Unfortunately, these are very good conditions for wildfires but, fortunately, no reports of fire activity here in the east bay. But as a precaution as you mentioned pg e has shut off a power for customers here in danville. The east and south bays and the peninsula. This is so the power lines and equipment arent energized if they were to get knocked down by these winds. You can see the latest numbers from pg e in contra costa. 1,000 customers without power and Alameda County around 5,300 and San Mateo County around 1,700 and Santa Clara County around 2,200. They prepared the public for these Public Safety power shutoffs setting up stop signs for Traffic Controls since stop lights will be out. Power might not get turned back on until 10 00 tomorrow night because pg e has to check their lines and equipment after the winds die down. It will be followed quickly by another period of winds thursday night into friday. So, its really looking to us like two risk periods of winds.
