This is new video out of Southern California showing groups of glowing dolphins lighting up the waters. This was taken in Newport Beach and later posted on newport coastal adventures facebook page. That encounter happened on wednesday just after sunset. The neon blue appearance is usually caused by algae in the water. But that is really cool to see. Wow. Who knew algae could be so beautiful. There you go. There you go. A way to transport ourselves to a different place just for a moment. I know. I wonder how it would look if we were swimming in there with the algae. I dont want to do that. Slower than the dolphins. Certainly. Theyre saying it will be a gorgeous weekend, but we have a reminder, stay away from the beaches and the coastline and each other. Yeah, and were going to warm up inland, but the coastal areas are going to be very cool so probably not the best Beach Weekend either because we are going to be very warm. A wide range in temperatures. As were starting out right now we take a look at our current temperatures in the 50s and then as we go through the day we take it through about noon where we start to see it warming up to 80 degrees in antioch and 80 in santa rosa. Then we continue to go up even more from there as we look at our afternoon temperatures reaching up to 85 degrees in livermore and then coming back down. It looks like, once again, for the coastal areas well see some fog and a lot of clouds and that will keep the temperatures much cooler there as we head into the next couple of days. And as you get out and make sure youre taking that allergy medication, we are seeing a high amount of tree pollen, a moderate amount of grass pollen, and Everything Else is fairly low. But its really bothering a lot of people right now. We look at our current weather pattern where we see a lot of rain farther to the north, but were missing out on that. Still no changes in the weather pattern the next few days as High Pressure stays right over us, and that keeps all of the rain steering to the north of the bay area. And so as we go through the forecast that High Pressure warms us up and were peaking at 80 degrees. Then we see the temperatures still staying very warm for this time of year into the middle of next week, for San Francisco in the 60s and still looking pretty dry through at least the next week. Ill continue to monitor that. Mike, youve been monitoring the morning commute. How is it looking . Overall pretty good, kari.
