the east causing those winds to rush off the shore and it also is giving us some very low humidity increasing our fire danger for today. So as we go into the forecast, once that low pressure moves off to the east well still see the High Pressure remaining and temperatures will be slightly above normal reaching into the upper 70s for the inland areas. Another possibility of some high winds by the end of the week and, of course, well have more updates on that. As we head over to you, mike, how is it looking for the morning commute . Kari, still looking slow in one key spot. Well give the warning for folks in the trivalley. You can read what it says west highway 84 and Little Valley road. Now its actually a little bit before that right around the plant entrance there as folks travel out of pleasanton heading to 680. So, folks, if you see this at home head back up to stanley or use the dublin interchange as your alternate. A little slowing where ive circled and the bay bridge toll plaza. We have the backup and the metering lights keeping things lighter on the span. Back to you. All right, thank you, mike. Happening now america has its first black cardinal.
