They say theyre excited to welcome back some of those furloughed employees after being closed for 27 weeks, as well as greet some of those new faces. Just in, we are learning new details about plans to remember the late justice. Justice ginsburgs body will lie in repose wednesday and thursday at the Supreme Court building in washington d. C. Her coffin is expected to arrive there just before 6 30 wednesday morning when a private ceremony will be held. The public will be able to participate in outdoor viewing. This is during those days. She will lie in state at the capitol building. This is on friday where another private ceremony will be held. Ginsburgs family revealed that they plan to hold a priva burial next week at Arlington National cemetery. Local members are also really being getting a part of this. Those memorials are popping up throughout the bay area as well for Supreme Court justice. That celebration was held at oaklands lake mere. Many believe this is not time for politics. I dont want it to be about other sides. This is about humanity. This is about justice. This is about all of us having rights, and that is what the notorious rbg stood for. On 6th and santa clara streets. Police say they found that man stabbed with a stab wound. He later died at the hospital. Police say the suspect is still on the loose. And a Police Officer is recovering after a crash in san jose. This happened a little before 1 00 this morning at third and taylor streets. Police say that that driver ran a stop sign, tboned that patrol car. Police say that the driver suffered major injuries but will survive. The air quality starting to improve, however, an unhealthy air advisory still in place today. It looks like and clear for us there. Met meteorologist kari hall has been tracking. Especially if you are sensitive to the smoke you may already be affected by it. As we take a look at some of our views in the south bay where we do have some of the best air quality. Its been a little bit unhealthy in the east bay and definitely in the north bay. As you head up toward lake and mendocino counties, there is that smoke advisory there because of the smoke that is moving in that area. And we are seeing some good air quality in parts of the south bay for the forecast. But well have a couple of things in the works that will change our wind direction and wind speed by this evening well see this system dropping in from the north. And thats going to give us more of a wesley wind and help push that smoke off towards the east so we are going to catch a break here for many of our micro climates. Lets get a look at our forecast because it shows the wind direction as well as the wind speeds. We are seeing more of a westerly wind increasing later on this evening once that sea breeze picks up we will see some clear air especially for this evening. And its also going to be a much more comfortable day. But if you are sensitive to the smoke, you need to limit your time out there, even as these temperatures start to come down a few degrees. The judge agreed allowing the case to play out in court. Now to those fires burning statewide. Nearly 30 major wildfires continue to burn. Among them, the el dorado fire in San Bernardino and riverside counties. Thats the fire started during a gender reveal party and also claimed the life of a firefighter. Its now 59 contained. The fires around the bay area are almost fully contained. The creek fire and fresno county, which forced yosemite to close, is 27 contained. And firefighters in Southern California are really focused on saving homes in los angeles county. The bobcat fire has already burned more than 103,000 acres in Angeles National forest doubling in size over the weekend. Firefighters also have about 15 of the fire under control, and says that its really been challenging to fight since that fire is burning in areas that have not burned in decades. Lets get a look at our good air quality that we have over san francisco. It looks pretty nice here especially as were getting some sunshine, and its a beautiful way to start out our work week. Although we still have been seeing some drifts of smoke moving in, especially in the east bay. This shot does look a little bit more hazy as we look toward the hills. And you can barely see mt. Diablo there. San francisco is the only spot right now thats green showing good air quality. But then we have yellow which means you should definitely exercise caution if you are going to be outside, maybe not spend so much time out there. We will see those numbers in the 70s and 80s measuring the particulate matter and the amount of smoke in the air that makes it hard for people with breathing problems or if youre sick right now you definitely want to limit your time out there. But we will see some improvements as the day goes along as our temperatures start to warm up, it wont be as hot as yesterday, so thats some good news there. Were looking at highs up to about 74 degrees in fremont at about 2 00 this afternoon. Well be in the low to mid80s for the east bay as well as the south county. You can see morgan hill at about 85 degrees. And then going into this evening Holding Steady there. But then we will start to see the winds picking up and its going to cool off nicely this evening right at about 7 30 a really good time to go out for a walk because we will see our air quality improving and temperatures will be mostly in the 70s around the bay area. As we go into tonight or early tomorrow morning, a nice cool start to the day. And were looking at a system thats dropping in from the north. Its going to bring in some more clouds, some rain to the Pacific Northwest as it moves in our wind direction and wind speeds will change. So were looking at a southwesterly wind for much of the early afternoon turning more westerly as we see those winds pick up to about 20 miles per hour, especially along the coast line. Tomorrow we are noticing an all westerly wind, which will push any smoke that were seeing across the region directly off towards the east and away from the bay area. So thats the reason why as we go through the forecast were going to see a nice cooldown with more of that ocean influence in our weather. But then look at what happens for the weekend. We are going to see High Pressure building and thats going to cause our temperatures to ramp up, possibly more smoke coming back in as well as a high fire danger. So looking at our air quality forecast, looking good for the south bay but still a little unhealthy elsewhere. We will see some over the next couple of days.
