When they said we are able to accommodate people one person at a time and that we can set up that time, i trusted that. As it turns out, it was a set up. So i take responsibility for falling for a set up. Now, i did get a chance to go on the yelp page and, yes, there is some backlash from mixed reviews and showing support or against the owner after this incident. But kious did say in that interview with Tucker Carlson that she thinks her business is done here at union street due to the backlash. Well see what happens there. Firefighters and power grid operators are bracing for a dangerously hot and dry Labor Day Weekend. Today in the bay tom jensen live near brentwood where neighbors are hoping they dont have to evacuate, again. And hope they wont lose power in what will be a very hot weekend. Good morning to you, tom. Good morning to you, as well. Very hot weekend. It could get up to 110 degrees in Contra Costa County and neighbors in this area could face Power Outages along with power curtailments around other parts of the bay area and northern california. And this is, this area has faced this before. This is an area where the deer zone fire sparked or caused evacuation. And those hot temperatures in the forecast coming up. Mike, hows it looking right now for the commute . Well, kari, things are looking pretty pleasant as far as the drive and remember were approaching a Holiday Weekend and less of a commute and we had even less right now. Well look at the bay bridge toll plaza where theres no real backup and things moving very smoothly on the approach and the map shows you the slowing through the Construction Zone south 880 is clearing even now as we speak to create clearing from that direction. North 101 on the peninsula and one lane still blocked by a crash activity and the injuries sound like minor injuries and not major as originally reported. One crash in the south bay and not on the freeways. Well talk about that coming up. Back to you. Thank you, mike. Dwayne the rock johnson not as tough as wed like to hear. President trump is encouraging his supporters to vote once by mail and one in person. To see if officials will do it on his count. Well talk about that in a second. I understand you guys have a little bit of breaking news and little bit of live video you want to show. Lets get right to it. This is spacex that is about to launch off from Kennedy Space center in florida. This is the 12th mission. Lets listen in to the countdown. Five, four, three, two, one. Zero. Ignition. And liftoff. As we watch that liftoff, well tell you that the falcon 9 rocket is taking satellites into orbit. Launched 600. The Company Hopes to land the first stage of a falcon9 rocket on a drone ship about nine minutes after liftoff. So, well be watching that for the next nine minutes. For now, well go back to scott mcgrew who is talking about voting and voter fraud. President trump asking us to vote twice. Once in person and once by mail. You say thats illegal, scott. It is illegal. Good morning, i was just texting elon saying why do that in the middle of my segment. Is that not something you could wait a couple minutes on . President trump in North Carolina talking to his supporters suggested that they should vote twice. Once by mail and once in person in order to figure out, you know, which vote goes through. That is voter fraud. It is a felony. And it is illegal to even suggest or encourage voter fraud, as well. And you can bet well talk about that several times over the next couple of days. But this morning what i would really like to talk about is the National Guard. Take a listen to this political ad that was running in wisconsin. President trump is sending National Guard and federal Law Enforcement to protect wisconsins family. All right. You heard it right there. The campaign claims that the president sent in the National Guard to wisconsin. That is not accurate. The president of states does not demacommand the National Guard. It is not a National Force at all. State governors command their various guard units and it was the wisconsin state governor who call called up his guard. He asked other states to send in their state forces. They did, but the command stay would the governors who sent them. Alabama, michigan. Yet the president over and over claims it was he who brought the guard in. We called up the National Guard. We sent it out and they did a fantastic job last night. We are finally able to get the go ahead from the local authorities to end is in the National Guard. We sent in the National Guard. And it all stopped immediately upon the National Guards arrival. And once we said lets go, that was the end of it. Unfortunately then a few days when people wouldnt call us. They didnt want to have us come in. When the governor didnt want us there, he didnt want the National Guard, as you reluctan. When the president says we in washington, washington did not do anything. The president does not command the National Guard unless he federalizes it, which he did not do in this case. So, the guard is not a federal force. The president does not command. Its a National Guard in wisconsin is made up of people from wisconsin who are commanded by the governor of wisconsin. When the president says we sent them in and you hear him say it in future crises, unless he is federalizing him, what hes saying is not true. Well be monitoring, of course, what is happening in washington and this new push for the double vote. You can talk about it on twitter. You can join me scottmcgrew. Thank you, scott. We talked about how covid19 is indiscriminate and now we know dwayne the rock johnson had coronavirus and his whole family tested positive and he shared the news in an Instagram Video yesterday detailing the diagnosis. This has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family and for me, personally, too, as well. And ive gone through somes doies in td doozies in the past. Thats the look of grandpas face after meeting his very first granddaughter. Her mother posted it to tiktok after flying from california to ohio. It has nearly three million views. The mother says it is certainly worth the trip. That is pretty precious. I cant imagine holding your grandchild. I have some friends who had babies during the pandemic and it is just so hard to know that you cant meet them. Were watching them on facebook. Four months. What do you mean, i havent even nibbled on the toes yet. Im so confused, are we supposed to hang out with our family or not. Were not. I know. We know its going to be abu th quality, were also going to have at times some unhealthy air quality in parts of the north bay and Santa Clara Valley and then as we go into the weekend, well see not only the smoke in the air, but ozone as our temperatures go up on saturday and sunday. And then it continues into labor day, as well. Heres a look at our today high temperatures. Well take it in and enjoy it as our highs reach into the upper 70s in the south bay. Thats actually cooler than normal in san jose and then mid 80s for antioch and concord and up to 77 today in santa rosa.
